One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered in my life I’ve booked this hotel for my wife in advance through an external service, after which I contacted the hotel directly, who confirmed our reservation. Later, we’ve booked another night at this hotel thorough the same service. The external service had some mix-up with our reservation, so I contacted the hotel directly asking to keep the reservation in my name in case of cancellation from the service. The response the hotel chose was to COMPLETELY ignore me and avoid talking to me at all costs. Two days before the trip I contacted the hotel again, and they again confirmed that they had the reservation. And one day before the trip I had a weird gut feeling, so I once again asked them if they would keep the reservation under my name, to which they responded with “your reservation is cancelled and we are already fully booked” Once again, if I didn’t contact them one additional time one (!) day before the trip, my 6-months pregnant wife who would have spent an entire day to get to Konigswinter, would have been met with “nope, you don’t get to stay here” at 23:00 Considering this, I asked them if it was possible to cancel the last day reservation on their end because they knew she couldn’t make the trip. You can guess their response at this point - they completely ignored me again, which is logical on their part, since in this case they get free money without providing a service. Were they stalling in the first place in order for the reservation to become non-refundable? I don’t know What I do know is that they did all they could to make this the worst hotel experience I have ever had Thank you for the attention

The Storyhotel was maybe the best decision we made on our trip! We were looking for a cozy long-weekend couple getaway to enjoy some hiking trails and our first impulse was to get an AirBnB. Boy, were we happy we chose this instead! The room is beautiful, the atmosphere cozy, the staff super attentive, the breakfast delicious and plentiful and the price very competitive! Indeed both of us frequently said to each other how happy we were with this decision. If it wasn't clear enough already, I can only recommend this place!

This was a fantastic experience! The hotel was not just clean, it was spotless. The breakfast was really lovely and the staff were friendly and genuine. The location was great, walking distance of the train station and even closer to the start of the hike in the Draconfels. Can't wait to go back 😊👍

Great little historic hotel. The hotel is creatively decorated and cute. The rooms are clean and a bit small. Prices are fair. The staff were very friendly. The food is good. Cozy indoor restaurant seating area. Patio seating available. Good location. Parking nearby.

A lovely accomodation with great service. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. If you are a long sleeper than it can be a little bit loud, if the other guests go for breakfast, but I think it´s normal in a old building. We can recommend the hotel to other potential guests. It´s a nice place with a young team.

Beautiful and clean hotel! Breakfast was great and the staff was really helpful and nice. The restaurant, located below the hotel where breakfast is also served, is also highly recommended.

I really liked the couple who owned the hotel. The were nice and friendly and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The rooms were large and clean, but the hotel is old and you can't expect luxury. I liked the decor and it's a nice place situated very close to the main attractions.

Went here for dinner and had a delicious flamekuchen with goatcheese, honey, apple and a side salat. As dessert an incredibly tasty hot choco brownie with vanilla icecream. Would reconmend anyone to try their tasty dishes! The interior inside is very stylisch and clean. Toilets are clean as well. Everything here is done with care.
