Absolutely HORRIBLE service. No available lounge chairs left on the entire beach at 11am? Your problem. You want towels for your whole party to reserve lounge chairs early so you have when you get there at 11am? Absolutely not. You ordered food and a bottle of water an hour ago from a waiter who took your order and payment? Sorry we’re too busy to actually bring that to you and will accuse you of lying when you say that you waited that long even though you’re telling the truth. Nobody told you we’re there only restaurant on the entire hotel property that doesn’t allow you to charge you meal to your hotel room and no one told you when you made the reservation? You should have thought to ask, so your problem. Also, they repeatedly will try to charge you for things your didn’t order or misrepresent what you ordered to increase your bill (charged for 4 individual glasses of wine instead of the bottle we actually ordered… an extra $25… then tried to make excuses to get away with it). Do NOT waste your money at this hotel. All they do is take advantage and blame their poor service on you. Be careful and take you business elsewhere.

This review is in regards to the wedding planner assistant Elizabeth. My fiance stayed at the hotel and he loved it. He spoke to the wedding planner Elizabeth stating that we were interested in Booking our venue. However, when my fiance called numerous times more than 5 times he never got a response back. When he reached a representative he left his name and number to kindly give him a call. No calls were returned by Elizabeth. Finally we got in contact with a representative which stated, Elizabeth was booked for other prior engagement. However, she would return our call. At this time, I felt Elizabeth only attends wealthy people. The mission statement I guess was not up to part with our needs. I wish the next couple to have better luck.

This is a very nice resort. On the positive side: the service is solid (people very nice and happy to work here), food was much better than I was expecting, beautiful beach, and great for golf. On the not as positive side: A stay here is quite expensive especially during seasonal times, everything is very spread out. Yes - each room gets a golf cart - but to drive 20 minutes to dinner and 12 minutes to the beach - is just not ideal to me personally. Rooms need to be updated (ex - there’s no real in room entertainment option (local TV), etc)

Although the environment was beautiful It is only beautiful on the Surface, The hotel leaked when it rains from the Main Lobby, restaurants, Hotel Rooms, Villas. The management Staff was not helpful at all and makes all kind of excuses instead of taking care of the problem, and it seems they have no clue what is happening in the surroundings. Everything is very slow from the checking process to getting your bill at the restaurant. It takes an average of five to seven hours for your room to be ready The Hotel does not have any backup generators when the power goes out. There was no running water to flush the toilets nevertheless to take a shower There is no disaster recovery plan in place and leave you alone to fend for yourself. They have no concerns for the guest wellbeing or safety. There is absolutely no communication whatsoever from management before, during or after Fiona, We had broken windows hanging from the Ceiling in the villa. it is unsafe and could have fallen and hurt someone, water pouring in and flooding the villa, again management were not responsive to any of your calls. We had to take steps of our own to clear the path back to the main hotel from the villa to get some food, water, and supplies, again management make all kind of excuses instead of trying to get a hold of the guests that are in the villas and providing some sort of solution. For the service we received and the quality of food it is not worth the money what is being charge

There is an amazing variety of villas that you can rent for short or extended periods with amazing views and amenities. Most of them include service, butlers and cooks. Or you could also stay in the hotel for a fraction of the price of renting a villa. Very nice and manicured lawns and landscape, good restaurant options, one of the best golf courses in the Dominican Republic, right next to Altos de Chavón which is a great little site for sightseeing, eating, drinking or having fun at night. CC is greatly recommended for a family or a group vacation!

Do not give this resort your credit card information! I stayed at this resort in early Dec 2022. Despite checking out and settling all charges they have charged my credit card without notice 6 weeks later for dining charges even though I had purchased an all-inclusive package. I had to fight them to correct their error and still (Feb 2023) have not received a refund for the incorrect charge. Then 2 months after my original stay they charged my card AGAIN WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION claiming these were transportation charges despite these being charged to my room. I should have taken the advice of the credit card company and cancelled the card after the original charge but I naively thought it could be resolved with this resort. Never give this resort your bank/credit card information.

This is the most exclusive resort we've been offering a variety of services that goes from super market, groceries store, theater, banks, a huge Marina, more than 12 restaurants to choose and many other things, but the best place here is Minitas Beach beautiful white sand clean water. I definitely recommend you should try

Very lovely accommodations & awesome staff. Shopping is good, restaurants are good, beach is a bit crowded. Very long waits for beverages at the bar. Otherwise, houses are gorgeous & well-equipped, and golf cart life is AWESOME here!! A bit far from airports, but worth the drive once you're here.

This was a hard review to give because it is a very nice resort, but when you compare it to other VERY high end resorts it misses the mark on many fronts. First the good: we felt safe. Everything was clean. Food was good (enough). There were lots of options of things to do and relax. And of course, there was golf. The rough spots: service was below average more times than it was above average. The bar right outside the front desk was painfully slow. You'd expect more proactive services like making sure your bag got to and from your room seamlessly. That there was plenty of drinking water available (without asking). Check in and check out took at least 45 minutes on both ends. We also overheard others at the resort complaining of similar experiences - so not an isolated event. We would come back, but it wouldn't be for 6 days and it would be exclusively to play Teeth of the Dog.

Casa de campo is gorgeous, remote, and extremely spacious. I loved the privacy of the resort. The views are incredible, if you’re getting married here, the pictures are going to be stunning. My favorite part of the trip was the Chavion, I loved the old Spanish feel and amphitheater! Cons: the food wasn’t very good at any of the restaurants. The service was very hit and miss. We found ourselves waiting 20 plus mins for our check at several restaurants. For $700 a night, you would think the rooms would be renovated and up to date. Our room was super outdated and didn’t have any modern fixtures. I haven’t seen a room with a DVD player in years. They also dropped the ball when it came to our Romance package, not providing the private dinner and champagne that was advertised. Overall, casa de campo is beautiful inside and out. But I’m not really sure you get your monies worth at the end of the day.

I have stayed in hotels and resorts around the world. This is the worst experience I have ever had, and I paid a premium for it. All the things that should be included with a stay cost money. Wanna use a chair at the beach? Money. Need a ride to the airport? Money. Want toast and coffee for breakfast? Money. We arrived to find out that there was a 30% extra fee added that we were not told about and our only form of recompense was to cancel the reservation. Service was terrible. The housekeeping and waiters were nice. That's it. The rest of the staff treated us poorly. Reception treated us like we weren't worth their time. When we were asked about our stay, and let them know we were not pleased, the called incessantly. It wasn't just us. The entire wedding party was treated abysmally. I get it. This single review doesnt stand out among the multitude of positive reviews. But I should say I have a history of giving places the benefit of the doubt and being kinder with reviews when I can. This place deserves none of my kindness or understanding. Tl;Dr Don't stay here. Period.

Pretty fabulous place to unwind and relax. Lots of different activities, including beach, pools, horseback riding, tennis, paddleball, golf (4 courses!) and shooting, all set in 7000 acres of resort. The new premier suites were fabulous. Very luxurious.

I only stayed here one night but overall I was quite pleased. My only complaint is that I wish some of the dinning locations opened for dinner a little earlier. After a long day of travel I did not want to have to wait so late for some of the nicer dinner options to be available.

Stayed at Casa de Campo for three nights. Starting with the positives since this was largely a positive experience. The resort is very well maintained. Meticulously kept gardens and lots of pretty gardens. Beautiful golf courses and nice facilities. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. The daily cleaning and turndown services were well conducted. Some staff are definitely very polite and attentive. The food is overall good. A nice variety and selection of great tasting specialties for every taste. The golf karts are an essential part of the experience and give much freedom to explore the entire resort. The golf facilities nevertheless are exceptional and really up to expectations. They are perhaps the main highlight of the entire experience. The negatives. Although some staff were definitely nice and attentive, the majority lack professionalism. The service provided can be very - very - approximate. Sometimes you have to ask several times until you get what you asked for. In addition, the interaction with staff is often borderline rude or at least not courteous manner. Definitely not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The worst part came at check out time, where we were taken care or should I say assisted, by an extremely rude, impolite and arrogant individual who not only was unhelpful but also at times confrontational. Furthermore, service at the beach bar is also poor. Staff seem bothered by anything you ask and regretfully are of little help. Regarding the rooms, they are generally nice and well located, but some seem to be close to main roads and that could be a big problem considering how much traffic there is in the resort. Regarding the food, whilst the selection is varied and caters to every taste, the price/quality ratio is deceiving. While the offering has quality, breakfast is definitely not worth the nearly 40 dollars per person that are charged. Especially given how service is often deceiving. In what regards the beach, while it is well kept, it is very small given how big the resort is. We visited in August and did not experience any crowds, but the beach was already at 80% capacity. I can only imagine what it would be during the high season. While the setting is nice and there are plenty of activities and food offerings, the biggest downside is definitely the service. Often poor, rude and arrogant, it does not live up to expectations and can make what could have been an enjoyable experience, an average one. What a shame.

I've been to DR one other time and stayed in Puerto Plata and I wasn't sure I'd be returning. I came to DR this time for a wedding and stayed at this resort in La Romana. Let me tell you...this resort made up for the bad experience I had last year in Puerto Plata. The grounds are impeccable and the staff are one of a kind. Extremely courteous and helpful. This experience has made me want to return for years to come. I know other individuals have had their issues but this experience was exactly what I needed. I hope my future experiences are just the same. FYI...It may be best to call the resort ahead of time to get an idea of the incidental cost based on your room type and length of stay.

I was able to visit the place and amenities, not the accommodations. But from what I see the place is worth every penny. Beautiful museum, surrounded by nature, very good restaurants and even had a mall inside the property. The beach is beautiful.

Luxury resort where you are completely isolated from Dominican Republic. So if you want 5 golf courses, 2 helipads, 3 polo fields etc this is for you. If you want to see the country then you must go elsewhere. A gilded cage. Everything perfect and fun golf carts to go around the massive territory (but food could be a little better)

If I could give it zero stars I would. I had called the night before for a day pass since I was traveling back to the USA the following day through the Santo Domingo airport. I was ensured that it wouldn’t be an issue, after my long travels to l romana, I wasn’t allow to purchase a day pass because of an event they were having nor was I allow to speak to a manager regarding their staff not having the correct information available. The staff wasn’t helpful at all. Very disappointed for such an high end hotel.

WOW!!! Beautiful property, numerous amenities, with an incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Each room is given a golf cart to navigate the large property and all of the offerings. The pool is luxurious and has plenty of lounge chairs and a bar for your enjoyment. The beach at Playa Minitas is a taste of paradise. Large on premise gym with more equipment than you could ask for. Lastly the golf facilities are incredible with multiple courses, one of which is Teeth of the Dog being one of the most highly touted courses in the world. If you're looking for a luxurious Caribbean resort/golf vacation look no further than Casa de Campo.

We got to walk around as part of a cruise excursion. The place seemed OK if you want to spend time there, but it was not worth just a quick walk around. I would have loved to try some of the restaurants, but there was only time to take a few pictures and look around the gift shops.

We stayed in a villa, and it was perfect, clean, spacious, relaxing everything you want from a vacation, but most importantly service. Juan Sanchez and Francis Fulgencio were excellent, breakfast was made every morning at the time of are liking. A beautiful buffet for are family to share. All of our activities were arranged ahead of time spa, shooting, restaurants. They handle everything to perfection.

Be aware of various prices for the same item through out the resort. Be aware of add-ons to your bill for things you did not use/buy/purchase. Do not use room phones for calls, huge fake charges. Rooms are cold and damp. Air filter was grossly over due to be changed. Restaurants are adequate at best. Golf courses are good but need manicure.

I have no words to describe this upscale "punta cana for millionaires". Luxury, attention, details... Altos de Chavón and the Marina are a must. The beach is just as anyone would have dreamed of to be. I am in love with Casa de Campo.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa de Campo Hotel, and it truly is a golf paradise. With three incredible golf courses on the property, it's a golfer's dream come true. The meticulously manicured fairways and breathtaking views make each round a memorable experience. Beyond the golf, Casa de Campo offers a culinary journey with several fantastic restaurants to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for fine dining or a casual meal, they have you covered. The variety of cuisines and the quality of the food are exceptional. One of the highlights of my stay was the brand new spa. It's a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation. The skilled therapists and state-of-the-art facilities ensure you leave feeling completely pampered. The accommodations are luxurious, and the staff is attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home. Casa de Campo Hotel truly offers a perfect blend of golf, dining, and relaxation. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable getaway. They host many tournaments throughout the year. I have come to the Casa de Campo Open several times. I recommend it 100%

Loved the golf carts given to each room. Manitas beach is beautiful and the club is an amazing place to grab a drink and take in the crystal clear waters. Gym was nice. Rooms felt a bit run down. But the service was fantastic.

Service throughout the entire resort was impeccable; the staff really make every guest feel welcome and valued. If you book the all-inclusive experience then you get unlimited access to several restaurants, as well as drinks by the glass at most bars. The Premier Club is a separate set of rooms which also grants access to the Premier Club Lounge, which is a nice meeting area with a bar and light snacks. The rooms in this section are much more modern and spacious.

We have actually ben here twice on two separate cruises. Always enjoyed it and especially this last time as the driver took us through the adjoining neighborhood pointing out some spectacular homes like J-Lo's while she was getting hitched again in Las Vegas.

I’d give more than 5 stars if we could. The golfing at teeth of the dog was next level, the service at the entire property was so friendly and top notch, and the dining was some of the best we’ve ever had. SBG right on the marina pier was truly a top dining experience with the views and food to match. Would recommend for a romantic trip with your partner or with a big group of friends and family.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Hear me out people looking to have a wedding in this “luxury resort” I can describe it in one word: NIGHTMARE! Since the beginning the communication was a problem with the hotel and wedding team. We had to send many emails and we got a response three weeks later only after posting a bad review on Facebook! Unfortunately, we had to cancel our wedding due to unforeseen circumstances, and now we are in a back and forth with them for a refund of our money which we were told would be given by email confirmation. They are not on the same page, after canceling it, we received 2 separate emails asking for more money to pay for our wedding. They didn’t even notify our photographer (we hired him throughout Casa de Campo) about the cancellation. We had to call the photographer and let him know ourself. Hopefully, we can get the rest of our money back. And hopefully one day, we can speak with the wedding manager Teresa Calcos who looks like is never available. Every time we ask our wedding coordinator to speak with her the response is she works in Canada. Her emails bounce right back when we send them and we can never get put through via phone call. If you are having your wedding there: GOOD LUCK!

I don’t usually write bad review, but this resort’s level of service is ridiculously horrendous for the price you’re paying. If you’re over 65 and looking for a very relaxing (as in everything will take the front desk and concierge more than 45 mins to complete) this is the right place for you. Teeth of the Dog is a pretty course but for the price you’re paying you can easily find better course on the coast (i.e. Westin at Punta Cana or Pebble Beach). Left one more star for them for the big smiles the bell boys put on when you drive / walk by. Not worth.

  • 5/5 Drew W. 7 months ago on Google
Incredible property with hotel, villas and plenty of activities. Entire property is accessible with golf carts. Teeth of the Dog is a world-class course and the restaurants on property were all fantastic. I didn’t have a bad bite of food for 5 days.

Overall impeccable service and outstanding surroundings. I stayed at the premier club and the rooms are stunning! I had an unfortunate event and the staff was so helpful and truly empathized with me and my situation. They drove me back and forth to the clinic several times and never complained about it. I don’t remember all of their names but Charles was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, Daniel the concierge, Eury the driver, Miguel Medina… They were all so accommodating and attentive, and all I can say is that what makes this place beautiful and valuable is not only their wonderful scenario but their people! Thank you!

We are here now and service is absolutely horrendous. I would not recommend this resort at all. Let’s hope the golf is better but so far this place needs new management. Don’t charge for all inclusive when it is impossible to get food or drink. I would give the resort 0 stars if I could.

I understand this is a high end place, but the golf carts were older, rooms have not been touched since they built them. It rained for a full day and that's when you realize there 8s nothing to do there when that rare event happens. Very friendly staff. Food was good but not great. Horse back ridings was my favorite.

we only drove around this huge development, so no comments about the hotel side. it is surely the best and cleanest (and most expensive) development in the Dominican Republic. It is very well maintained and you can see villas of very high standing.

Villa was AMAZING (could do with screen doors). Service on beach LACKED, bunch of young employees that cared more about talking to each other than serving guests. No sense of urgency whatsoever, they really seemed miserable and like they did not want to be there.......shame, as the entire property was great!

This place is terrible. I do not recommend at all. Me and my wife was stranded at the airport and had to take a cab with from the airport with a sleepy driver. We got to the airport and waited 4.5 hours to get the wrong room. Not once throughout the entire trip did they ever say " I'm sorry" in English or Spanish. After repeated discussions we did get a " better room" but then the office tried to charge us for a room closer to what we asked for. The customer service was terrible, the worst that I've ever experienced. The staff in my office treated my wife as if she was invisible and wouldn't address her with any concerns without me also our room voucher we didn't know would be offered until the last day so we spent more money in food. This was after emailing the office repeatedly from transportation, room vouchers from travel zoo, and any other questions or concerns. The staff at night were good, more attentive and helpful. The staff during the day wouldn't even follow through with confirming the emails because "they had too many to check". Dealing with the office was the worst and most stressful part of the trip. We booked our transportation to the airport the day we got there after being stranded at airport coming to the airport. Our transportation leaving the resort was never confirmed, we hoped and guess that the transportation was booked and thankfully it was there. I never once received an apology or any form of good customer service while I was there. Many of the office staff there come across as arrogant. I do not recommend this resort at all. From getting our welcome email late like 2 hours after we check in late and before; the unprofessional staff. This is a place where you will get a terrible experience. I do not recommend this place to anyone. This resort ruined my wedding anniversary, so I hope it doesn't ruin anything for anyone else.

This place was unbelievably beautiful. The staff was above and beyond courteous. Many staff have worked there for 20+ years. They love their jobs and country and it shows. The massages were exceptional. Even booked a 2nd one during our stay. Over 7k acres, you had a golf cart of your own to move freely across the premises. The Maritas Beach was clear and beautiful and the pool there was refreshing. Try the food from the menu. The other food truck had pizza, which was good too. All the restaurants in the inclusive packages were top notch! Highly recommend seeing Altos Chevon at sunrise!!! I would definitely stay there again.

If you can afford it do it. Everyone is super trained to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. ( for the people with food allergies, they take into account the list and they make the necessary changes 🙉🙉, it is nice to eet in peace and all the food 😊 without thinking about it or choosing) Not everything is perfect, the beach is small, the adults only side is a pool with noise but you CAN'T lay down on the beach. For all the rest... imagine it , it's possible there.

Our stay at Casa De Campo was phenomenal! My wife and I always aim to treat ourselves to the fullest during any vacations that arrange and this time there wasn't any exceptions and I must say that we fell in love with the entire resort and it's staff. First of all our wedding planner Deborah is the best you will ever encounter in this field, not only patient but understanding of all our needs and requests. She made this dream of ours come true. We truly feel at debt with her for putting together our paradise in Casa de Campo. Our servers at the restaurants Lagos and La Caña were just flawless at making sure that we felt satisfied especially Wander, this young man always aimed to go above and beyond, hes just amazing at what he does, he is a great asset to this team alongside with his coworkwrs Antonio, Santos & Domingo who also did a great job!! We're already planning on coming back, thank you everyone who made us feel like family.

Casa de Campo is an absolute mess. Every reservation we made 6 weeks before was somehow lost. The lack of communication borders on a joke. The property itself is magnificent. The courses and the restaurants are beautiful. The staff onsite is more than capable, but are constantly scrambling to fix all of the miscommunication. We were fortunate that it was not a busy time due to the virus. Please double and triple check everything you think you have scheduled. All golf, restaurants and scuba diving have no idea what the complex is doing.

We absolutely loved Casa de Campo. The place is beautiful and the staff is so friendly and helpful. We stayed at a villa golf resort and our maid Dorcas was amazing. She had a delicious breakfast for us every morning and will make us the best natural fruit juices that we ever had before. The villa was kept spotless and she would go out of her way to please us. I highly recommend and will definitely return and will request Dorcas again.

I raised from 1 star to 2 stars because the staff is so nice and the food is quite good BUT even after switching rooms, the walls are paper thin and we have a room next door that just opened their door 10 times while we try to sleep and a room below up where the occupant came in late last night and woke us up with their squealing golf cart and voices. The doors must be hollow and the gap underneath a full inch and no rubber seals to insulate the closing so it sound like doors being slammed. The only solution is to come with friends or family and occupy an entire unit of 2 or 4 rooms. Otherwise you are only as strong as your weakest link. Sadly we probably won’t be back as the lofty price is not commensurate with rooms that badly need to be insulated. Sleep is essential when u want to wake up early to play golf.

Make sure to use HotelBolly.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your room. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't regret it. Beautiful stunning. What a dream! We had an amazing wonderful time. The resort was very safe and secure and each spot we went to was more beautiful than the last. All staff we encountered were polite and accommodating. I dream of coming back.

I can say it is beautiful there. The villas are Nice. And very calme.but there is something I would like To mention. The villas owner do not respect the haitians immigrants. They come here work hard to build your beautiful villa and you do not respect thAt. I CAN UNDERSTAND you are rich but do not forget they are humans like you. Everything you own they can own them too. I now people will ignore my feedback. But it is true what am saying. Thank you. Journalist

😠 I had the worst experience staying at this hotel with my wife. First we had horrible customer service, little attention, dirty. In our room there was no light in the bathroom, much noise due to the lounge bar that was next to the hotel. It was hard to sleep because the place was not safe. Unfort...

👍👍 Excellent customer service for Giovanni. The whole staff in fact was gracious & hospitable. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was great. Good for the value. Didn't like the area but that's not the hotel's fault. Thanks Giovanni!!!!
