OMG. The assam fish was out of this world and we couldn’t get enough of it. We already knew the beef rendang was good (repeat visit). Missus finished her rice! Which has not happened in ages. 1 assam fish set with 2 sides 1 drink 1 dessert plus ala carte beef rendang came up to $35.50 how can? Cheap and good is hard to find but here it is! Don’t get me started on the service. Auntie so friendly. I went to compliment the chef and she came out to thank us! What a great experience! Sorry only got photos of the aftermath 🤣

Ordered asam fish set with braised pork! Fish cut is slightly small and there’s only a few small pieces in the bowl… Love the chupchye that’s cooked to the right amount of softness required! Fried Tofu is soaked in minced pork sauce! Really like how soft the tofu is! Braised pork cut is great, and the gravy is not super oily to me! Good to have it with the blue pea rice! The set also comes with gula Melaka sago!

Waiting time took 20mins for the food to arrive. Order took 5mins, can do QR code order but was told to write on paper. Quite a bit of time waiting overall. Food was good. But the top of $1 drink lemongrass was abit of a small cup. Its like a kids cup. Would like to return, but hope that the food can arrive faster and the order taken can speed up as well.

We came at about 650pm with little crowd seated. Was too tired and wary of a no crowd restaurant as a Singaporean. But nonetheless, sold by a kind aunty giving her best to promote, we went in. Damage was $34 for 2, one ikan assam set and one beef rendang/rice ala carte and a +$2 for the chendol. Not a frequent nonya food eater to know what is the traditional taste, but what i tasted felt original enough. Food was just nice in terms of serving size and flavour. Chendol was a bit small for +$2 but the jelly and mix was 👍🏻, still worth it. For a $17 per pax, it is more worth than many cafes or places of a similar pricing imho..But for people who cant take spiciness...the beef rendang might be too spicy for you(小辣 equivalent). A choice that i would visit again. 👍🏻

We were served by this lovely lady who was so helpful and attentive. Food was yummy, portion was good Will be back!

The portions are great and we ordered extra rice just to finish up the remaining sauces in the bowls. Rendang beef, Ayam Buah keluak and chap chye are our favourite. Lovely food and lovely staff. Please come and taste the food for yourselves! Oh here comes the desert!!! Bye!

Super good Peranakan food!! We’ve been here a couple times and the food was always amazing! Personal favourite is the Assam fish and rendang beef. Amazing service too! Will come back!

Though it is just a small cafe the top notch friendly service more than make up for the ambience . Keep up the good work ! We enjoyed our dinner v much . Thank you .
