The beach itself an amazing view, but more importantly the neighbourhood- friendliness is another level. Cant wait to go back again. You can park nearby for Β£5 a day -whole day 24 hours parking and, there is a mountain for hiking πŸ₯Ύ and beach πŸ– nearby for you to enjoy the sunny weather.

Huge play area plenty to do. The cafe is worth a visit, children can have meals in a bucket with spade, fantastic idea, hot and cold food. Fantastic sandy beach, RNLI is in vicinity. Lovely walks.

So worth visiting and going to do the climb for the views. Beach is wonderful but be careful if you have a physical disability, especially on the stones

Brief visit to begin the C2C walk. Free public toilets and a nearby cafe. Obligatory photos by the sign board, dip a toe in the water and collect a pebble to carry on to Robin Hood Bay at the end of the walk.

Nice beach. There is sand further in and pabbles on the outer part. Good access with council parking. Good clean toilet nearby. The children really enjoyed playing and swimming. My daughter saw a couple of jelly fish.

It's a great spot to stop by. It has a stoney beach, so not one for building sandcastles, but there is plenty of space to relax. A large grassy area also if you don't like the beach which has a park for the kids including a zip wire next to the life boat station. There is 1 cafe which does food and drink to eat in or take away. This is also the starting point for the famous Coast 2 Coast walk to Whitby. Large car park which is pay and display and currently (Aug 23) costs Β£1 per hour which takes card and cash.

Lovely beach, but it can be better. Stone beach - I think the tides had risen and covered the sand when we went. Some hills around, play ground for kids, lots of parking around. You can buy ice creams around.

Superb clean sandy beach with miles of sand if you catch the tide right, which we did. There is a couple of ramps down to the beach (one used by the lifeboat when needed). Very easy access. There are loos at the top and a superb cafe where they serve hot cooked food and also sarnies and cakes. This time of year There was plenty of room to park-2 huge car parks. Not sure about high season though. Β£3.00 for 3 hours.

Really enjoyed a good walk along the coast here. We walked along to the lighthouse and back, and we stopped for about an hour on the beach near the lighthouse, whilst the kids played and we enjoyed the sun. Then we got ice creams and the kids played on the play area back at the car park.

When the tides out there are various pools created in the sand for to kids to play and explore there is no 'dry' sand as such to play on, It has some impressive rock pools full of creatures to explore, Public toilets are in good condition and a cafe that's busy is reasonable for food and snacks. If you look carefully you'll find some really old and in some cases war time graffiti etched into the sandstone around the rock pools, Impressive looking walks up and over big hills too. Car park is large and reasonably priced pay and display HOWEVER just a short walk away coming into the beach area is a car park with Β£3 all day parking so look out for that.

This is our new favourite beach when we visit our mum. It's nice and relaxing, plenty of places to sit. A nice cafe that does takeaway too. Public toilets but the cafe do not mind people using theirs. A good play area for children. Plenty of grassy area for people to sit and have a picnic if they want. We plan on doing a bit of a coastal walk next time we visit. There is a short pebbly section but then it's all sand that's good for sandcastles. Just be mindful of the tide times as it does come in fast. You pay for parking but it is reasonable. We paid £3.50 for 4 hours. We are planning a whole day for our next summer visit. A really lovely place with friendly locals ☺️

This places looks absolutely beautiful, we visited late in the evening which was a shame as we didn’t get to experience the sunshine however we did enjoy a lovely sunset while listening to the calming sounds of the waves. I can imagine a few hours here relaxing on the sands with an ice cream would be perfect.

great place to blow the cobwebs away. This beach is close to where I grew up. Catch it on a rare sunny or hot day and it's extra beautiful, most days be prepared for a bit of a blustery wander. It's a good beach, lots of space, history, character and charm. Take a walk around to Fleswick Bay from here too, lovely picnic spot, used to call it Smuggler's Bay before I knew its proper name

St Bees can seem a bit uninspiring when you first arrive, but head on up the coastal path towards Whitehaven and you enter a world of amazing coastal views, sea birds, light houses and hidden coves. Not super easy walking, but worth the effort.

St Bees is a beautiful beach, plenty of space to enjoy yourself. Beautiful walks nearby. A nice cafe, doing decent food and lovely ice creams. A park for the kids if they get bored of the beach and a toilet block.

Beautiful sandy beach when tide out. Good parking, toilets and beach shop . Beach clean, pebbles and sand. Some slipways for launching sailing craft. Lots of dog owners. Excellent children/teenager Park. Beach Hotel and caravan park nearby.

We stumbled across St bees by accident. Views are amazing, site is lovely and clean. We were on the beach. Certainly excellent for us.

Always a beautiful place to visit. I love it here on a stormy day in particular. The parking is good, the play park fun and the beach is massive.
