The nicest beach on Las Galeras. They have a well organised and clean beach with sunbeds, pinas, fresh fish and juices. There was a lady with a massage bed nearby and some great trees to chill underneath from the burning sun. Balenas No, but loads of space to roll like one and clear waters further away from the surf.

I had a great time at Javo Beach La Playita, the locals called it La Playita. There is a nice restaurant with food and drinks. There is another area where they sell local food or comida criolla and drinks as well. The food in both areas tastes good. They both have outdoor seating on the beach and under the shades of trees so you can enjoy your food and drinks in a beautiful, clean, relaxing environment overlooking the crystal clear ocean water among many other people. This is a place to be enjoyed by everyone, individuals, and families including children. You won't want to leave this place.

I really enjoyed this beach! Waves are just perfect and it’s a kids friendly environment since it’s very quiet and beautiful!

The beach is not long but very cozy. Located in the bay on the North- east of Samana peninsula, where Carribian meets Atlantic

One of the most beautiful beach in Las Galeras. Lots of people, somehow crowded, but It did not compromise. With restaurant, tents with massage, beach chairs to rent. Lots of amenities to enjoy. The food at Isabel Restaurant was amazing. Fresh fish with lots of side dishes. Ask the locals to indicate the place.

Here are my up's 👍🏼 and down's 👎🏼... 👍🏼 Beach and water 👍🏼 Panorama 👍🏼 Ability to buy food/drinks 👍🏼 Ability to rent lounge chairs 👍🏼 Accessibility 👎🏼 Flies, dogs and bugs (a lot) 👎🏼 Boats near shore for picking up people (dangerous because they don't pay attention at people swimming)

This beach is about a mile away from town, so it's nice and quiet. It has beautiful clear water with an epic view of the mountains!! I loved it here. The sunset was also very beautiful! The water seemed just a little bit cooler than it was on the opposite side of the Samana peninsula, but for those who don't like the very warm Caribbean water in the summer time, you'll probably like this!

I’m blessed to have visited many beautiful beaches in my life and this one is no exception. Calm beautiful water, nice cool sand, and a beautiful mountain background. This is definitely a special place! You can rent lounge chairs and there are plenty of palm trees providing shade. The water’s temperature is perfect.

Clean family friendly beach. Best around this part of Samana. Food and drinks plenty. Safe and great swimming. Dogs calm and a few bums but not bothersome.

Fabulous beach - directly next to Playita Beach. It's paradise. Lots of great little restaurants scattered along the beach serving Dominican style food, chairs and umbrellas available to rent. Pinacoladas served with an entire pineapple. Yummy. Great snorkeling too!

I absolutely love this beach! Clean beach, super friendly staff, delicious food and drinks. My all time favorite in Samaná (aside from Playa el Rincón)

Nice little beach. The bottom is a little rocky, but the rocks are not sharp and mostly covered with seaweed. Find a sandy space and float and bask in the sun

My wife and I have been to a lot of beaches in the DR and this one definitly is in the top tier of beaches for us. The people seemed happy and friendly. There were very little vendors which made it feel like it was not just for tourists. Lots of locals at this beach made it feel very authentic which is likely why there were not a ton of venders while it obviously had a lot of tourists as well. Its also a great walk over to the beach. It was about a quarter mile from our place which was one of the closer places a person could stay near this beach.

Great beach just 20 minutes walk from Las Galeras town. It's full of locals and few tourists. Water is calm and warm!

Rustic small village in Samana, Dominican Republic. Far away from large resorts, great food and one of the nicest beaches I have ever bern to. Friendly people. Not much english spoken. Do not wander alone.

We visited this beautiful tranquil beach on a Tuesday. There were not many people around except a few visitors, restaurant workers, and fishermen. There were a few officials from Santo Domingo examining the red mangroves. It wasn't quite clear if the redish pink color was natural or from a dye added to the water. It was the first time seeing red mangroves. It was a beautiful sight, including seeing turtles swimming. You can see across to Playa Rincon and the rest of the beautiful bay and beaches.

Loved this beach for our family. Cleanest beach we encountered, the people working the chairs and restaurants clearly take pride in keeping the beach clean. Nice soft waves were excellent for our kids.

Beach is kept clean. They do not over charge for drinks. Coco loco: 200.00 served in a coconut Pina colada: 250.00 served in a pineapple People are friendly not pushy. Very few peddlers who were not pushy. Quiet enough to mainly hear the waves not people. Food was reasonable. Got chicken and fried plantains for 350.00. Chairs are 100.00 each There may be a parking guy who did he would watch our car for us. I gave m 200 pesos when we left which I didn't mind because parking is free and no one there was raking me over the coals plus he smiled in appreciate to the gift. He wasn't there next time so I think he may have created his own job 😁. At other beaches they hound you and act like you can't park without paying them even though parking is free. Best beach I've visited that has chair side service!!

a small bar and restaurant owned by an italian guy on (in our opinion) the best beach around Samana. Good WiFi connection once your order your food and drinks, good choice of food, service is very basic, prices are OK, you also have a toilet (not extremely clean) close to the beach.

Wowee what a great time! Fried fish was delish of course. They’ve got chairs for rent and great Pina Coladas. Mucho gusto playita. We also had a flat tire and the parking attendant went to town and got someone to come fix it while we hung out on the beach. It cost maybe $15, what else could you ask for?
