One star is already rating too high! Do yourself a favour and do NOT book here. We booked a double room with them directly via email and specified that we wanted a double bed. Once arrived, the receptionist gave us a key to a dirty room, so we had to go back and wait for him to check a cleaned room. He gave us the keys to a twin-bed room and only after disagreeing at the reception, he gave us what we had booked. At the check out, an old lady who presented her as the “boss” charged us more money because she said that we had stayed in a more expensive room. She refused to speak English when requested and mentioned statements like “this is Germany so we speak German” or “this is my house and I do what I want”. She was very aggressive and threatened us to pay what she wanted by calling the police. Awful experience in a lame hotel where we also had to sleep without bed sheets (we realised at night and there was nobody at the reception) and that offered a very simple breakfast with products cooked the day before and tasteless. We will not come back here and suggest you to book somewhere else as this is definitely not worth a cent…

Highly recommended! Like many others, I found the breakfast fantastic, in terms of range (somewhat unusually for continental Europe, it includes English-style hot food) and quality. I haven't seen better in most of the 4 or even 5 star hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast room is spacious and the staff very welcoming. I managed to tip my organge juice all over the table but nobody made a fuss and the two highly absorbant linen table cloths saved both my trousers and shoes! My breakfast was made even better by being able to listen to eight 60+ Scandinavian (?) men having a really good laugh with one another. I have no clue what was being said but their deep tones and hearty laughter made me smile many times. I wonder what they were doing in Bonn over the weekend? My fouth floor room (number 22) was compact but had everything I wanted. All the fixtures and fittings felt like they had quality and everything was spotlessly clean. Three slightly unusual things: The shower and toilet were separate (which I like), there was a notebook-sized safe (not important for me but helpful for business travellers), and there were tea/coffee-making facilities (also not standard continental Europe). My room was not air-conditioned and I did need to keep the window open at night. There was a fan but I preferred fresh air, even at the expense of hearing a few revellers who seem to have had a small private party in the street outside. It should be borne in mind that this was a Saturday night and there was a major open-air gig in town that night - my reason for being in Bonn in the first place. For around Euro 100 a night, including that fantastic breakfast, I'd say this was one of, if not the, best value hotels I've ever stayed in. Once again, highly recommended!

The wifi isn't great, but other than that it is a splendid hotel. The breakfast was superb with loads of fresh options too choose from. Super helpful staff who even helped me find my next hotel for a good price.

Second time stay at this property. Friendly people. Very helpful. No problem when checking in late. Room is very clean, bathroom clean and quite big. Breakfast is nice. Comforting and nice hotel. Nearby the center of Bonn.

The room was good, nice bathroom, the pillows could have been better though. I liked the face that they provided a free bottle of water in the room! Breakfast was included and was okay, by 10 o clock a lot of food was already taken though.

On arrival the staff on the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are of a reasonable size with a good sized toilet. Our room came with some nice sweets and a bottle of water. The breakfast has a wide spread of choice (I was impressed to find that there was always a special juice like peach). The only problem is that parking outside is expensive costing around 1€. Although the hotel do offer to park your car around the back for 8€ a night. Apart from this the hotel is very good.

Nice cozy hotel. Very nice breakfast, friendly staff. Rooms are good, modest but modern and well-equipped (incl. tea making facilities), though ours had no AC. Floor is a little squeaky in some places. Beds are good. We slept well. Very close to center, 11 min walk from central station. Might be a little overpriced though.

When in Bonn, we always stay at the Deutsches Haus. The beds are comfortable, the rooms nice and cozy. The new offer of having snacks at the room (we had pizza and bruschetta) is an advantage for us. The personnel and owners helped me immediately when the zipper of my ballgown broke. For us it is very important to have the friendly, personal atmosphere, we are not just "a room number". The location is perfect, easy to get anywhere from the hotel into the town of Bonn.

Lovely hotel on a quiet street. Guest rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast room is large and light, with big windows, good coffee and a wonderful selection of cheese, bread, meat, fruit, yoghurt and hot breakfast.

It’s the fantastic service that makes the difference. The owner accommodated an extra request for me and made my late check-in, early check-out experience flawless.

REALLY GOOD value of money 👍 Nice staff, very good breakfast, clean and cozy room. 👌 I HIGHLY recommend the place. The quality of the breakfast given the price is very very good! Every day tropical fruits, nuts etc...
