What a wonderful, scenic attraction! So easy to get in and out of. A wide, paved walking path made it a breeze to get to right off the main road. There's a gift shop and bathrooms for all the road warriors out there in need of a quick stop. Multiple viewing points make it so easy to capture that perfect camera shot or selfie. Well worth the stop!

If you are driving the ring road you don't want to miss this stunner! We could have spent hours just sitting and taking in this awesome falls, but there is just so much to see and never enough time in Iceland. Make time for this falls in your schedule, you won't be disappointed!

A pretty nice way to the waterfall, it's not that far. And with all the snow and ice it's a super unbelievable view. I really recommend this waterfall which was one of my favorite ones here on Iceland! It's so enjoyable to see so much water power so close and in these blue colors.

One of the most famous of over a thousand waterfalls of Iceland. Picturesque and lovable. Great place to take pictures.

Maybe the most beautiful waterfall of Iceland. The on-site parking is free and there's also a cafè/bistrot with a nice shop inside to take some souvenirs. Moreover, along the promenade leading to the waterfall there are also tables and benches for eating something with a very beautiful panorama.

Very beautiful and easy accessible waterfall. It can be viewed from both sites and both views are magical. Right side better afternoons and left in the mornings hours (sun angle). Along with souvenir shop, bathrooms and some refreshment,it is very convenient site. It is on the road to the awesome Aldeyjarfoss waterfall.

Just a 30-minute drive from Akureyri, Iceland is a stunning waterfall called Goðafoss. Located on the Diamond Circle is a tourist attraction nicknamed “Waterfall of the gods” aka Goðafoss. These falls looked like a miniature Niagara Falls to me. Shaped like Horseshoe Falls at Niagara, Goðafoss is over 65 ft tall and almost 100 ft wide. In comparison, Niagara’s Horseshoe Falls is 170ft tall and 2,700ft wide.

What’s with all the tourists walking on vegetation that they shouldn’t be on. There are clear signs and areas roped off to prevent people from entering certain areas. Your photo is not going to look any better a few steps away. Anyway, great waterfall to see! Crowded but easy stop along the ring road.

Must visit waterfall! I recommend the east side for best view and close up experience but not long to go to both. Parking is free but gets busy during day I recommend going early or late

Beautiful outdoor experience. The weather was perfect - sunny and a slight breeze. I highly recommend this stop when you are in Iceland. Tour company is Traveling Viking - our tour guide, Jon is knowledgeable and friendly.

This waterfall is absolutely beautiful. You will have several different viewpoints of it and it truly is majestic! It is on the ring road and if you are traveling around this road, this is worth the visit. It's on the road and a very short walk to get here so it's very accessible.

We were on a private tour and Godafoss Waterfall was one of the places we visited, stunning to take in the surrounding views and listening to the sound of water, amazing. Highly recommend.

Great waterfall with multiple viewpoints. Small side path down to the opposite bank of the falls for additional great photo opportunities.

Incredible waterfall with several view points to see it from. The path on the left takes you right to the origin so you can get up close. If you are athletic, you can proceed down to the base and reach the river.

I took a tour from Akureyri. The drive is easy along highway 1. Scenery is beautiful along the way. In my opinion, the better thing to do is to join a tour and guide locally from the cruise ship terminal. There are plenty available and price is reasonable.

Bought the tour from a vendor close to the cruise port in Akureyri. It was roughly $70 per person, but you can take the public bus from Akureyri for $26. The falls are gorgeous, you can take different paths to get closer to the water. The beautiful blue water is runoff from glaciers. There is a visitor center with restrooms, gifts, and food. There is no entrance fee, about 30 minutes from downtown Akureyri.
