Good place to go for food or just a day to relax, do not trust these people with any events at this place scam, scam, scam. Again do not book any events at this place. The owner and the coordinador are very good selling empty promises and false hopes. Also do not stay at the hotel, the rooms look like the sewer system, no towels, soap, shades, toothpaste, some rooms don’t even have working ACs. You are better of staying in your car for the night. Again do not book any events here, not even a birthday party. The owner seems to have a reply for everything which has nothing do with the actual topic. If you book an event with them they change your price up to 30 days of the event. No set prices, just don’t Waste your time.

We had an ok time going there. I think the location looked nice but at times we felt as though staff was not interested in tending to our needs. There were 5 irons in the whole hotel (supposedly). No ice machines. This place has onsite clubs that are popular for local communities, so maybe that is a bigger priority, idk. For international travelers, I think the location looks nice try and make sure you’re in the buildings near the lobby/entrance (members who were in the back buildings didn’t have hot water)

A little bit outside the town of Bonao, the hotel is located in a fantastic nature surrounding with rivers and mountains. They do have some awesome birds there...the hotel is secure and the stuff friendly... a bit pricy but well worth a visit

we couldn't sleep a lot of noise we couldn't sleep. we complained, and they didn't care. the food wasn't good 😒

Even though reception took a little bit long, it was a good experience. The pools were fun and I got to see a real guacamayos. My room was also nice and the beds were comfortable, just a bit small. The weather was not so great at the time but it was a great resort to go to.

It is with a great pleasure I give the best review to Rancho Guacamayo. I've been staying at El Rancho (is what I call it 😊) every other month this year; when I visit my boyfriend and his family, in Bonao. The service is beyond amazing, the cleanliness is on point, just how I like it. I was just there Nov 10th. I hope they have availability for end of December. My boyfriend and I look forward to waking up at El Rancho on New Years day. Thank you for your hospitality may God continue to bless your business and your beautiful family, your hard work does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated. The place is ok, the food is good enough and the staff is friendly. My main problem is their lack of coordination for doing things that normally happens in the cheapest hotel around here, things like room service everyday, changing towels or bed cloth; you have to ASK them to do it. They are notouriosly slow to serve food too, in average, you have to wait at least 30 minutes from the time you ask for food to the moment you actually see it served. Overall, good place, friendly staff and a good place to spend a long weekend with family and friends.

Stay away from this place especially if you’re American. You will get harassed by the local police. I left early because I did not feel safe. Hotel refused to give my money back for the days I did not stay!!!

Do waste your money here. This place is hard to find even when using a GPS. This place is beautiful. However, the administration had set up to destroy it. Food is not included. If you rent a room you are presented with a menu and if you paid for a day pass there is another menu. You cannon order from the other menu even if you offer to pay extra for they "suddenly run out of everything in it" The food they advertise in the website is "not available." In addition, coffee and desserts are only available to some customers even if you offer to pay extra for it. Portions are very small and poor of those who have children that still hungry. They will be told that "your children already ate." The pools are dirty so much that you cannot see the bottom and they have glass in it. Both of my kids got cuts in their feet. Do not go there. It is better to pay for a resort in Punta Cana or Cap Cana.

Highly recommend for travelers interested in mountain tourism.

Hidden gem in Bonao. Came with the in-laws. Spent the day in the beautiful garden and then in the pool. The food for dinner was super delicious and the staff was super nice 💖. Great time here!!

Worst maintenance I have seen in a long time. Front desk employees are definitely not friendly. The green areas are nice. It is a shame because it has potential, but at the moment I would not recommend the place. The restaurant service is not as expected from a hotel. Difference between the food ordered and what you receive id shameful. The room has safety issues with exposed power wires. The bathroom you will have the choice to boil or freeze. Needs work and maintenance!!!

I came here to eat with family and friends, but I can't imagine as a hotel guest you could have a restful time here. The music was so loud and had a DJ playing kid's music for a couple birthday parties, the grounds are beautiful and it was potential to be a a zen place to visit and enjoy, it could even be romantic if they decided to go with smoth low music and lighting.

If you are planning to go to the north of Dominican Republic, this is a very excellent place to visit with your family and children. It has typical food but fairly prices, swimming pool, few exotic animals and playground for children. The only negative point is that is quite far from the main avenue but you can enjoy the view and the green environment.

Excellent place to stay if you want to see where the locals go for vacation. Americans beware, just as many European places, there is an electricity key card that turns electric on and off as you enter and leave. It takes a while for window AC to cool room down in August. Beautiful mountain scenery. Fine Dominican food. Locally grown coffee is fantastic. Fresh local citric juice. Local driving is terrifying, as local view rules and regulations as suggestions and do not abide by any. People and staff are very friendly but not many speak ANY English, so get used to translator app or make friends with someone bilingual. Still, I enjoyed this stop more then the usual tourist traps like Punta Cana or Puerto Plata. 5 stars if you do not care about soap, shampoo and electricity card. If you are flexible and enjoy authentic cultural experiences, this will be your favorite vacation.

The staff is very nice. We enjoyed their breakfast but didn't have an opportunity to try their lunch and dinner. The property is well maintained. The rooms were clean but had to request towels because there weren't any in the room. The rooms are a little small. But overall it was a pleasant stay.
