A small gem in Bonn for different cocktails

Absolutely great drinks, service and atmosphere- but the absence of a printed drinks menu really doesn't suit this place. There's purified fancy ice cubes but only a flimsy small printed QR code for the menu ???

Wenn wir in einer Stadt zu Besuch sind, versuchen wir mindestens einmal in eine „richtige“ Bar zu gehen. Bei diesem Besuch in Bonn fiel die Wahl auf das The Old Jacob. Wir fanden ein tolles Ambiente mit sehr netten Team. Die Karte ist überschaubar, weiß aber zu überzeugen und bietet auch interessante Signature-Drinks. Wir waren sehr begeistert und planen wieder zu kommen.

Super Service! Hier kommt man sich auch mal etwas Zeit und berät Unentschlossene bei der Cocktailwahl. Die Cocktailauswahl ist kreativ und abwechslungsreich, man kann aber auch Klassiker bekommen wenn man keine Lust auf abgedrehtes Zeug hat.

Ich bin immer super zufrieden hier. Wir waren zu 6. Hier und hatten auch einen Tisch reserviert. Obwohl bei der Tischvergabe etwas schief gelaufen war, wurde dies professionell und super freundlich geregelt. Danke für den super Service ! Drinks sind immer lecker und wir hatten einen rundum schönen Abend.

Haben Besitzer/Barkeeper gewechselt? Die Drinks sind völlig überteuert und schmecken nicht gut. Wir waren zu viert dort und kennen teure Cocktails. Die hier haben nach jeweils einer einzigen und dazu billigen Zutat geschmeckt. Überhaupt kein Geschmackerlebnis. Dazu lange gewartet und sehr zugig und ungemütlich. Nicht zu empfehlen, gehen wir nicht mehr hin.

Kleine Bar in angenehmer Atmosphäre und gepflegten Getränken und Cocktails. Sehr zu empfehlen für einen schönen Abend zu zweit oder mit Freunden.

Wir waren eine 6er Gruppe mit 2 Senioren und einer Schwangeren und wurden an einen kleinen hockergroßen Tisch in einer Ecke gebeten. Dort saßen wir fast schon aufeinander auf unbequemen ungepolsterten Holzplanken und mini Hockern die für Kinder gedacht schienen. Ein paar Meter weiter wäre eine gepolsterte Bank gewesen, diese wurde uns trotz der Gruppenkonstellation leider nicht angeboten. Der Service war ansonsten nett. Die Cocktails waren an sich gut gemischt, für ca. 12-13€ erwarteten wir hier unserer Meinung nach ein paar Früchte als Deko. Leider gab es weder Snacks noch eine physische Karte.

Außergewöhnliches Schmuckstück in der Bonner Barwelt. Der Eindruck von der Straße lässt nicht im Ansatz vermuten, was sich einem hinter der Tür für eine Welt öffnet. Dunkel und etwas verrucht vom Interieur fühlt man sich in goldene alte Zeiten zurückversetzt. Neben Klassikern sind zahlreiche neue Kreationen an Cocktails zu finden, zu denen das Personal ausgesprochen gerne und gut berät. Selbst die Erstellung der Cocktails wird mit viel Akribie und Leidenschaft vollzogen, dass es eine Freude ist dabei zuzusehen.

Delicious cocktails, I take one star out because it's not very comfortable inside, the stools are hard and no back rest, I like to get in the bar and rest, but that was not it. Although I really recommend to get in for a drink or two

Cocktails are good but CASH ONLY?! Seriously?! In 2023?!

"Oslopolitan" was very delicious. However, "work the clock" was somewhat disappointing.

Slow service (45 minutes for drinks). No good vibes. Did not help that we were seated right where people had to pass through to get to the restroom. Drinks were good. Creative mixes, would have loved to try more but...

great experience. it's small and you have to know the address. then, ring, and hope they'll open (don't worry, they always open the door). and you enter a real cocktail bar, an old men's club. a complete menu full of cocktails, and also the 9ne of the evening and the seasonal one. for all tastes, from dry to soft, spicy and sweet. just ask, and the bartenders will help you. a great moment, in this chilling club, bar, place. great music, smooth light..... one of my memorable moment in Bonn

What a great experience! After visiting many bars around the world I need to say this this one is one of my favorites if not my favorite. Great modern cocktails, great staff and an awesome location. They can serve you any classic cocktail you can think of but at the same time they will impress you with their creativity.

Select place for cocktails in Bonn. We enjoyed the mix and amount of alcohol. Prices higher than the average, but worth it. Would recommend to give it a go. Nice quick service as well!

We cane here in December 2018. We were here for the Christmas markets abd wanted to find a hidden gem. The cocktails are out of this world!! Well worth a visit. And I would advise getting there early as its quite small so we got there for opening time or we might not of got in! Gorgeous cocktails, knowledgeable staff and passionate about cocktails!!

Extremely competent staff, cozy atmosphere and good quality. It's a bit on the expensive side, but it is worth the premium if you want to drink proper cocktails in a city lacking cocktail culture.
