We private hired the site which was a brilliant mixture of terrains for vehicles with different capabilities. Nige and the rest of the staff were fantastic to deal with prior to our event and were also extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the day, making sure everyone challenged themselves without causing damage to their vehicles. All our members had a really great weekend and we are looking forward to returning in the future as the site develops!

Great venue and a great host!!! Booked in for a test day with our project Cayenne arrived with almost zero off roading skills and left knowing the car was far more capable then we thought and picked up some new skills along the way!! 100% recommended for anyone looking to test there 4x4

Absolutely amazing place....and was very surprised how far a standard Amarok could go. There are also routes you can take if you don't want any damages, as the course is challenging, but great fun

This is a fantastic place to go to test your skills and your vehicle, in a managed and friendly environment. I’m commenting as a passenger, and if you’ve been put off “pay-and-play” venues where it’s a complete free-for-all, with vehicles, quads, and bikes all flying around the same space in any direction they like, then this is the place for you! Nigel and team are passionate about the vehicles, and make sure you have a great time, but still get challenged on the varied course. Well worth the trip!

This is a fantastic course, it’s well designed and structured in zones. layered for your technical ability and driver experience. Some zones are for the extreme seekers only! This was my second time off roading with Nigel, I completely trust his guidance throughout. You need this when you are throwing your piece of kit over obstacles, banks and rock features. Not only this I did all parts of the course that pushed my car to its limits with my partner, daughter and dogs in the car! Ha! It’s all good fun but we must have looked like a family that made a wrong turn somewhere! I’m regularly going to visit the Lake District and I will keep in touch with Nigel to see what he’s up to next. He’s a real car enthusiast with a great deal of knowledge about our Land Rovers capabilities and settings to get you around the course. Thank you it was everything I wanted. Oh and his lovely wife recorded sections of it and sent them to us. How wonderful to enjoy it looking back too!

My 6 year old recieved this as a birthday present, we all absolutely loved the experience. The staff were so enthusiastic and brilliant with my son. Amazing course and they have plans to expand. A truly exceptional activity which we are so lucky to have in our area. Will be visiting again

Absolutely fantastic experience visiting with our 4yr old son who is obsessed with off-roading. Nige was incredible, opening specially for us while we were in the area and really engaging with our son. We had the best day, pricing was so reasonable for a 45min passenger experience and there were lots of great zones with more in development. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. We’ve found it really difficult to find experiences like this that will accommodate younger children so this was a great find. Thank you Nige!

Went to Dalton 4x4 on Saturday 3rd June and definitely will return. Took my Range Rover L322, wasn’t unsure what to expect when we got there but was soon put at ease by the relaxed atmosphere and knowledgeable and friendly guys there. There’s no pressure, no rush and just go at your own pace. Not your usual pay and play where it’s a free for all. Excellent settings and fantastic course with plenty of steep gradients and wheel lifts to test your car’s capabilities. Keep up the good work guys. Thanks for a great afternoon.
