I came out of this place thinking: wait, they can do that with chocolate? Great learning experience. Worth the visit even if you are not planning on buying anything.

Casual store slash museum to educate visitors on the cacao plants. the staff offer samples of chocolate tea, chocolate bars, liqueur and much more . There is a small garden out the back to showcase the actual trees. Great to pick up gifts from Santo Domingo.

We did the full chocolate experience. Our guide Raudy did an excellent job and is a super nice guy! The expression "from the bean to the bar" is a bit ambiguous, what they really do is let you prepare 100%-chocolate suitable for chocolate milk and then give you liquid chocolate that is already made with which you can prepare the bar. One step is thus skipped. This is due to the fact that the process to make white or brown chocolate from 100%-chocolate is more involved. However they explain that process very well, so the whole experience is still very complete. Also you get to taste as much as you want at every stage and get to keep both the chocolate for the milk as well as the bar. It was super interesting and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes cacao.

I loved this place! The chocolate I purchased was amazing, and I bought several other chocolate themed supplies (like shampoo and Chapstick) that I have been very pleased with.

I bought 4 tablets of chocolates presumed 70% cocoa, but I can tell from the taste that first it’s not 70% maybe 20-30% and secondly the taste is not good at all. I don’t recommend to buy their chocolate.

Highly recommended - we did the 2 hour tour and it was a very unusual and educational thing to do. We had our 1 year old baby with us and the guide really got him engaged in the process of roasting, cooling, and peeling the beans with his little chef hat and apron! He loved it! We learned a great deal about the processing of cacao and ended up making our own delicious chocolate bars to take home (mine was dark chocolate with coffee and coconut and it was sooooo good). This is a place you could easily miss when you walk by but it is really worthwhile to stop in for the tour!

My family took the 2 hour class. I learned a lot about the history of chocolate and how it is made. We tasted cocoa in many forms which originated from different cultures. My family and I had a blast. I ate so much chocolate which was a sensory delight. Chocolate is not easy to make by hand!
