Good spot to stand up paddle board or kayak. Does get very busy especially on weekends or public holidays can be hard to find parking.

I am giving this area a 5 star rating due to overall experience and not just about fishing. Well it is a beach that family and dogs can enjoy the water not only for fishing but also for swimming. Great place to hang out to chill the afternoon by the sand over a fish and chips snacks. There is also grass and elevated areas with picnic tables under the trees. At the time when we went there were some works being done hence the long walk to the jetty. We explored under the restaurant called The Heads which was the short cut to the other side of the beach. We love coming back to this place due to short trip from home.

Beautiful sandy beach front at the mouth of the Barwon River and near the bluff. You can also look around for the blue soldier crabs in the sand as the tide goes out

Great for a beach walk to to make your way around the heads. The river offers plenty of fun activities and also hosts a good enjoyment of other activities. Walked the beach and was able to duck under the bridges and also restaurants that extended out onto the piers.

Nice beach. But I would prefer if the water had no salt as it irritates the skin- no signs in the area to notify. Please keep this in mind when visiting.
