Have been to Harrison’s Hairdressers multiple times over the years and usually quiet happy with hair cuts. All of the staff are friendly and most of my experiences have been pleasant. However my last experience was horrible. I got my hair cut in January this year and the lady cutting my hair was thinning it out and went to answer the phone and came back and picked up the scissors by accident and chopped a considerable chunk of hair from the left side of my head. At the time I said “oh no” in shock and she convinced me that it would be hardly noticeable and a very small chunk. I explained to her I had 2 weddings coming up and was part of the bridal party in both and have my hair up every day at work (I have long hair). She said it wouldn’t be an issue and that I could just pin it back. I paid full amount for the cut and went home. For me going to a hairdresser is a big thing and I have never complained. When I got home I was in tears, I couldn’t tie my hair up properly and I was stressed. I showed my family and friends and they were disgusted I was made to pay. I went back the next day and voiced my dissatisfaction and asked for them to try and “fix” the chunk so it wasn’t so obvious but they said nothing could be done and I wasn’t offered a refund. It has been some months now and I still struggle with doing my hair every day as it will take a long time to grow out. I have seen 3 hairdressers (from the weddings etc) who all agreed they would never make a client pay for a bad cut. Looking back I regret not making more of a fuss and demanding a refund, I was too shy but now know I was right to be unsatisfied and still am. I acknowledge every one makes mistakes and has bad days, but mistakes should always be dealt with and not ignored and wiped under the carpet. I will not be going there again.

I got my hair done at Harrison Hairdressing today and LOVE it. The cut, colour and softness of my hair is brilliant. Price is reasonable, was quick (even with full head of foils), advice was great and staff are lovely. I highly recommend this place and I am very fussy!

Really disappointed. I’ve been here before to have foils done and I was happy with the results and it was well priced. I recently returned and asked if it was possible to do a balayage style through my hair which the stylist said she could do. Unfortunately what I’m left with is poor blending, leaving a line of demarcation between my natural hair and bleached hair, and my bottom layer of hair is extremely brassy while the top layer is blonde. Now I will have to spend even more money to go get it fixed at another salon. Will not go back again.

TERRIBLE. I went here after reading good reviews, BIG MISTAKE. Brought in multiple pictures for simple highlights, came out with my hair looking almost exactly the same as when I went in. I asked for my hair to be LIGHTER instead I came out with black roots, having gone in with dark brown roots. I specifically asked for the highlights to be started mid way down, instead got about 5 orange chunks put into the roots. Hairdresser did not even put in highlights at the bottom at all?! Complained and was fobbed off with poor excuses and told by the hairdresser "this is the first time I've done a colour like this." It's not even like I went to a trainee. Actually liked my hair more BEFORE I went it. One of the worst hairdressing experiences of my life. Waste of time and money. NEVER going here again and warning all my friends about it.

About three months ago I went to this salon. I had been there once before this and didn't have an issue but after my second return I was mortified with the results and have sworn to never come back and had to pay over $300 to get my hair fixed by another hair salon. I had a simple request of wanting my hair re dyed brown. A bit of the colour had fallen out over lockdown and my regrowth was showing. When I left the salon... my hair was RED. Like the little mermaid Ariel RED. I did not ask once to go red, my simple request was a dark brown.... I went home crying and ended up needing my mum to call the store back because i was lost for words. I returned and they put a straight brown overtop. This then caused my hair to now be black at the top where my natural hair colour was and a dark brown with red tones for the remaining of the hair. I did have to pay for the original red colour which was disappointing but Rick did 'fix' the hair free of charge... However, I ended up going to another salon to fix the mistake and because my hair was black at the top and faded to a red... they had to BLEACH my hair to fix the mistake. My new hairdresser also mentioned my haircut wasn't straight either to top it off. I hoped the hairdresser I had just made a big one off mistake but unfortunately I can't return to a salon that doesn't understand that red is not the same as brown.. The first photo is the red they put in instead of brown and the second picture is when they put the brown over it.

Reasonably priced and totally professional I've been taken care of by Harrison Hairdressers for the past few years. I've since moved to Richmond and will still drive back. I usually went on a Saturday but I went on a Thursday night I've and the place was pumping! Great vibes.

Went a while back to have hair cut and coloured. Ric cut my hair and it was great but.... Was a blonde when I entered, asked for silver blonde, came out with brown hair. Colourist lacked ability and professionalism, and I was told she was most experienced. What occurred was inexcusable. Don't ever bother.

It was great to bring my granddaughter to the place where her Mum used to have her hair cut. Thanks for being so friendly towards Lani. She loved the experience. Rick remembers Tania - Lani’s Mum, so it was all good.
