The hotel is a bit old but not run down! It has its charm and in the dining room you have the feeling of having traveled back in time a little, which is absolutely ok in my opinion! The staff/employees are nice and friendly. The breakfast was good and the quantity was completely ok. Each guest (there were now two of us) gets their own basket of bread rolls and a plate of cold cuts (sausage, cheese). The room was ok, the furniture was a bit old, the bathroom was a bit small and the mattress was a bit soft, but it was completely ok for 2 nights. You can park right at the train station in the P+R parking lot, which is right next door. WiFi is free, but very slow. I took a measurement on my tablet and the speed was 0.3-2 Mbits. Overall we were satisfied and would stay there again. Price/performance fits… It’s clean too!

Simple, but great hotel. It charges fair prices, the rooms are tidy, but can not be considered as "modern" or new. Very friendly and competent service! The breakfast is beeing served, with a small buffet. Free wifi (good quality). It's very good connected to bus and train, and also offers a few parking spaces.

Excellent location near the S-bahn and tram station. 25 min from Center of Cologne. 4 tram stations from center of Bonn. Hotel is rather old and could use a bit of renovation. Breakfast is served per table. Perhaps a self service breakfast would be a better idea.

Well... you can look past the room doors (between the door and the frame). You can hear everything from the hallway. But there wasn't much going on either. As others have already written, “a bit outdated”. I was missing something fresh at breakfast. Each guest got their own plate with toppings for the bread roll.

The hotel was quite okay. WiFi was almost unusable. Room was clean but noisy. Especially if doors in the hallway were opened or closed. The toilet could use a renovation. The breakfast was good and sufficient. There was also a little more if needed. 😉 Attention: No buffet at breakfast! The staff was nice and helpful. Parking spaces are in front of and next to the house. But since they are not reserved for the hotel, I don't think they are sufficient.

A very old, unkempt looking hotel. Some rooms and hallways smell musty. The elevator is not for people with claustrophobia. Breakfast is standard and nothing special. If you are in Bonn for work, have a limited budget and just need a few hours of sleep - fine. If you want to visit Bonn and the surrounding area for a few days - a NoGo!

Unfortunately, the rooms are very outdated and were last modernized 20-30 years ago. The bed was very sagging and the TV only showed the public channels thanks to digital reception without a pay card. The bathroom was clean, the staff friendly. There are a few parking spaces in front of the door, but only with a parking disc for 2 hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. As a tip: You can park in the P+R parking lot next to it for one day for €2 and there is still a space available in the evening.

Nice hotel with old charm. Staff and service are very friendly and breakfast is personally brought to the table. Exceptional and the guest is still king. Time stood still in my room. The radio was still in the bedside table and you could buy a toothbrush at reception for 4 DM. Splendid. Everything was well maintained, but it was getting old and you could already hear the train line. I would be happy to do it again, although a renovation of the existing structure would also be great.

The staff is very friendly, the room is clean and there are still smoking rooms. But there were a few things wrong: the frame of the shower cubicle was falling apart, the slatted frame of the bed was missing slats, and one of the two coat hooks on the wall was torn off. Hot water was also a matter of luck. The shower constantly alternated between hot and cold. Since I didn't have much to do after a conference, I pushed the shower cubicle back together and fixed the slatted frame. But this should have been done before the staff moved in. The ancient radio and alarm clock didn't work at all and there were hardly any sockets. The train line was also quite loud, making it impossible to fall asleep with the window open. The television was puny, had hardly any channels and often only showed sound but no picture. Here you often had to switch back and forth until there was finally a sound so that you could at least hear the news. Then when we made the reservation we forgot to mention that a bed tax was due. All in all, the room was old-fashioned and not justified for the price. A room of this “quality” might have cost €79 in London, but not in Bonn. Therefore unfortunately only 2 stars.

The hotel is conveniently located. The tram stops just in front of it. I didn't find the inevitable trains passing by occasionally (rarely at night) to be a nuisance - despite the window being open. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is very good. All in all a highly recommended hotel at a very good price. Also impressive: the tips are used for social projects in the Third World.
