A really great experience ... despite the advanced age. If you have kids, you are around and have an off-road vehicle ... you have to go there. Half of the entrance fee goes to a non-profit dental practice and half of the maintenance of the monkey enclosure. A great thing. The first (little) monkeys are completely trusting, just look at the pictures. The second (larger) monkeys are in a locked enclosure, because they come from seberal poor animal husbandry and cannot be trusted. Unfortunately, the two initiators of the Park were killed in a plane crash in 2016. We should support the non-profit organization.

Me and my friend went to Dominican Republic for our birthday. We had a rental car and drove to Monkey Jungle. There was no wait there team move fast. Monkey Jungle was one of the places we visited and I was super excited and had so much fun. The team of skilled workers are phenomenal. They were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable & fun. They ensure we had the best time ever 🥰. The monkey encounter was my favorite. You know how you go some places and they limit the time you can play with the monkey this place doesn’t, they allow you to just enjoy the encounter 🤗. Than we went zip lining after we played with the monkeys and after zip lining I was allow to go back and play with the monkeys omg I was so excited. This excitement made my birthday trip one for the books. The Monkey Jungle also give back to the community with free dental & health care needs because of the donations we give to them by soliciting their business. So not only do you have fun but a percentage of the tickets sells go back into helping the Dominic Republic community. It’s a win win for everyone. I will visit again. Thanks again to the wonderful staff for allowing me & my friend to have an amazing birthday experience.

Everything was a 5 star except one thing. The zipline was fun, and was the first time the 5year olds were able to participate because they allow younger kids to ride with a guide (8&under suggested). The monkeys were fun if you don't mind little creatures with claws/nails on your head. It was a novelty, and the kids especially loved it! They seem free to come & leave , just come for the food (seeds on your head, cantaloupe on a plate). The mission seems good, apparently funding free healthcare clinics for the needy. BUT...I can't give 5 stars when I see caged animals for no apparent reason. Macaws (feathers somewhat plucked) and capuchin monkeys (with guide picking fight with him through the cage)... can't believe it's rescue with multiple generations caged...

Didn't do the monkey tour did the zip line instead. I've zip lined b4, but this experience & view were by far the best. The guides were friendly, fun & took great pics/videos with our phone. We all had a nice cold beer afterward. It's definitely worth it.

We have 5 stars for our experience at Monkey Jungle. Our four adult children zip-lined (most for the first time). Jose was amazing and funny and showed them a super fun time. They loved it! Next we all went into see and feed the monkeys and it was something we will never forget! Our tour guide was Joel and he was informative and fun! Highly recommend.

My wife, and I visited with our child and mother in law thinking there was activities for grown and small. At arrival we were told children under 3 weren't allowed near the monkey as a health precaution. We understood and skipped the monkey tour and two of us did the zip line adventure. The zip line was a lot of fun. Beware there's a lot of walking involved so plan for a bit of a workout. While my wife and toddler waited for us the monkeys jumped the fence and all involved had a close encounter. So at the end everyone got to enjoy themselves!

Just simply an amazing experience and all for a very good cause that supports the local population health and wellness. The monkeys are so flipping cute and curious. Makes you want to stuff one in your pocket to bring home (terrible idea, don't try) lol. Go early as the monkeys will be more active then.

If you like animals and want to give something back to the local community then you can't beet this place. Sterling or as he's known there "Monkey Dad" is the best guide. He's been there for 11 yrs and all the monkeys love him!

One of a kind experience for a great cause! Just the nicest people running it and doing what they can to help those in need. Seeing all the great monkeys and getting a jungle tour was just a bonus. The road getting up is a bit rough but totally passable without 4WD, even in a min-van. Just go when it's more dry than wet, but don't miss it!

Great visit, both the time with the monkeys and zip line were great. Briefings can be in Spanish or English. The last 4 km of the road are a little rough but passable

I just LOVED the zip line experience!! Our tour guide was amazing, well prepared and funny. They take all necessary security measures for the guest safety. The most challenging part for me was the free jump to the cave, but I DID IT 😊

Had an unforgettable experience at the Monkey Jungle in the Dominican Republic. Despite it being a slow day, my wife and I had an amazing time. I had an incredible time with the squirrel monkeys. That was so much more than I could have hoped for. I also did the zip line and it was a blast. The surprise was cool too. Evin and Starling were to notch guides on the zip!

Love the mission and story of this place. Animals rescued from exotic animal trade support local free medical and dental clinics! A great experience.

Awesome zip line and monkey tour! The adventure starts at the road but worth the drive. Tour guides were really cool. Bring a little extra to tip them, they earned it. The monkeys are too cute!!!

It is a monkey rescue place, where half of the money goes to local community and the dentristry. Monkey were great, we spend around 1 hour there, we did not do the zip lines.

very nice and it's a non profit business... we rented buggies fron one buggy in anvhee resort to go to monkey jungle which was another great experience before monkey jungle. the riad to go to monkey jungle is really stony.. my wife loved both experiences.

The owner is super nice. The staff is fantastic. I recommend to wear older clothes and a cap for monkey jungle. Monkey are cute but tend to pee everywhere 😅. Zip lines are fun. It's a wonderful adventure for everybody. If someone doesn't feel comfortable on the zip line one an employee takes a ride with the person.

Amazing place to zip line and play with some monkeys. Super friendly staff. Charity organization that has a great story and does great work for the animals that they care for. Best excursion of our trip.

My 6 yo daughter loved it. It was a little pricey for what it is but it was still cool and worth the visit. Allocate about 2-2.5 hours once you arrive. It’s a bit of a haul on a dirt road to get there but always pretty in the jungle.

We had an awesome time at Monkey Jungle DR ! We were on a Carnival Cruise and took a local taxi from the port to go see the monkeys at Monkey Jungle. The staff was helpful and the monkeys were cute and hilarious! We fed them pineapple and they tried to steal our glasses and actually got their hands on one woman’s phone…Highly recommend 10/10

Last three miles in are a rough dirt road. But the facilities are good and the monkeys crawl all over you. The zip lines were fun too.

In February 2023, we had the pleasure of visiting the monkey sanctuary, and we highly recommend it. The squirrel monkeys are not only incredibly adorable but also well cared for. What makes this experience even more meaningful is knowing that the income from the sanctuary supports the local community through initiatives like providing dental care for the locals. If you have the opportunity, we also suggest trying the exhilarating zip line adventure. It's an all-around fantastic experience that contributes to a great cause. - Alexandra & Nico

There are 7 zip lines and the guides were amazing , Rob greeted us and was so nice and helpful and it was very well organized . It is a non-profit organization and The money they get is donated and given back to feed local people and they also give free dental work for them which is amazing. This place was by far one of the best excursions I’ve done while traveling the world. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide was funny and very reassuring. He made us al feel comfortable and some he slowly eased the experience in for them so they felt secure with the monkeys. I was very thrilled to see several monkeys immediately and thoroughly enjoyed my time playing with the monkeys, taking photos and feeding them. The location is extremely beautiful and picturesque. I’ve been to this region amongst serval others several times over the years and this was my first time seeing the mountains in this area like this. I would highly recommend EVERYONE going to Sosua to come visit this place and experience the views, zip lining and Monkeys. This is a Must when visiting Sosua or Puerto Plata!! Thank you again for the great experience!!

The monkies are super cute and the tour guide was very helpful. The staff is very friendly and they are functioning as a monkey shelter and also organising free medical service for the local people. So go and visit the Monkey Jungle, it's a very good experience and you will also support them!

7 zip lines, 2 bridges, a little hiking, not much. Staff is very safety conscious. Had a great time. Surprise at the end...

Monkey Jungle is a "must do" for anyone visiting the area! The Zip Line and Monkey sanctuary were started to fund a charity which provides medical and dental care to Dominican people. The price is good ($70 US for both the zip line and feeding the monkeys), it's LOTS of fun and supports a very worthwhile cause!
