The maternity ward is a real drama. My wife was in labor for 17 hours until the doctor kindly allowed for a cesarean section (then a great text was said: "Why haven't you given birth yet? It should have been over a long time ago"). The anesthesia came late, there was no progress in labor for many hours, and a cesarean section was still out of the question. Not to mention details such as constantly pointing out that you are 5 minutes after visiting hours, and during visiting hours patients are taken for blood sampling or on rounds. There were errors in the baby's card - something different was written than what was said after delivery. Of course, the patient has to unscrew everything on his own by flying around the hospital and looking for doctors. Finally, I will add that the text "this is childbirth and it must hurt" can be given to themselves after several hours of painful contractions,

My opinion concerns the new maternity ward moved to Smoluchowskiego 17. My wife, child and I have very good memories. My wife gave birth to a son there in May 2019, natural birth. As for the conditions and service, we are very satisfied, this is how it should be.

Even though the hospital building is a monument and there are no great comforts here, the most important thing is that the best specialists in Poland are here. We came here all the way from Rzeszów to save the lives of our twin girls with TTTS syndrome to Professor Świątkowska-Freund. And if it weren't for the professor's quick and difficult procedure of separating the fetuses, they probably wouldn't be with us now. After the procedure, the fetuses were able to develop properly. As a result, the children were born at 34 weeks. After birth, the premature twins were cared for by a very good team from the neonatology department. Thank you all for your help.

Hospital at ul. Kliniczna 1A in Gdańsk was closed and moved to a newly constructed building at ul. Smoluchowskiego 17 in Gdańsk at the University Clinical Center. The old building was a ruin, it's surprising that the ceiling didn't fall on anyone's head. Conditions as in the times of the Polish People's Republic, no investments - they probably knew they would close it. A year ago I was there for a check-up at the Dermatology clinic. This year in a new building. You can immediately see the contrast between the modern and the old. This change was definitely needed, the times of anything and everything are over. Everyone wants to be treated with dignity in decent conditions. Now the conditions are great, great doctors and professors, only the nurses could be nicer. Well, you can't have everything (:

Tragedy. Today I left the hospital after treatment. The surgery was postponed twice. Doctors do not respect the patient and his time. The patient is a subject. When I finally got the surgery date, the doctor scheduled for the surgery did not show up without a word of explanation. When she met her in the hospital corridor, she avoided contact. Complete lack of any information. I waited all day until another doctor finally operated on me. The hospital is dirty. In a ward with several dozen patients, the bathroom is cleaned only twice a day. Shit. The cleaning ladies only complain about "what kind of patients they have." Midwives also do not care about hygiene. They do not change gloves when collecting blood from different patients. When I pointed out to one of them, I heard in response that "the gloves are primarily intended to protect her against infection." And what is supposed to protect the patient?! I do not recommend.

On May 17, 2017, I underwent a procedure to induce a dead embryo. Unfortunately, I reacted to literally every possible side effect, even though I am not allergic to drugs. The midwives took great care of me, for which I am extremely grateful. Losing a child hurts like hell, but in this hospital, pregnancy pathology operates at the highest level of understanding and professionalism. There is no lack of empathy and care. Immediate care from a psychologist or even a priest if someone feels the need. Additionally, the hospital provides psychological comfort in the form of a brochure ensuring that your baby, despite its minuscule size, will be buried with dignity. I would like to thank the doctors and staff for their help and support in difficult times

Disappointed and terribly disappointed, she arrived at the ward with skin problems after the deadline and the doctor sent her home, where the next day in another hospital it turned out that there was low amniotic fluid. The waiting time is not adequate to the service, our health service will leave much to be desired for a long time.

I am assessing the new building on Smoluchowskiego Street, I was in the gynecology isolation ward. Even though the nature of this stay was quite traumatic, I must admit that I was very positively moved by how caring and empathetic the midwives treated me at a difficult time in my life. It is very important. conditions in the 'Western' ward, double room with bathroom, comfortable, remote-controlled beds, curtains dividing the room. Painkillers as needed, no problem. It could have been a very difficult experience, but thanks to the branch staff it was manageable. Just thank you.

I don't recommend it, I gave birth in December - two weeks After giving birth, large remnants of the placenta began to "fall out". Despite the curettage immediately after giving birth, it was done imprecisely, which resulted in repeated curettage!!

Gynecological surgery - I would like to thank you from the entrance to the exit for the care, smile and kindness of the staff at all times of the day and night. This is very important in difficult moments. Standards - we can be proud! Sylwia P.

After my stay in the hospital, I have no positive impressions. Pregnancy pathology should be a nice department that is open to the problems of women who encounter various diseases of their children or are unable to give birth naturally. Giving induction in three drips that run together for 9 hours is unhealthy. This causes uterine contractions but does not always lead to delivery. Even if a woman does not want to induce labor again, doctors practically force her to undergo another induction after a day of rest. This process is repeated up to 3 times. This is a total of 27 hours of drip administration and if even this does not help, even though the pregnancy has not yet progressed, doctors decide to perform a cesarean section. But why? I leave this question to them, let them consider whether risking the lives and health of mothers and their children is consistent with their conscience. Doctors intimidate women, and the helpless ones submit to what the doctors tell them. The woman had to have a cesarean section at 7 months because the baby was supposed to be sick. After the procedure and numerous tests, it turned out that the baby was healthy and a cesarean section was not needed. Let everyone answer who's mistake it was!!! As for meals, the portions that pregnant women receive are not consistent with the food pyramid, especially during pregnancy, because you should eat 5 nutritious meals a day, not three, which include 15g of butter, two slices of sausage and two pieces of bread. The sanitary inspectorate should also be sent there because the bathrooms are not suitable for bathing, there is fungus on the ceiling, as well as on the tiles around. The cleaning ladies probably don't go there and there's always a shortage of paper in the toilets. Best regards and I do not recommend it. If someone wants to choose a good hospital, it is better to go somewhere else.
