Nice hike with little elevation gain, as you are walking among the river. Water is amazingly blue. Be prepared with waterproof shoes as the first few km was super muddy. Took about 2 hours to get there and back with photo stops.

One of the most beautiful places in Iceland. The sick water that flows from dozens of small fountains. An amazingly beautiful place. Go down under the bridge, the view from there is spectacular

So cool! The watercolor was insane here. I parked closer to this waterfall instead of parking near the road to get to the waterfalls. There are two more waters about 10-15mins apart from this waterfall, make sure you go and see the other ones cause the river is so nice and the water continues to be blue and the waterfalls!

Great waterfall with a hike along waterside where you can see three waterfalls. We walked up for about 1h 15min, but we took lots of time to take pictures. I think it's doable in 50 min. The parking is free, near the road just over the bridge. At 30 min you'l see the first waterfall, this part, through bushes is the most muddy part, bring walking boots.

We went at the end of May and it was stunning. The hike is mostly flat and not at all challenging. There are 3 waterfalls along the way with the Bruarfoss being the last one. Parking for the hike is free and since it’s not a major stop for the tour buses, it doesn’t get overcrowded. One thing we’d do differently on our self drive Golden Circle tour, would be to have driven to the Geyser and Gullfoss further down the road first to avoid the midday tour groups at those locations and then come back and do this hike during the peak hours (12-3pm). It adds a little extra driving, but if you like avoiding the masses then it’s worth it.

Highly recommend parking in the free lot and doing the 2-mile (each way) hike. The hike is flat and follows the river the entire way. The two lower falls are every bit as majestic as the main one, Brúarfoss.

It is a 2-hour round trip trek to reach this waterfall, but the views here are incredible. With a small ravine separating the waterfall,. It almost appears as if the river is parted with the waterfall falling into the center. It doesn't have much incline shifts, but be prepared for LOTS of mud if you decide to go after a rainy day... Which is practically all the time. Be sure to bring boots!

One of the most underrated stops on the Golden Circle! Although a new parking exists, we suggest to skip it as the 45min hike is very fun and you get to see 2 additional waterfalls. Waters get very blue if the sun is out!

Beautiful! Get to see 3 waterfalls on this trail. The water is so amazing and blue. About half of the trail is extremely muddy if it just rained. Would highly recommend boots that you don’t care getting wet/dirty. One part you have to cross over water/rocks so be careful. Parking is limited.

Easy hike but if it’s rainy or wet make sure you dress the part! It was really muddy when we went for about ~1 mile until you got to the first waterfall but well worth it

This was hands down my favorite waterfall/river formation we saw. Simply for how amazing the colors were! Short walk to the views but wow was it worth it! Definitely a bit crowded, but very manageable. I would 100% recommend everyone add this to their stops if they are driving around Iceland!

Fantastic falls. There was not much of a hike at all from the parking lot — literally only took a couple minutes to get there. They’re very worth visiting. There is also a great gift shop with a cafe/restaurant at the site as well. It was yummy :)

Beautiful area, amazing views, deep blue colored water. This was one of our favorite spots in Iceland. It was not touristy or crowded which made it feel like you were in a very natural setting. The parking area is a short walk on a gravel path to the falls and there’s a foot-bridge to the other side of the river. The views of the mountains behind the river and falls is beautiful. I highly recommend visiting Bruarfoss.

Worth the 2 mile hike as you will pass three waterfalls in total. Yes, it was very muddy today as you can see but it is worth it. Definitely not a hike to bring kids along. (Hiking sticks are a plus when muddy.)

It's amazing how the hot water comes up under the ground, it's actually boiling , reaching to 150 degrees C°, and some meters away you have the harsh cold, snow all over, everything is frozen. The is also some sort of spa nearby.

I would recommend this on a day you have to fill with some activity. I wouldn't go out of my way to do this hike but it was nice and the waterfalls beautiful with fresh and clear blue water which you don't see often. However there are so many beautiful waterfalls in IceIand and this won't make the top 10 but still nice and the hike is easy. I went on a dry cold day, would definitely not go on a rainy day as the trail is very muddy.

An amazing mini waterfall, with beautiful detail. The hike to the waterfall is around 45 mins. As you walk/hike to the waterfall you will meet 2 other waterfalls and they are lovely too. Advice- do not use google maps as it will take you through private land as it did for us- had to send my drone up to find the right path and managed although the path is pretty straightforward. The parking is right by the road and is free. Plenty of space to park.

Awesome hike with the kids past these three waterfalls. Great views, not too much mud for us. When we left around noon the parking lot was full.

Our visit in June 2023 had awesome scenery and hassle-free parking. Word of advice: waterproof clothing is a must! Enjoy the views up close and stay dry for an unforgettable experience!

Described as a hidden gem and significantly less busy than other sites on the Golden circle. The waterfalls were each beautiful with the blue colour of the water absolutely stunning. We went mid April and much of the route up to the first falls was the muddiest I've ever walked through but it was fine beyond here and overall totally worth it. Just under 2 miles walk each way from the car park.

Awesome waterfall. There are 2 places to park. One is a small parking lot, not sure if its free but it will require a long ish (2hr?) Round trip walk to the falls. The other parking lot is down the main road further, and you'll turn onto an unpaved road. Super bumpy, takes about 10-12 minutes, go slow, but it takes you to a parking lot with a 750isk fee. The walk from that lot is 3 minutes.

Beautiful blue water! Though not a tall waterfall, it is a gorgeous view even on a cloudy day. Our date of visit was the beginning of July, 2023.

Stunning waterfall with a lovely baby blue colour! If it has recently snowed it might not be suitable for vehicles that are not 4x4. There is a parking fee of 750 isk for cars up 8 seats which we payed via the app as the pay machine was down at the time. Totally worth it!
