Me
and
my
friends
booked
a
table
in
a
South
American
restaurant
named
Chakana.
What
was
supposed
to
be
a
charming
culinary
trip,
turned
out
to
be
the
exact
opposite.
Let
me
guide
you
through
our
story.
After
we
were
all
seated
at
the
table,
the
waitress
told
us
that
our
group
was
too
big
to
order
à
la
carte.
I
understand
that
when
you
visit
a
restaurant
with
big
groups
you
have
to
adjust
to
the
restaurant’s
rules.
But
a
group
of
six
persons
is
really
the
standard
size
of
a
normal
family.
They
don’t
specify
these
rules
on
their
website,
which
we
checked
before
booking
our
table.
We
were
told
that
we
could
only
take
the
cold
starter
dishes
and
choose
whatever
we
wanted
for
our
main
dish.
But
two
people
of
our
group
just
came
to
the
restaurant
to
taste
the
tacos
on
the
menu
(but
that’s
a
warm
starter
meal).
When
we
asked
if
we
could
take
the
tacos
as
a
starter
we
got
the
reply
‘I
have
to
ask
that
to
the
kitchen’.
After
ten
minutes
(none
of
our
company
was
offered
drinks)
another
waitress
came
to
take
our
order.
She
asked
us
what
we
wanted
to
eat
again.
We
told
her
that
we
just
asked
if
we
could
eat
the
tacos
as
the
starter,
to
which
she
replied
‘I
have
to
ask
that
to
the
kitchen’.
At
this
point
our
table
started
to
feel
very
neglected,
even
worse
it
felt
like
they
ignored
every
word
that
came
out
of
our
mouths.
We
were
still
not
offered
drinks
and
started
to
become
very
thirsty.
But
we
hoped
that
we
would
finally
get
an
answer
if
we
could
take
the
tacos.
Suddenly
the
young
chef
comes
to
our
table
and
in
a
very
rude
way
he
again
tells
us
we
cannot
take
the
tacos
as
a
starter
because
we
are
with
6
people.
He
was
talking
on
such
a
fast
way
and
didn’t
gave
us
the
chance
to
understand
the
menu
or
add
questions
about
our
preferences.
At
some
point
my
partner
asked
again
which
are
the
cocktail
options,
on
which
he
answered
‘I
already
told
you!’
At
this
point
we
felt
very
hungry
and
uncomfortable,
but
we
decided
to
just
let
it
go
and
choose
the
main
dishes.
By
this
time,
we
still
didn’t
receive
our
drinks.
We
ordered
some
wine,
beers
and
a
mojito.
We
also
asked
for
free
tap
water.
The
waitress
told
us
‘we
don’t
have
tap
water,
I’m
sorry’,
So
we
just
ordered
a
regular
bottle
of
water.
But
the
weirdest
action
was
that
she
gave
us
tap
water
that
was
cooled
in
their
refrigerator.
The
water
was
presented
in
a
glass
bottle
without
a
top,
(they
charged
us
9.5€
for
this
tap
water).
In
Belgium
it’s
illegal
to
charge
for
tap
water.
When
the
waitress
came
with
the
drinks
she
didn’t
told
us
the
name
of
the
wine,
this
we
also
had
to
ask
here.
My
partners
mojito
never
arrived,
so
she
just
asked
for
an
extra
beer.
After
we
waited
40
minutes
for
our
main
dishes,
our
food
finally
arrived.
This
fact
surprised
us,
because
the
cook
made
such
a
big
deal
about
the
waiting
time
for
the
tacos.
But
in
the
end,
we
still
all
waited
almost
an
hour.
There
was
just
no
consistency
in
what
he
said.
It
felt
like
he
was
trying
to
make
us
choose
the
most
expensive
dishes.
The
food
was
okay,
the
meat
was
well
baked,
and
the
sea
food
dishes
did
their
job.
But
the
overall
experience
just
ruined
it
all.
This
restaurant
gives
you
the
impression
that
they
believe
they
can
offer
a
fine
dining
experience
but
the
prices
were
very
high,
the
service
was
very
low
and
the
portions
were
very
small.
There
were
4
different
main
dishes
chosen,
but
except
for
the
meat,
they
were
all
identical
plates.
Some
grilled
vegetables
and
three
potatoes.
After
our
meals
everybody
was
still
very
hungry,
we
felt
insulted
for
having
to
pay
such
a
high
price
for
such
a
bad
service
and
food
experience.
We
left
the
place
with
hunger
and
visited
the
frituur.
There
we
payed
7
euros
for
a
great
meal
and
a
great
sense
of
hospitality.
I
hope
this
restaurant
has
a
good
answer
for
this
experience.
In
the
meantime,
I
can
tell
you
that
me
and
my
friends
aren’t
coming
back
to
this
place.
