Finally I was able to take the tour of the rooms of the Porcelain Museum! A beautiful museum, dedicated to sublime works of utilitarian and decorative art! It is a building with a Hispanic Moorish architectural style that is located in the colonial area next to the Peña Defilló museum and close to luxury boutique hotels and outdoor cafes! A very nice and quiet area to walk and have a good Dominican coffee! The porcelain pieces are organized according to their country of origin along a route that borders an Andalusian-style reflecting pool, therefore, you can enjoy both the building and the exhibition of the ceramics. The museum has guides who, with knowledge and at no cost, can guide or assist the visit. A lovely experience!

"The Porcelain Museum". Located in the Colonial Zone, in a beautiful house almost 100 years old, in the Mudejar style. It has 9 spaces or galleries that exhibit pieces from many countries, which exemplify the evolution of the art of ceramics and porcelain. In almost 6 years of living in the Dominican Republic, I did not know of its existence and I am sure that many foreigners and Dominicans did not either. In my case, it managed to sensitize me, appreciate and see with different eyes many pieces that perhaps go unnoticed and even forgotten in our grandparents' houses!

Excellent place to learn about porcelain and its beauties from other countries. And mainly, the beginning of all porcelain in China. Visit this magnificent place. Students pay 50 if they bring the ID and 100 pesos for adults. From Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.

What a beautiful experience to know the legacy of Mrs. Violeta, from the hand of Margarita, a very kind and capable person. He showed me the pieces from the 9 galleries that make up the museum, telling their history, what countries and eras they come from... The house and its architecture is also beautiful.

The only porcelain museum in Latin America exhibits various pieces of porcelain that were donated by Violeta MartĂnez, the museum's founder. In its 10 galleries, there are examples of ceramic art from different periods and various countries, including valuable porcelain works from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, England, China and the United States.

I love this vintage style! You arrived at the place where history is told in the details engraved in porcelain, where the hands of artists left their mark on the world.

Nice small museum with some great porcelain work from the founder who put her life into it. It is located in the colonial area surrounded by shopping and a pedestrian mall. The museum has a beautiful center mall area with a fountain and the paint contrast makes for some great pictures. I'd recommend, it's a quick trip and there's lots of cultural treasures in a family run environment. The building is also beautiful, they're hard to maintain and require a lot of money for upkeep but they are doing their best.

I had the opportunity to tour the museum with the guide who, with great dedication and kindness, enthusiastically detailed each of the rooms. The architecture of the place is very well preserved; Perhaps the experience would be more pleasant with the rooms better lit and the pieces' sheets better laid out.
