Breakfast should have more vegetarian dishes. OK for a day stay.

I stayed in the hotel for two nights. We were in town for a wedding, which also took place in the Hotel. I arrived after the check in closed, but we called ahead, and the staff were very helpful, leaving the room key in a PIN coded lockbox outside the front door. Therefore arrival was no problem. The location is great, right in the lively center of the town, with good access to restaurant's etc. When opening the room window, there was the nice sound of street life below. The room itself was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean, and a good size. I was able to have a restful night sleep here. The rest of the hotel has a shabby chic vibe, but is all very clean, and presented to a high standard. All the food server in the restaurant is totally plant based Vegan. Almost all if it is made from scratch in the kitchen, and is full of flavor, very tasty. I only had breakfast there, but I did not leave hungry. The food served after the wedding, canapes, were also really delicious! The restaurant team were also super friendly and helpful. All in all, highly recommended. Great Location, Good Food, Freindly Staff.

This is a nice and friendly hotel with very comfortable memory foam beds. A thing that stands out is the custom plant-based breakfast! I loved my stay there!

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Very friendly staff. Good sized clean rooms. Only complaint is the noise from the street below front rooms. Well into the late hours with noise again from around 7 with university students with ghetto blasters. Obviously not hotels fault but if you have children, I would advise a back bedroom. Still it was a very pleasant stay.

We were in the area for a wedding and Hotel Krone was one of the suggestions, It was perfect from the minute we drove up and the staff could not have been any more helpful or polite. I have to agree with other reviewers in saying that it is a good base for exploring. I really enjoyed the breakfasts and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Definitely looking forward to coming back, walking along the river and spending a bit longer than a weekend.

A pleasant surprise. Rooms are basic but clean and everything works, including the wifi, which is important for business trippers. The real asset of Krone is its restaurant Petit Lion, which really deserves its Bib Gourmand label from Michelin. The surprise menu is superb with unexpected combinations and then there is the wine. You can have a sip of the white Dragon, from the nearby Drachenfels and enjoy your meat with a French classic. Ask the chef for a recommendation, he's been around. Nothing missing at breakfast, the lady serving even asked if we had a preference for anything oven fresh from the nearby baker! Königswinter is energising its romantic Rhine tourism. The cog railway from 1882 heading for the Drachenfels was renovated. At the summit you have a magnificent view of the Rhine as well as a brand new panoramic café-restaurant. Next time I will book Krone, it will not be a coincidence.

Clean, welcoming and great breakfast

Amazing hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the owner was welcoming. He gave us a drink, chatted to us, and recommended restaurants. The room was lovely. Konigswinter was a surprise too and well worth a visit. Great Castle! Would stay here again without hesitation.

I booked the hotel for my parents so I don't have a first hand experience. But nevertheless I had to write a review! My parents loved the place, rooms, location and the breakfast. My special thanks go to Herrn Rosenbaum who went above and beyond to make sure my parents had a wonderful stay! Customer service you don't find in Germany very often. <3

Super nice location but the rooms are really tiny. The big rooms equal a normal hotel room size, the normal ones are more like a shoe box
