This place can best be appreciated together with the exhibition about sandbyborg and it's excavation in kalmar in the Kalmar läns museum and gråborg, in the middle of öland. Only a fraction of the place has been inspected yet and many questions remain unanswered up until now.

Old ruin with circle wall. Not so much to see really but if your at site and have access to the webpage (QR code at site) you have some videos which is nice to watch while at site!

Nature/scenic views are perhaps the best reasons to go here. Fun encounters with roaming cows. Long beach, very little people (went in August).

Very interesting place. Sadly the excavation work has not been continued. But the area itself is very interesting.

While the castle remains themselves were very cool, my favorite by far were the fossils on the shoreline. Take a few moments to walk along the sandstone and look for fossils!

Fun remote spot to visit. The views of the ocean are beautiful.

Thanks to the cows that made worth visiting

The only reason to visit is the cows on the beach and view. but not good för swimming indeed and no. facilty or any tree in the area.
