People coming and going which is a good sign. Friendly staff and nice deco. Had latte and salmon bagel, can’t complain - just hit all the right spots. Voted the best local cafe in Knox by a MP, usually don’t believe anything they say but this time, I’ll eat the humble pie. Will come again if in the suburb

I must say the staff are who sell this place. I've had the chef bring out the meal before and ask how it was (which is fantastic to give compliments directly to the chef) as well as the owner getting hands on. The coffees are great, and food is also delicious. Unfortunately however, twice now I've had the big breakfast with poached eggs and they just can't seem to hit the nail on the head. Both times one egg was perfectly runny, whereas the second was solid. Is that a make or breaker? No, but it is a bit disappointing. The other thing that strikes me as odd is that it's the only major cafe on the strip, but it doesn't open on a Sunday. Maybe there isn't much demand, but it forces me to go elsewhere. All in all though, worth a visit!

My friends and I came here for brunch today and we were blown away! We ordered the Eggs Benny, Pisa Stack and Chilli Scramble, which were all amazing and complex in flavour - not like the basic brunch food. The Pisa Stack was particularly delicious. The cafe was cosy and customer service was lovely too.

My favourite place to get a morning coffee and quick bite to eat. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Not only are the staff super friendly and pleasant to speak with, but the quality of the coffees are second to none. This combined with the friendly and relaxing ambiance is why Schokolade is my go to coffee shop. If you haven't been already, I urge you to swing past and give this coffee shop a go! I went for a weekday lunch here, the staff is welcoming, warm and friendly. Grabbed a table outside being a beautiful warm sunny day in Melbourne and ambience was good. The menu is good for breakfast though but feel it needs a bit of thought for lunch and as per season. But hey, I know it's been a tough year so let's give it to them for now. Ordered a "Fish & chips" and a "Pasta Carbonara". Fish and chips was absolutely brilliant and I could come here just for that any day. Very crisp, great quality and freshness can be felt all through 👍 Pasta Carbonara was good too, but it was too cheesy for a warm day and a bit on blander side. I would definitely recommend making a different pasta for warmer months, like - Pasta Pomodori, or Chilli & Garlic pasta. All in all, a good spot for a nice relaxed brekkie or brunch.

Coffee was quite average. Milk wasn’t frothed enough and was a bit burnt.

This is a local cafe. Nothing fancy. Known for its hot chocolate. Tried the dark chocolate and it's good. The matcha latte I ordered was a little too sweet. The servings are big. Couldn't finished the chilli scramble. Food wise, it just ok. Nothing to rave about.

The food and coffee is second to none.. It's a great coffee shop and breakfast lunch venue. .. Don't stop doing what you do.. it's winning.

Good Cafe, food was good although the hollandaise was bland and unenjoyable. Not a good place to go for eggs Benny, but their big breakfast was excellent. Eggs were cooked well and mushrooms were very tasty. Other eating companions thought their food was good, but nothing special.

Very nice looking premises, menu was extensive and prices were ok. The downside to this cafe is the noise. The noise that staff make far exceeds customer chatter.

We’re locals and my wife and I go here at least a couple of times a week as we live around the corner. It has now been 2 years and they still can’t remember our names, I mean how hard is it to remember MJ? Coffee is over priced, $5.20 for a medium coffee?? I work in the city and pay less for a large coffee of much better quality. Coffee taste burnt half the time, or tastes like you’re drinking just milk and they forget to add sugar sometimes too. We went there again today to order a coffee, was disappointed before we could even order so we just walked out. Won’t be returning or recommending this place!

Our go to for our early morning coffee. Yup we are the ones who are there waiting for the doors to open at 630am. We are always greeted with open arms and smiling faces. Best coffee around, definitely puts a kick in our step.

This used to be my local at the end of my street! I miss my daily coffee on way to work from these guys. Using the SKIP app made it so convenient by the time i left my driveway after placing order Adrian and his amazing staff would have it ready in no time at all. The breakfast on the weekends are also greatly missed 😂

This shop use to be amazing years ago when we lived in the area , travelled a fair way to have that beautiful hot chocolate experience,but unfortunately it was not case ,my husband asked for a dark chocolate for me ,I actually think it was cocoa,very bitter and small chunks stuck to the cup ,as cocoa does not pleasant at all sorry

Nice Cafe, good selection of menu options, wedges were really good, kids loved the chips with plenty of tomato sauce, lovely toasted sandwiches, everything was really nice. Service was very good and plenty of parking out the front. Milkshakes and coffee get five stars. We will be back.

This is definitely the best cafe that I've been visited in 5 years. This is more community, local, warm, friendly, feel sense of belong there... Customers are greet to staffs at the door first, instead of most of the business greet to the customers - feel cold, part of the job. Don't get me wrong. The staffs did acknowledge customers even when they work. I feel every staffs use their heart to work. Nearly every staffs had conversation to customers. This is a fast pace cafe. Customers are come & goes. From my experience, this is one of the successful business and customers feel belong there comparing with the other cafes surroundings. Yeah, no doubt other cafe doing very good in sales. Number 1 or top 3 in Victoria in business point of view. Overall nothing can compare with others in business, customers, staffs point of view and working environment. This is the winner 🏆

I’ve been a regular at this cafe since 2020. They not only made me delicious coffee, but more importantly, they made me feel welcome, each and every time. The coffee is outstanding, and consistently well made. Schokolade is one of few places that I can wholeheartedly recommend as a reliable, comforting cafe experience.

Staff are wonderful, the meals are of high quality as are their hot drinks. Highly recommend a few visits. They also look after you with the coffee - its great for the garden.

Had brunch, coffee & cake today. Scrambled eggs with avo was good, my friend had the Benedict which went down without complaint. Coffee was excellent, as was the service. Cake selection a little on the usual commercial side, but I still managed to enjoy the Rocky Road.

Came across this great cafe when I was in the area visiting my physio. Fantastic coffee & went back for more today. Great focaccia too. Took some coffee back to work for my colleagues who loved it too. Will definitely go back when I’m in the area.
