The bridge offers the perfect spot to take pictures of Bonn's skyline with the river Rhine on the foreground. Easily accessible by foot or bicycle from the downtown area.

It's a scenic point nearby Beethovenhalle. The walkway beside the bridge offers an excellent view of the Rhine river and the sound of the flow of the Rhine is music for the ears. The place is suitable for joggers to have an evening run and also suitable for lovers to spend an evening.

On November 9th, 2021 we visited the city of Bonn. Our destination was, among other things, the Kennedy Bridge. There is enough space for pedestrians and cyclists on both sides. We went over once and then took a walk in Bonn Beuel. Afterwards we went back and looked at the old town. When the weather was sunny, Bonn was worth a trip.

After the renovation in 2010, the main inner-city connection between Bonn and Beuel was significantly improved. A third of the width is shared by trams, pedestrians/cyclists and cars. For tourists, the bridge offers a great view of the Rhine and the city up to the Siebengebirge. It is part of the usual jogging sessions in Bonn. On the Bonn side there is a counting point for the many cyclists. Solar panels on the south side symbolize that at least in 2000 the city administration was already aware of the issue of climate protection.

This bridge is a real experience because you have a wonderful view of the Rhine and the city. In addition, the traffic that crosses the bridge is fascinating because it is constantly busy. Buses and trams go back and forth non-stop and of course normal car traffic. But there are also a lot of cyclists, so as a pedestrian you have to be very careful not to cause an accident, especially if the cyclists are really going at speed on the descent.

It is certainly beautiful in the morning and offers a panoramic view in both north and south directions. It is probably one of the best places to visit in Bonn.

Great view of the Siebengebirge, short walk to downtown Bonn, it's a nice place to walk, take a warm sweater with you because it gets windy. Covid-19: Since there is enough space, you should wear a mask when passing by, but the risk of infection is marginal. Great view in the evening, especially from the Beuel side. Lighted lamps, as in the picture. Hope my post helps!

Strolling along the Rhine promenade when the weather is nice is probably a must when visiting Bonn. Especially towards the evening when the weather is nice, young and old gather here, sometimes quiet and relaxed, sometimes partying by the Rhine. The view of the bridge at night is a spectacle in itself and a popular attraction, especially for photographers. Great photo spot.

2 things are interesting about this bridge. 1st is the use of photovoltaic for the lighting of the bridge then 2nd is the view of the Rhine river.

This bridge is gigantic, unlike most other bridge this bridge can accommodate tram, cars pedestrians and bikers. It has allotted lanes for all. The view from up there is an experience. It's a candy to the eye.

One of three Rhine bridges in Bonn. Kennedybrücke is the connection to Beuel. Lovely views over the Rhine and Bonn skyline.

A bridge connecting Bonn and Beuel. You can walk across it by foot and get scenic views of the cities and Rhine river. Named after John F Kennedy, the great U.S. President.

Well this is just a bridge and you might think what is interesting about that. But I liked the idea that they used solar panels to produce electricity. I have also seen a machine that counts how many bicycles has crossed the bridge. How cool is that. One more thing is the nice view of the river and Bonn while crossing this bridge.

Completely stupidly rebuilt bridge. First, the bridge was massively widened with tax money, of which at least 1m was used for the foundations of the tram power supply and street lighting. Another meter was wasted separating the tram route from the car lanes. There is no separation between bicycle lanes and pedestrian paths. Pedestrians are slalomed around by cyclists and e-scooters, who use the pedestrian path as a right-hand passing lane. Conversely, pedestrians constantly walk around on the bike path. It happened as it had to happen: since the renovation there has only been one car lane in each direction and there is a constant traffic jam at peak times. The bridge was widened for NOTHING. The view is great (2 stars for that)...but that was it before the renovation.
