I loved the restaurant layout, the atmosphere had a chill vibe to it and the staff was polite. No issues with the service and the food was tasty. I absolutely love the location, with the outside dining being connected to the park. The cost is right in line with the other restaurants on the same block. A definite must visit on a Friday or a Saturday, I'm guessing it's a real party on those days, seeing how I was there on Wednesday.

Super delicious food overall. My husband and I found it to be slightly greasy and over salted, but it also definitely did satisfy a craving! The burgers are not huge so i felt like i could take reasonably sized bites, finish it, and not feel overly full but I did feel slightly like the grease would not agree with me later. The service was great and the ambiance was trendy yet welcoming. My husband and I would go back- and he said if we do that he’s going to skip the apps and get two burgers next time!

Food was excellent, seating and service were all crazy slow 🥴.. ⭐️ also they were out of 4 of their main plates when we were there There was a crowd at the door for a solid 15 min waiting to be seated as employees just walked by and looked at all of us, lol. Annoying. The server was super sweet, but again, service was S L O W. The food was BOMB. Recommend: 🔸Hamburger: 8/10 🔸Cheeseburger w/ Swiss + Bacon: 10/10 🔸 Sour Cream and Onion Fries: 12/10– MUST TRY!!

Had a decent meal at the black cow. Burger and fries were great however the chicken sandwich did not have much taste. Service was good. Four stars.

This place was great. Went here for dinner on a cold evening after solo-exploring Portland for the day. The vibe and ambience inside is pretty cool and the customer service was great, super nice and attentive guy. I loved their fries, they tasted fresh and like REAL potatoes! The vegan burger was also delicious I could’ve done with a slightly larger portion but overall I would definitely go back!

We unexpectedly stopped at the Black Cow seeking cool shelter during Portland’s rare 90 degree September heat. We, and our dog, were readily welcomed and seated inside. Sylvia was cheerful and attentive. We ordered two Maine Lunch, that were easily downed. Upon request Sylvia took several photos of the vintage vault door and vault that once were on the second floor. For history buffs this alone is worth the visit. We’ll gladly return and try their signature burgers.

Food was really really good! We both got cheeseburgers (SUPERB- highlight of the meal) and then we got the fries and Brussels sprouts. The fries were a little on the light side, still cooked through and crispy but not golden brown delicious. Brussels sprouts were excellent and delicious! We were seated right away and our server was super friendly and nice! Everyone there was very nice about everything but the service was pretty inattentive and slow. I got the feeling they were very busy and it wasn’t intentional at all, but we basically never got plates or part of our order (to be fair it was only a sauce!) and ate off the tray our food came on but our server definitely asked people to run them out. It was maybe because we were seated outside, but by the time we left pretty much all the outdoor tables were full. Another server kindly ran our check back inside. At the end of the day we were still in an out in about an hour so it wasn’t that slow; but still moments that could have been better handled. Still an excellent cheeseburger though!

This is one of the best burger / fries I have ever had and one of my all time favorite spots in Portland. The milkshakes are out of this world. I highly recommend the dirty sauce. Never a bad experience! The staff is super friendly and the bartender was super cool and told me all the history of the unique building as well!

Pretty delicious food. I went out with my friends on a busy Saturday night. Our fries were crispy and well cooked. We ordered a table portion. Tons of salt, though. They provided us a few different sauces that went along with the fries. We enjoyed our burgers. Mine was a mushroom swiss burger. I added bacon, and my 3 friends other friends order the same thing. We all enjoyed it. My other friend did not like his veggie sandwich. Our other friend enjoyed his cheeseburger. The service was on point. Service and the burger were the highlight of this experience.

I got the Caesar salad, and my bf got the Swiss mushroom burger. The food was absolutely delicious. I loved the restaurant itself, the atmosphere was so cool and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The prices weren’t too bad slightly on the pricey side but not too bad just a bit for the portion. Everything was so fresh and homemade. I was almost licking my plate. You should visit if in Portland

Great experience, just dropped in for cocktails and fries and was not disappointed! The fires were so unique and well seasoned and the cocktails were super unique!

Cute little place. Food was good. Big projector screen in the back room. The was a shelf with a bunch of games, and a room with a TV and game systems. A smaller menu for food and drinks than was expecting, but it was still yummy. The restaurant was clean. We went on a Friday night around 5, and it was slightly busy, but we didn't have to wait.

The cheese hamburger was hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the bun. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. The location is pretty cool because it's a former bank. I ordered an orange cream soda, and it was life changing. I will definitely be back when I'm in Portland again.

Had the mushroom swiss burger and we ordered the tray of fries for the group. Also shared an order of Brussels sprouts. All very good! Fries are the crispy, seasoned shoestring variety. Good selection of beverages, reasonable prices.

The best cheeseburger I’ve ever had. The patties are crispy yet extremely juicy. Perfectly seasoned. Very good for this price. I would come back for it. The house soda was less satisfying though. Generally a very recommended restaurant.

Best burger in town, two years running. Fun and relaxing, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Some of the best people watching in town, overlooking Tommy's Park. Used to be an old bank, and apothecary. You can see the vault and window decals from the bar! Just don't be offended by sarcasm because the best burgers come with sass on the side.
