This is an important part of the history of the Second World War. The bridge that used to be here was destroyed by US forces. Apart from the historical significance, the place is located on a scenic part of the river Rhine bicycle path, just outside of the town of Ramagen. It is certainly worth a stop if you are passing by

Really enjoyed visiting the Bridge at Remagen in August 2020. The history here is fascinating and the true story about the bridge told in the Peace Museum is a real contrast to the Movie. The lady that greeted us at the museum was absolutely fantastic and a credit to the museum. She went above and beyond telling us the story and her passion was obvious. I was also especially grateful that she tried very hard to speak English for me - she was very humble but in fact her English was very good! Overall we really enjoyed the visit and if you’re in Remagen it’s well worth it!

A museum dedicated to the taking of Remagen Bridge by US troops in March 1945, the story is told in both English and German language, with many many pictures of the event. Remagen suffered badly during the last few months of the war, and the hardships of the residents is also described. This is called the Peace museum, and one room shows the staggering amount of conflict that has occurred around the world since 1945, the word peace seems to fall on deaf ears. I am glad I made the journey today. Can recommend

From the Avalon Vista....! A few of us History Crazies, signed up to be awaken at 0330hrs, in the Am, to get a glimpse of the remains of The Bridge at Remagen. The Capt. was kind enough to shine a light on it as the Vista slowly, somewhat solemnly to those of out there, slipped by. I enjoyed it...!!

Quaint little museum. Great if you are interested in the history of the bridge and the war.. Cash only. Lots of stairs as the museum is spread up and down the towers. Spent about 30-40 minutes going around.

Authentic memorial site for the strategic bridge, which the allies manages to keep open for a while and transport troops into Germany during the last months of WWII. Exhibits are unique. Worth to uo up all the floors above entrance level and have a view from the tower on the Rhine River.

The site of one of the top 5 military accomplishments by US Forces in WW2. The museum does a great job of spreading the displays throughout the expanse of the Western Bridge Towers. Displays include a mix of German Forces, American Forces and German Civilians. On display are weapons, tools photos and first hand accounts. Cost was 3 Euros.

The museum is set out thoughtfully, and in the remaining towers of the the railway bridge. This is now a peace memorial and is a credit to the local people.

If you’re a military history buff this is a nice spot to see how to incorporate past pain into a peace remembrance. One must not forget the past to build a better future. Just a bit of a walk from parking. Gorgeous outside views and experience even if you can’t go inside and walk up all the very many steps. Apparently there’s a ferry that runs during the week but not on Sunday. €3.50 per person to go in.

I think this is an important historical site for everyone to visit. Take the 20-30 minutes and pay to watch the video at the historical center to truly understand what happened. Gives a great military perspective from both the German and US sides. Try to visit both sides (what we did). You will find you can actually stand on parts of the bridge that existed during the war.

I visited the Peace Museum at Remagen. My Dad was there in March 1945 as part of the 94th Signal Battalion, 3rd Army. His unit put the first cable across the Rhine River. A major achievement. I really like that the Bridge was not rebuilt, but is a memorial to those who fought and died. It was moving to be in the place my Dad had been.

Well done museum (this review is for the Remagen side), 90% of the contents are described in both German and English. Five € to get in, in June 2023, there are stairs (some narrow) and exhibits up to the top of the bridge tower. About a 15 minute walk from the Remagen train station, 50% of walk is along the Rhein.

An important part of history. Not too much left to see there but still a thrill to be there, considering the movie archives available around that bridge.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it". Visit this museum, take your time to learn and understand the past. The whole building itself is an impressive reminder of human ingenuity. A bridge to connect communities on both sides of the river. It then sadly became a bridge to divide the world of ideological chasm. This museum for peace takes you through the journey of construction, divide and peace. It contains stories from both sides of the divide. You climb the stairs on both towers to witness the human divide. You just hope to see the end of conflict, alas, one of the top rooms reminds us, we have not learned our lesson, we keep forgetting our past. Visit this museum to remember and maybe, just maybe, change this pattern.
