Der Ort ist interessant, aber zu ungemütlich. Ich habe im Zug übernachtet, wo die Zimmer für zwei Personen sind, aber man kann nicht zwei Personen gleichzeitig ertragen. Die Betten sind winzig und ich wurde mehr als zweimal geschlagen. Es hat auch schlecht gerochen. Ich würde nicht wieder hingehen.

Wie in einer Modelleisenbahnlandschaft fühlte ich mich. Was für eine wunderbare Idee. Wir schliefen im Schlafwagen. 😄 Schmal und kurz. Mein Kind und ich passten gut hinein. Mein Mann wäre zu groß gewesen. Super Atmosphäre in der Halle, nettes Personal und ein ganz gutes Frühstück auf der Empore. Toiletten und Duschen in Basisausstattung und sauber. Die Sauberkeit im Zugabteil war o.k.. Vom Basecamp aus kann man Bonn super entdecken., ob zu Fuß oder mit der Bahn. Beim nächsten Mal nehmen wir einen Wohnwagen.

I wanted to stay in Cologne but this was the closest place I could find with availability. I'm glad I found the place because it was nice to have some novelty compared to other hostels and the location gave me an opportunity to visit Bonn which wasn't originally on my itinerary. There's good value here compared to other hostels when you consider that the facility is well maintained and the price includes a free breakfast buffet (and also towels for the shower).

Sehr schön, tolle Atmosphäre, vor allem abends, wenn die Menschen vor ihren Wohnwagen sitzen. Gut geschlafen. Leiser als ich dachte in der Halle. Toiletten und Duschen tip top sauber. Frühstück reichhaltig. Um ein kleines Problem wurde sich direkt gekümmert Alle Ansprechpartner sehr nett. Gerne wieder.

Total überraschend. Egal, was man auf den Bildern sieht, der Eindruck ist nochmal was eigenes. Sehr detailreich, tolle Dekorationen und Ideen. Die Lage ist ok, in 5 Minuten Fußweg ist die S-Bahn zu erreichen. Die Matratzen könnten etwas dicker sein, aber bequem sind sie trotzdem. Etwas, das meiner Meinung nach den Laden etwas aufpeppen würde: ein Essensstand oder zumindest die Option, schnell mal was zu essen zu erwerben. Lediglich bei der Buchung über ein Reiseportal ist etwas schiefgelaufen, wo die gebuchten Zimmer nie beim Hostel angekommen sind.

Coole Location und grandioses Konzept. Man darf aber nicht mit der Erwartung anreisen hier Hotel-Qualitäten geboten zu bekommen. Als Hostel/Jugendherberge aber solide und in Ordnung. Das Ambiente, das Konzept und die vielfältigen anderen Gäste machen hier den Charme aus. Natürlich muss auch das freundliche und lockere Personal erwähnt werden. Für ein paar Tage eine gute Wahl! So empfehle ich das auch gerne weiter.

Guter Service und hohe Flexibilität während der jährlichen Firmenveranstaltung. Tolle Location um kreativ zu arbeiten.

Die Idee ist wirklich cool und hat dazu geführt, dass ich schon zwei Mal einen Versuch gewagt habe, aber es ist tatsächlich nicht wirklich eine Erholung. Da alle Wohnwagen in einer Halle stehen, ist es so hellhörig, dass man nachts kein Auge zumachen kann. Die Nachtruhe wird weder von den Gästen noch dem Personal eingehalten. Ich denke, dass nur große Gruppen wie JGAs hier ihren Spaß haben.

For me, the bed was a bit short (I’m 193cm, and it was a sleeping wagon). But the atmosphere is really great, breakfast is good! I’m really curious about the cabin lift! :)

Really cool concept, clean facilities and room. We accidentally booked in the train, which I do not recommend. It's way too small and doesn't have any blinds - so you're able to see right in. Next time we'll make sure to book a caravan instead. Staff was nice and it was a decent breakfast! Will definitely book here again if we're ever close by.

Nice place for a party. Plenty of good spaces to play and fun old cars to look at, not to mention good food and facilities.

It's a nice location. Realy like a Camp place but indoor. All old nostalgisch Camper, something different location. Bathroom like Real Camping. Breakfast was nice and we didnt miss anything. Staff was very friendly and helpfull.

Brilliant place to stay of you want something out of the ordinary , brilliantly quirkey. We all loved it, and will stay again.

A review from a couple staying in the new Canadian House outside (both 20yr old students): Base camp is a lovely place to stay. All of the caravans inside look super cool and I’d love to stay in one of them in the future. It is super different to any hostel but also a very nice atmosphere. There is places to hang out and shared bathrooms/showers inside, and a designated breakfast area upstairs that overlooks everything- it’s lovely to eat breakfast there. The breakfast is great. It has different options for milk, different cereals, bread, cheese, vegan butter and dairy butter, eggs (boiled), apple and orange juice and then some basic tea and coffee - however you can pay for some actual dispensed coffee and it’s quite cheap. They also (if you ask in advance) get gluten free bread! And on top of that it was delicious and they didn’t charge extra so they were lovely. Staff were always happy to help and this made it even better! They were super friendly and spoke very good English. We can’t thank you enough! We stayed in the Canadian house outside and it was lovely. A very small little home to live in for a few days that had its own toilet and shower. It was very well secured and we couldn’t hear any traffic despite being right next to the main road! Only issue is the hot water runs out so be careful washing dishes as the water goes freezing in the shower if you use it all up! Also, a few things were needed in there that would make it better such as tea towels, actual forks, knives and spoons and cutting knives for certain meals! They weren’t provided so we did the best with what we could and I’m sure if we asked they would have helped but we weren’t there for very long (so maybe something to add). Other then that we’d definitely stay there again and recommend it. It is also based about a 10 minute walk from the train station (which you can literally cross the road and follow the path down to it) and then 10 minutes to the tram which is on the path right outside if you follow it. This is super ideal to use the tram to go into Bonn and the train to go into Cologne (remember, don’t forget to validate your tickets!!) Lovely stay, would come again and stay in another accom to try it out!

I can highly recommend this place to stay! It's a wagon/van camping in a huge closed area, with no cold, no wind, no preparation, no noise, etc. 🤓 just choose the option you like and get in... one of my dreams was traveling in a wagon cabinet, so I stayed in a single-bed couchette 😅 not exactly same but so similar experience. Besides the nice atmosphere, the staffs are so kind, helpful and friendly! The only drawback is that toilets and baths are separate and shared.

Inspiring and fantasy teasing hippie styled space, prepare to wait 10-20 minutes at the railway pass on the way to the hostel and back. Very intensive train traffic!

Pretty conveniently located, just a few tram stops from Bonn center. The rooms are really tiny but very clean. Surprisingly good and varied breakfast, many vegan options.

I lived in Bonn for 6 years and somehow never learned about this hidden gem! I stayed in a vintage VW T2 and I couldn't have loved it more. Any negatives about this hostel can be directly attributed to the other residents and their inability to adhere to the rules set by the staff. As an English speaker, I felt very comfortable talking to the staff and asking any questions I had. The showers and toilets are shared but spotless. It was also great to start off each day with free breakfast, in which there were enough options to choose from for every diet. My train didn't leave for another 5 hours after their mandatory check out time and they allowed me to store my bag in their lockers and hang out in the common areas despite no longer being a paying customer. The customer service is phenomenal and I would suggest this place to anyone that is looking for a short stay in Bonn.

The unique way of accommodating guests in vintage campers, a train car, and buses scattered inside and around the location is so cool. There is a chill atmosphere. The staff is wonderful. They are multilingual. You can really unwind here.

Very nice and unique experience for stay. Retro caravans and train a great place for a short stay. Free parking on site and a decent breakfast. Staff and friendly and helpful. Common shower and other facilities but was convenient and clean. A nice courtyard and very interesting and unique ambience. Would surely recommend for a different and interesting experience.

I was here only for the Food Festival. Super Event, perfect location. One star off as most places accepted cash only. For a hype place like this, it's also super conservatively old-fashioned. We would have spent more money if we could have paid by card.

Very strange place! The location is not good. Breakfast is very good. I loved the decoration. There wasn't much atmosphere when I was there but maybe it was a dead time. Worth to try if you like extraordinary places :)

I just loved this place. As a solo traveler I would say this is a place you wouldn’t regret getting in. Get the unique experience. It’s very hard to describe the place unless you are in. So go for it.

It was actually quite cozy night at camp. I can not say, that I want to stay thereovernight each time I will be in Bonn. But from time to time it's very nice experience if you did miss that camp and adventure feeling😊🧭🏕️ #basecampbonn #bonn #hotel

Habe hier eine Übernachtung von meiner Familie geschenkt bekommen und es war richtig toll 😀 Sehr sauber, Personal alle voll lieb und freundlich.Ein besonders Dankeschön an Katrin ❤ Wir kommen auf jedenfall nochmal hier hin. Nur zu empfehlen, wer mal etwas besonders erleben möchte. Frühstück zwar Vegetarisch, aber sehr reichhaltig und lecker 😋 Lokale in unmittelbarer Nähe . Die Gäste bunt gemischt in allen Altersklassen....Es hat uns richtig Spaß gemacht. Nächster Besuch mit der ganzen Familie 😊
