Absolutely beautiful, clean, beach. Regularly visit with my dogs, mixture of decent size dunes, large beach and ample free parking along the slip road. Great views down the coast on a clear day, can walk down to Cresswell and get a gorgeous ice-cream at their little shop, alternatively, walk towards Amble along the beach or follow the costal path.

Fabulous place, miles and miles of sandy clean beach, backed by grass covered dunes. A short walk from the access road behind the dunes where you can park on the verges bordering the road.

Most beautiful spot on the north east coast ! Definitely avoid Tynemouth and stop here it's just so much more beautiful and peaceful ! Loads of parking options and walks around the beach.

Nice beach for a walk. Not many people about either. Plenty free parking nearby too.

Stunning beach. Short or longer walks through dunes from the 'road' to get to the beach. Hubby visits the Nature Reserve - me & the pup get time on the beach.

Brilliant walk from the nearest village, beautiful view, not much to see inside the castle itself, good if you are a national trust member with free entry.

Beautiful quiet beach. No facilities. 11.00 am on Monday 23 August 2021 Only about 8 people on the beach.

Long and wide, temperature in the high twenties, just like a beach in the Mediterranean. Pity about the temperature of the North Sea.

If your bird watcher or even if your not you will enjoy the varied birds, there are lots of different water birds and the beach is a short walk.

Stunning, secluded and surpisingly empty expanse of sand and sea. Our dog loved it. 18 mins from Ashington by car. You can park at the side of a long, quiet road (like everyone else does) and then trek across a few dunes for 5 mins to reach the beach.

The best kept secret of Northumberland coastline. The drift cafe is outstanding on the south end. Park up opposite walk to the beach and north towards Amble. Any weather, can't dampen the beauty of this area.

One of the best natural beeches in Northumberland which stretches for about four and a half miles with high sand dunes and a tide that goes out half a mile over golden sand banks, a great place to stretch your legs and good for dog owners, and it's amazingly quiet even in summer.
