The Academy of Sciences in the Dominican Republic is located in an emblematic place, La Zona Colonial, right in front of the Ozama Fortress and this is neurogenial because it allows us to feed intellect, sight and culture. Living science. It is ideal for a book launch, a scientific meeting or the launch of something important. It takes you right there, to the beginning of scientific rigor.

Academie de Ciencias de la Republica [Republic Science Academy] is housed in a building constructed between 1512 and 1518. According to a sign on the outside wall of the building, the academy was founded in 1974 and moved into the building in 1975. The latest restoration occurred in 1978 as a collaboration between restorationists, archeologiests, and historians. A second excavation conducted in 1999 yielded information about prehispanic civilations on Hispanola.

The Academy of Science of the Dominican Republic, located at 112 Las Damas Street, in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo, outside of the conferences that are given periodically, as well as activities of other institutions, does not seem to have much notoriety in relation to the science, nor does relevant information appear on the Internet.

An institution worth seeing. Highly recommended when visiting the city. Not only an amazing historical background that you can marvel at in the inner courtyard. There are also many cultural impressions that tempt you to take photos. There is no entry fee.

A very small group of people called by its anthem Quisqueyanos are absolutely responsible of recupe , maintain and promote THE TRUTH of such great city THE FIRST CITY IN ALL AMERICA. now called THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC HOME OF THE QUISQUEYANOS.

(Translated by Google) Being in the house of knowledge, where brilliant minds make synergy, is a pleasant feeling. Important to know the anonymous heroes who build a country. (Original) Estar en la casa del conocimiento, donde las mentes brillantes hacen sinergia, es una sensación agradable. Importante conocer a los héroes anónimos que construyen país.

(Translated by Google) I loved it, with the details typical of the Colonial Zone and a tremendous dissertation by the internationalist Ivan Gaton. (Original) Me encantó, con los detalles propios de la Zona Colonial y una tremenda disertación del internacionalista Ivan Gaton.

The discordant note was an electrical interruption in the middle of the doctoral student's thesis presentation.
