I booked a table for 15 work colleagues. The restaurant told us to let them know the final number of guests 48hours ahead of the reservation to avoid a €30 per person no show fee. I was in constant contact with them to ensure we had exact numbers. The last mail I sent was for 12 people, but unfortunately someone had an accident on the ice and couldn’t make it on the night. When explaining this I was met with zero empathic understanding, and they insisted we pay the €30. There were 11 of us eating there, and the company frequently sends customers and employees to the restaurant. However, after this experience we will think twice. I definitely won’t be going back, and will not be recommending it again. A little bit of flexibility and “Menschlichkeit” goes a long way. Perhaps the staff could try it in the future.

High quality food, drinks and service. Have enjoyed a number of meals here. Slightly more expensive than many restaurant options but the value for money matches the prices well.

Very good food and very good service Cozy environment

Really enjoy this place and going for years now there for dinner when I am in Bonn. I always enjoy the different varieties of food. This restaurant always has nice surprise specials in their regulary changing Menue. The wine menue is not huge but has the perfect selection of good wines. The owner and his team taking really good care of you. You can't go wrong with this restaurant. Prices are definitely fair.

Very good food but the service wasn't nice

Mathieu's is Bonn safe bet for a great dinner or a wonderful lunch menu. The only problem is that it can be a bit unimaginative sometimes but otherwise, it has an unbeatable price-quality relationship.

Wow. That was good. What a beautiful, cozy atmosphere. We ordered one special and two items off the menu. All were superb. (Yes I did try them all!) The Chef has a creative flair. What a very nice find.

Slightly more pricey than most restaurants in Bonn, but worth the money. The lunch menu specially has a very reasonable quality/price ratio. And the restaurant is quite beautiful (sit in the terrace if you can).
