This is not really a JCC. It is a dying relic of a once proud JCC as the physical building is decaying, while its current leadership is corrupt in the fashion of Eastern Europe or South America. Over 70% of its membership has left since 2005 due to various issues, including an accounting scandal and horrific treatment of gym employees by the leadership staff. I obtained feet fungus 10x over my 8 years at the JCC, while slipping several times in its watery locker rooms. If you are searching for a community gym stay away from this one.

This place is great! As guests using the facilities for a CCFA related function the Center has been most courteous, hospitable, welcoming, and professional in regards to the general operations of the Center in conjunction with an outside organization utilizing the facilities for an open event. Though not a member of a Jewish community personally, I would recommend this Center to anyone who is not yet familiar with the mission and services offered here.

The JCC is awesome! I started coming here because I wanted a good, affordable gym on Mercer Island. They do a wonderful job maintaining the place and have made nice changed since I joined. The locker rooms are clean - I went for the adult only and an happy with that upgrade. The staff are super nice and helpful. I see lots of events posted. Haven't been to one yet but what they have looks like an awesome selection.

The staff and leadership seem wise and kind. I was referred by a friend and enjoyed my time there. Certain people can be intrusive and dull to any social signals but I can have my moments too. I find it to be healing overall to exercise, chat a little, and enjoy the amenities.

The same week that some crazy person shot innocent people as they worshiped, we came to the JCC as visitors. We were so obviously new and uncomfortable, my husband walking with severe difficulty. Several strangers offered to help, the front desk was warm and accommodating and Susie at Rocksteady boxing was a jewel! We felt welcomed and embraced.

Staff seemed to be friendly enough and they have quite the large variety of offerings and activities. You don't have to be Jewish to go there. The facility is a bit older, but some of the equipment is newer.

The JCC, like all facilities of this nature, is in the process of recovering from the pandemic isolation which I think they handled very well. If you want to exercise on Mercer Island, this is the best deal in town for sure. I sign up mainly to use the exercise equipment which I find to be impressive. However, when not bogged down by a pandemic, they have a thriving arts and entertainment program, many different classes and several alternatives to keep you fit.

Great community center. Very friendly and helpful staffs. Dedicated to the education and physical fitness.
