10/10 for this restaurant. The food was top class. The taste of every dish we had was the best Indian food we have had in a longtime. The service was excellent - responsive and friendly. Reasonable priced as well. Highly recommend the Restaurant at St Kilda. You will not be disappointed.

My partner and I live in the apartments above Banyan tree on Barkly street, and had gone for a walk. Even in shorts and slides the restaurant was facilitating to our needs, super polite and receptive, the food was the best Indian I’ve personally had. Everything was fantastic

The food was amazing, loved the butter chicken 😋 And the staffs were really welcoming and friendly. Loved the vibe of the place, will be back soon. Thankyou for your great service ☺️

Very delicious and authentic Indian flavours. We had the mix platter, dhal makani and chicken vindaloo. All the dishes were nice. We almost licked the plates.

We ordered takeaway and waited at the bar, checking out the retro nineties setting and good views of the street foot parade. We walked home with dinner and it was delicious. Fair price for a very good meal. Next time we’ll eat in. Thanks Banyan.

Newly opened and finally some excellent Indian food in St Kilda. Butter chicken is elite as was the Kofta. Service was warm and with a smile and the place is child friendly also. Hopefully the customers start flying in as it is a gem with a good price point and won't disappoint. We will be back.

Great food, very friendly service, serving sizes were good. Very clean and tables well spaced so your not on top of other guests. I will definitly be back for both dine in and takeaway!

THE best quality and tasty Indian food in St kilda! I’ve tried them all many times and Banyan tree is my favourite. Fresh, delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. (It’s also halal) Dates: 7/1 and 9/1 I had the clay pot fish : An absolute must try! Lamb Rogan Josh and butter chicken: Lamb is free of fat and bones and melts in your mouth! 🤤 Come and try for yourself, I promise You will not be disappointed.

Simply the best Indian restaurant around! Amazing food and service. We had the tandoori fish for entree. It was simply melt in the mouth!!!!. Delicious! Followed by a couple of curries, a chicken and a beef (sorry haven’t got the menu handy for dish names but they were soooo good), naan and rice. Quality red wine too. Our new favourite local restaurant! Very reasonably priced 👌. Met the owner who is very lovely and humble. Get on board peeps!

Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations added an extra layer of personalized service, making the dining experience at Banyan Tree truly memorable. The ambience was on point. They combined the best of traditional charm with a sprinkle of modern cool. The place had this nice, cozy feel to it, perfect for a chill dinner or a foodie date night. The subtle Indian vibes in the decor made it Instagram-worthy without being over the top. They have very decent bar (kingfisher lager on tap!yay!). The bartenders clearly know their stuff, and the drink menu had a little something for everyone. Cheers to that! We had a wonderful dining experience where authenticity and simplicity take center stage. Will definitely visit again!
