Arrived at 11 am, and after having given in all our paperwork we used the app and started our tour. Lots of very interesting facts about Beethoven. The audio guide was excellent and easy to use. Headphones are recommended so not to disturb others around you. The layout of the house and its pieces were also very good. Highly recommended the visit and then off to the shop opposite. Two extra points. To speed up the process of entry. Fill out the Covid form before you leave. Also the house wasn't so busy so buying tickets at the shop were €1cheaper than online.

One of the iconic place in Bonn. This place is really good for those who are Beethoven fan or are musician. This place is all about Ludwig Beethoven's life. Inside the house there are paintings right on the ground floor many iconic original paintings. There is his book in which he created manuscript for his masterpiece music. Music instruments violin and piano. Letters, certificates and sculptures. Many manuscript of his music are displayed. One room is available where you can here his iconic music through headphones and very comfortable seating arrangement is provided thereby. Total of 3 floors in house. There is one garden and on the right there are 2 rooms one is music room and other is treasury. In treasury you will find some more Music manuscripts and a monitor which displays some detailed information on it. Taking pictures inside the house is prohibited. The ticket can be purchased right opposite to the house where a locker is available for storing your personal belongings. The shop contains many interesting things to sell.

Visiting Beethoven's house in Bonn has been a lifelong dream of mine, and it certainly did not disappoint. As a classical music lover, getting to walk the same halls where one of history's greatest composers once lived and worked was an incredible experience. The house itself is beautiful, with its classic 18th century architecture and the lush gardens surrounding it. Inside, I was amazed to see Beethoven's actual pianos, original scores, and other artifacts that gave me a glimpse into his creative genius. Though he went deaf later in life, standing in that house you could almost hear the music in the air. Getting to see where Beethoven was born and spent his formative years left me inspired and in awe of his lasting legacy. This visit is one I will cherish forever.

Very nice place to visit. Well organized and informative. You will find a variety of Beethoven’s belongings as well as paintings and his music books and instruments. Loved it! Sadly no photos allowed inside the house.

Visiting the house of the most famous Bonn citizen was great but left me with mixed feelings. Getting to the house was quite easy, Bonn city has done a very good job on this, as signs can be followed from all around the city. You have to buy tickets in the museum shop located on the opposite side of the street, however this is apparently not a well known fact as many visitors go straight to the house entrance. Backpacks are not allowed inside (you can lock in in the basement of the museum shop free of charge, only deposit needed) and photography is forbidden inside the house, however no reason was provided when asked why. Audio guide in 6 different languages was available in the store or via a downloadable audio app on the phone (don't forget headphones). The house itself was relatively small, compact, easy to navigate through and beautifully maintained. All important items (paintings, notes, musical instruments, letters) and memorabilia were displayed (however not all of them were original and did not add much to the authenticity of the experience) and through them you get to learn a lot about the composer's life. I feel it could be better organized as I didn't quite catch some of the milestones in Beethoven's life. I was a bit disappointed with the audio guide - the explanations were rather long (most of them were 2 to 4 minutes long) and maybe too detailed to the point it stopped being interesting to me (for example looking at one small medallion and listening to nearly 3 minute explanations seemed a bit much). On a positive note - some of the explanations were accompanied by Beethoven music. Honestly I was personally happier with the written notes located in each room. There is a possibility to visit a very tiny garden and take a picture of the house from there. The museum store offers many interesting items to buy - from books and CD's to cups, postcards and music boxes - and the staff was very nice and friendly. Toilets were located in the basement next to the locker room. The 10 EUR price tag as entry fee is on the higher spectrum of the museum's entrance fees but I guess it's adequate to the experience. My experience was generally good, but details matter and there are a couple of them to be improved in my opinion. Visited in July 2022.

Super exciting and unbelievable experience to be visiting where Beethoven used to live and walk in his shoes. Tip is to download the app and enjoy the stories and music. Recommended for music lovers and suitable for families, couples, and solo

Excellent experience, the house where a legend was born. It's very well kept, everything, every object has an explanation (historical note if you will). You can also download an app which plays the music specific to the instrument Beethoven used. You aren't allowed to take photos inside the house but there is a garden where you can click few photos. A must visit for everyone. (For students the rates are a bit lower)

Beethoven's face is absolutely everywhere in Bonn, Germany. The house where he grew up is on a charming street in the city centre. Doesn't get too busy at the moment (2022- maybe because people are not travelling that much at the moment due to Covid?). Purchase tickets and memorabilia on the other side of the road. Closes around 5 p.m.

Neat and historical place to visit and explore, with many artefacts and pieces of personal history that celebrate Beethoven and his life. The shop is just across the road where you can buy walk-in tickets to the main house and museum. In it, you’ll find many of Beethoven’s personal belongings, music and instruments - including his last piano.

Small house filled with interesting tidbits on Beethoven including a unique statue made from a plaster mask while he was not very old, the string quartet instruments he was gifted, items from his daily life, facsimile scores, ear trumpets, and info on his friends, patrons, and acquaintances. I recommend doing the audio tour as it will add quite a bit of context and information to the experience. Perhaps too much. If one were to listen to every entry in the guide you'd likely be there for several hours.

There is an APP that can be downloaded and used for an audio guide in 6 languages. Pretty good to know the history of this great musician.

The Beethoven House is very good and well organized. The app is very educating and there is a lot of konwledge about Beethoven and his whole life. English subtitles are available. I also think that this house is better than Mozart House in Salzburg. Entrance price is 10 Euro ( February 2022)

You must have a negative covid test within 24 hours to enter but it is open! And you can get a covid test right down the street. They also have a map of places around the city for you to see (about a 15 minute walk with stops).

First of all I want to say that you should only visit this place if you are genuinely interested in the life of Beethoven. Don't seek out this place just cause you see it as some kind of milestone to achieve during your stay in Germany. Since if that's the case there is a high probability that you might be very disappointed. The ticket costs 10€ and can be bought in the building on the opposite side of the house of Beethoven. During Corona they didn't provide an audio guide headset, but you could download the app to have a good organized guide. The house offered 3 floors of interesting informations and things about Beethovens life and also his musical works. For not interested people this might seem like a little, which is the reason I warned you in the beginning. I recommend the room on the first floor where you can listen to some plays, which were composed by Beethoven in his younger years. Nice atmosphere and you could even imagine being there if you sat there with your eyes closed. I also recommend the room, which you can reach through the terrace. In this room the moonlight sonata was played. The unique thing though was that the originally written notes were shown on a Beamer. All in all a very nice place to visit during your stay in Bonn. Please just make sure that you are genuinely interested, since else you will probably think it's overpriced or that there are not many things to see inside.

They give u tablet with headphones or you can download app with all information and history. From outside it looks quite small but when you enter its a lot of space to explore! Really love it, enjoy the music while looking by the window in to the garden was my fav thing. All small details explained and much new things I found out! Totally worth it

Visiting Bonn without visiting the Beethoven-Haus is virtually impossible. This little museum is definitely worthwhile and not just for fans of Beethoven's music. It gives an interesting insight in life in the nineteenth century in Germany.

This was one of the main reason I travelled to Bonn. It was a nice medium sized museum full of Beethoven's personal letters, manuscripts, artifacts and instruments. What I found quite interesting was the correspondences detailing Beethoven's relationships. Download the app in the shop using their free wifi before entering the gallery so you can use the audio guide. Bring a good set of earphones (noise cancelling preferably) as its a small space and the creaky floors and many tours get quite loud over the audio guide.

Must see place if you come to Bonn. Entering fees are €12 but it’s worth the price.

A beautiful house and interesting artifacts of the son of Bonn. Here you feel like a part of his history: antique creaky floors, his personal belongings and musical instruments, rooms where you can listen to his masterpieces, a beautiful backyard, portraits and correspondence letters and much more. In my top 3 must-see places in Bonn.

I absolutely love visiting the Beethoven house when I'm in Bonn. I go every time I'm there! Everything is set up in a very comprehensive way and kept in very good condition. It's especially interesting when all floors are available to visit. The garden is also very cute to sit and take photos in. The staff are fantastic and always very friendly and helpful.

Cool place to check out if in Bonn. Some excellent historical items. The only reason it's 4 stars is because it's quite quick to go through as it's small. So, it won't be something to do to occupy a bunch of time.

Was my first time, i was a bit hesitated but quickly from the starting i get the positive vibe, the reception then the pianist and they way they have decorated with the candles. No regrets, and sure will go again and encourage my friends as well.

Visited it on a Saturday late afternoon, overall liked the place and was able to cover it in 75 mins. It's small with ground, first and second floor. The place offers you to see different potraits of Beethoven, some of his musical instruments, letters from his family and friends, and some hearing devices. To get more info about the exhibits you can download an app. The download did not work for me inside the Haus so I went to the ticket shop again to download it. Treasury area is only open from 11 till 14:00 or 15:00. Next to the Treasury you can go into the music room and relax there while listening to some of the famous compositions. You can buy the tickets from the ticket amd souvenir shop opposite to the house at a normal price for 12 euros and for students 7/7.5 euros.

Such a beautifully preserved piece of history. A must see if you're in Bonn! The house Beethoven was born in and so many interesting facts about him and his family. I would love to go again and spend more time as I was on a time constraint. Well worth it. It's closed on Tuesdays. Plan accordingly

I found popular photo of Beethoven and his musical instruments, and his background stories there. It was also touching to sit down, look out through the window to the backyard in a sunny day while listening to Beethoven‘s symphony for a while.

I have been in Bonn since last 2 years but didn't get the chance to visit the house of greatest musician ever. Last weekend, I went to see the place finally and was mesmerized by its beauty, the tranquil garden and aura of the place. It is absolutely must visit for music lovers, the soothing sound of nature's music take you to 1600s. Very well maintained and check for covid tests/vaccination. Masks are mandatory to visit all the time and crowded especially during weekends.

If you are interested in classic music and love Beethoven music I would highly recommend it. The lady staff who was there when we arrive was explained everything very well and when we met her later, we had a friendly chat also. Also the staff at music room also explained everything in detail. I have to give 5 stars for the staffs. It was overall a "feel good experience". I am glad that I visited this place while visiting Bonn. 🥰

THE must visit of the town. We visited the place more than 15y ago. The renovation made this place even better. Simplicity, discreet lighting with focus on the exhibits. Make sure you download the app (few languages available) and use it to listen to the audio guide per room. A pleasure to visit!
