👍 Admission free. SHKs on site friendly and hardworking! It's nice that this opportunity exists. Very interesting collection and the history of the collection. Unfortunately, you have to know what it is about, because often only the Latin names are available and also in older, squiggly font or small.... People often mention museum, free, collection,

Admission free. SHKs on site friendly and hardworking! It's nice that this opportunity exists. Very interesting collection and the history of the collection. Unfortunately, you have to know what it is about, because often only the Latin names are available and also in older, squiggly font or small. This needs to be worked on, but it seems like it is happening. You can see a lot of bones and teeth. But also plant impressions and impressions of petrified feces as well as stories about them (e.g. how the exhibits were created/acquired). It's a shame that a large part of it is closed and you can only take a small look at it. I have to say that I didn't ask if we could take another look at it. Still definitely watch it. The old display cases and rooms create a nice museum feeling. You can purchase a few dinosaur craft books or posters for children (cash!). Only partially recommended for wheelchair users, as much of it is higher up and I didn't see an elevator (stairs on the 1st floor). But maybe there is a hidden possibility? In any case, toilets are old-fashioned, narrow and not suitable for wheelchairs.

Definitely worth seeing! Small but fine collection of international fossils that systematically bring the geological past to life - part of the Institute for Geology and Paleontology at the University of Bonn. Admission is free. More explanations for laypeople about the exhibits would be nice - but the incredibly friendly staff (students?) took the time to clarify our questions too.

An exciting journey through prehistory... among other things, a T. rex skull is presented 🦖

Admission is free, which is why everyone has the opportunity to visit the exhibitions. Only 3 stars from me because the display cases are very impractical. Missing labels or empty stands do not provide knowledge. Some things were so far back or so high that you couldn't really see them, sometimes there was a large potted tree, a hand truck or a fan in front of them...Such careless sloppiness is a shame!

The small paleontological museum is an insider tip. Fifty years ago I studied in the immediate vicinity and didn't know it. Today I was there with two granddaughters. A complete success. Recommendation: Watch video clips of the museum on YouTube beforehand.

Our junior was really excited about the fossils. The little quiz called Paleo Parcours makes it even more interesting for little dinosaur fans to go to a museum for children. Our junior was thrilled and was still talking incessantly about the visit 3 days after the visit.

The museum will now (August 2023) be closed for renovations and it will be interesting to see what the new concept will be. The preparation so far has developed a limited fascination. At least it is interesting for children after primary school. The geological eras already know them today. It takes an adult to explain the many exhibits (it is a university collection for use in research and teaching).

Nice little university museum with free entry. Children particularly like anything that has to do with dinosaurs in the fossil collection, especially the T-Rex skull.

Very small, but interesting. Many fossils and information about evolution. Some information is outdated, but the entrance is free. Value for money is great.

A great and quiet museum. Admission is free with an amazing collection of fossils. Will definitely enlighten you about evolutionary biology and natural history.
