Not too shabby of a place for pub grub. Average prices but the food is quite tasty and it did exceed my expectations. Chicken parmas are HUGE and come with sides. They are super filling! It’s a shame they don’t do takeaway because I struggled to finish my meal haha. Hopefully they gain a license to allow takeaway in the future 🤞 I found the food a bit heavy-handed on the garlic but I really like garlic so it wasn’t an issue for me - but might be something to note for others who aren’t such big fans of it. Sides like roast veg are not always cooked all the way through and are very underseasoned, however I kind of like my veggies bland, but again something I want to mention to others who value tasty sides to their chicken parmas Would not advise getting the steak (don’t have a picture of it sorry) but the menu is quite large and I’m sure everyone can find something they like. Overall, would recommend for a hassle-free, not overly expensive dinner (:

Instagram: @ediblemelbourne We rocked up here last minute and they were quite happy to accommodate us. We were happy to come early and so the venue wasn't busy. The value for money is very good when you have the two for one coupons; which are given to you as soon as pay the first time, which you can use for your next visit but within a month; a bargain if you ask me. We happened to also be there on Parma night. We ordered heaps of food and were not wow'ed but satisfied with how speedy it was and the portion sizes. We ordered: 1. Nasi Goreng 2. Aussie Beef Burger 3. Lamb Roast of the Day 4. Creamy Chicken, Mushrooms and Bacon 5. Aussie Parma We absolutely loved the burger; we reckon it was probably the best dish we had. Followed by the parma although it was a bit on the dry side. The Nasi Goreng was far from authentic and had a really strong taste of aniseed. Lamb roast was nice, the apple sauce on the side was a no-go though. The creamy chicken dish could have been a 10/10, but it lacked a salty element which would have made it top notch. We would definitely be back here if it wasn't for the abrupt service. Don't get us wrong, it wasn't impolite or rude, but it was super rushed; you know when they get your plate from in front of you and you haven't finished your chips? Yeah, like that. Same sentiment was shared around the table. We finished off with the apple crumble; it was nice, hot and crumbly; exactly what it should be. Definitely worth giving a try if you're in the area; don't forget your coupons. :-)

Food was okay, for the price of 2 for 1, it’s value for money with good portion. Kids love the food especially carbonara. Should have carbonara in the main menu too for adults. Great place for family dinner with kids playground and ample parking spaces. Been there many times with no issue, except tonight. Was truly disappointed with the service, particularly one of the staff - Mitch. She’s very rude. No greeting when ordering, asked for receipt, she showed frustration, made us felt so unwelcome. Horrible customer attitude.

It's pub food but they do update the menus from time to time and have specials on different nights. Food is good. Family friendly with a kids area, heaps of parking and the staff are always friendly

We dined in the bistro. The bistro is clean and modern enough. There's a play area for the kids, so we go at the kid-friendly time of 5pm. Kids meals are really reasonably priced (around $7) and adult meals are a bit more expensive, closer to $30. But the food is of a reasonable standard and the staff are always friendly. Our parents get the seniors meals and they're a good size and price. They were all happy!

Very good value, every dish came out delicious and fresh. The kids loved the play area. This place rocks

Delicious meals witu generous portions. They cater for dietary requirements, including gluten free (they have a separate fryer). It's great that they have the two-for-one voucher with Shop-a-docket. Thanks for having a takeaway service, too. Thank you.

Wow not the portion size I have had in the past but it has been a while between visits, tasted yummy but a couple of tablespoons of risotto 3 spears of asparagus and a small piece of salmon certainly made me stop at the local maccas for another lunch! Geez just charge a few dollars more and make it a meal worth having paid for...

Service was lacking. i think it would be nice not to have to ask for water at your table. The food was ok but nothing crazy good just ok

Such a lovely hotel. Meals are really good, with a huge selection of choices. The seniors menu too has a great selection. We were a party of 20 and we all enjoyed our Meals. The grand kids had a play area too which kept them entertained.

No lift service from the carpark to the club. Make sure that you dropoff your passengers at the front entrance before parking if they are enable to walk freely without aid! Good value of food with one for one eat free deal.

Ordered at the counter and was waiting a while so inquired about the status of meals - told firstly they couldn't find our order and then told the order hadn't been put through from the register. Eventually, we got 4 out of the 5 meals. The remaining meal was eventually received after others had half eaten theirs. No apology was given for the delay, and food was unceremoniously dumped on the table. The tables were also too close together and too noisy and crowded. The food that eventually came was tasty though.

The food is always amazing, just maybe need more bar staff, always a queue at the bistro bar but have found the bar in the gaming room more efficient. This is definately a reliable regular for us for dinner

Love this place. We are a local family and visit the place regularly. Great food and value for money. Customer service is also excellent and very quick service most of the time.

If you want feedback, put your comment section in a format that most people can use. Had many, many meals over the years at your resturant and always impressed with your food. Had a seniors lunch last Friday, Chicken Scallopini - which I always have. Very disappointed. The chicken was tough and the spinich and sauce had no taste at all. Usually the Chicken is always yummy and tender and the spinich was lovely (and I hate spinich). If you have a new chef he needs to be bought up to speed or we won't bother coming anymore. Trying it out again early March with friends - hope it has improved.

The service was fast. Nice atmosphere.Food was yummy. But the fries were overcooked. Was very shocked the pricing of the dessert. VERY SMALL PORTIONS and way too expensive. $9 for a small round scoop of pavlova piece and $9 cheesecake very small square. Not even a slice. Won't order the desserts again. But definetly will order the meals. I will try lunch sercive next time.

I would love to know how all of our chicken parmigiana meals came out literally 5 minutes after ordering. Maybe it is because they were all just sitting in the kitchen waiting before anyone orders them. Meals were not hot, hardly even warm enough to be edible, two of the four parmas were left half eaten, schnitzel was soggy and I might have received about 20 chips with my meal. Pretty skimpy considering this is all that comes with the meal and you have to pay extra for a salad or vegetables. At least the chips were hot. 1 star for that. Extremely disappointing experience to a level that was not even worth bringing up to staff who seemed over run and disinterested. When the rest of our groups meals came out one staff member even told us to hurry up in telling her where the plates were to be placed. Just plain rude. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss and go to a restaurant where meals are fresh, hot and the customer service is actually customer service. Wantirna Hill Club must have some regulars that are used to this mediocrity because I don’t know how it could survive if tonight’s performance is their benchmark for quality.

Lovely place for a really nice meal. This is a fabulous place offering a wide menu selection of varied meal styles. Prompt service, friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere make for a very relaxing afternoon meal with friends. Wide menu selection at acceptable prices topped off with a more than favourable drinks list. A quiet ambiance, nice views and plenty of parking means I'll be back.

This place is big, family friendly and senior friendly (they have a whole menu for seniors). There is a kid play area, which looks rather old but will keep your kids occupied with slide, playstation etc. Their menu was interestingly had some Asian mix in them. Tried their special of the day, Balinese crispy pork belly. It came with coconut rice and salted green beans. One thing missing is the sambal paste! Any Indonesian will notice this straight away. And when asked staff, they gave me chili powder instead, so I guess they dont make any. The pork belly isn’t crispy but the seasoning is amazing! You can taste the lemongrass and beautiful spices, quite salty though so I couldnt eat it without rice. Coconut rice was nice, would love to have more of it. Overall satisfying meal, would love to come back and try other things. Oh, hot chocolate was rather bland so won’t order that again.

This is our default place to eat, mainly on a Sunday night. The service is nearly always quite quick and tonight being Mothers Day, we waited a little longer. I ordered something new, Sizzling Fajita plate with prawns, and I'd have to give it 10/10. The flavoured rice was pleasant but once the vegetables had cooled enough to try them, the flavour of the charred capsicum and prawns burst through. With the sour cream and guacamole this was a very enjoyable meal, and one I hope they keep on the menu as I will be ordering it again.

Used to eat here years ago as was a favourite place for the some of the family, though I never really liked the food very much. Came back about a month ago and was very pleasantly surprised to see the place had been changed up a bit with a much-improved menu and very nice meals. The kids loved the giant play area too. Will be back more often.

Took my mum out for dinner tonight, had the scallopini, salt/ pepper calamari and sticky date pudding. The dishes were sensational!!! and very generous portions. The staff were lovely and polite, professional and the service was fantastic. The meal came promptly we both had an awesome evening. I highly recommend this venue. Thank you so much for the lovely dinner.

It's very spacious. Plenty of seating. Mains are very generous portions. Plenty of baby high chairs. Easy parking. Very nice crispy skin roast pork with plenty of gravy and apple sauce. Friendly service. Back to try the fisherman's basket next time.

We were seated straight away by a lovely server. The meals came quickly. They were lovely and delicious.

Quality of food was particularly poor this evening. Medium porterhouse steak at $40 was tough, chips and mushroom sauce were not hot. Lucky someone ordered roast of the day as I used the gravy on that dish in place of the mushroom sauce.

Can be noisy when there are kids birthday parties on. It is bearable. Food wise - reasonably priced and seniors meals too. Download shop-a-docket app for 2 for price of 1 meal. There are daily specials too eg Tuesday night - Steak Night for $22. End of month lucky draws - where one can win $2000 etc. Loyalty points card available too for redeeming drinks etc

This is our local go to club. The staff are brilliant. The food is pretty good. If there are any issues the staff graciously accept a fault without argument.

At least the beautiful kept us occupied while we waited for our meals and the cake - if we didn't ask for either, we would have still been waiting there. The lady who served us clearly didn't want to help serve the cake, as she gave the cake and candles to someone else and then proceeded to clean tables that were already clean. Also, we had to ask the staff to clear our table as the dishes were still on there over 30 mins after everyone had finished. The food was average, and there weren't many vegetarian options either. On a positive note, the place was warm, the seats were comfy, and the plates/ cutlery/ table were all clean.

Only ate Ham,tomato and cheese toasted sandwich. I recommend they should NOT use processed cheese as it doesn't melt well. BEST Hot Chocolate. Not too chocolaty but creamy and frothy. Old looking inside, especially the toilets. Could do with a renovation. Play Bingo only there. Staff very helpful and friendly.

We had an awful experience at the Wantirna hill club tonight, we ordered for 4 adults and 2 kids, the first kids meal came out after 15 minutes but then a whole 30 minutes went by before 2 adults meals came out, kid number 2 is eating any food going spare. Many complaints to staff later and 2 more adult meals come out but still no kids meal fish n chips, many complaints later and everyone having finished their meals and finally the second kids meal comes out. Poor kid couldn’t eat it after waiting so long. We won’t recommend this place any more and we won’t be coming back

Large menu for seniors meals, was a little disappointed with lack of salad/veg on Parma meals though. Otherwise food was tasty and service quick. Playground for kids is great with video games and jumping castle.

Nice food and a busy atmosphere but service can be very slow sometimes. A bit confusing around the order area because the bar runs along the same area so it gets very congested. Great shop-a-docket deals 2 for 1 main meals too.

  • 4/5 Kat H. 8 months ago on Google
Food is usually good tasting and nice sizing. They have a variety of chicken parmigiana toppings. The chicken skewers are nice, but probably not enough for an adult male serving. Side salad was extremely small, basic, and therefore very underwhelming. Hot drinks (coffee/hot chocolate) can be made on request but not worth the wait time and price. Staff don't interact much with customers. Restaurant has a nice view if you get near the window.

This was our first visit and we were delighted. We went for lunch without a reservation but we were kindly found a table near the fireplace (without asking!!). Our meals were delicious and the beer was cold 🍺

I recently ordered the Chicken Schnitzel for lunch, hoping for a satisfying pub meal. However, I was let down, both the Schnitzel and the accompanying chips were served lukewarm, which detracted from the overall enjoyment. Additionally, I noticed that the underside of the Schnitzel was quite moist, and the crumbed skin had an unappealing appearance, resembling a white, soggy mess. It was evident to me that the food had been pre-cooked and not stored properly. While I cannot speak for others' practices in storing pre-cooked food, I dont think it is going well here. I will not be going back.

Dined here many times with family and friends and thought the food to be good and value for money, even the seniors meal. We have not been for several months and this time went on New Year’s Eve 31/12/23 and ordered seniors meal. Very disappointed to see that the price have gone up considerably and to top it off the portion size have almost halved ! Usually I’m a small eater but wasn’t even full after the meal! Not sure if we’ll be going back

I have been going to the Wantirna for many years. I have not been back for a while now. Was very disappointment of how things have changed to the current menu. What is it with all these add on. No salad, vegetables included, no this is now a extra cost to you of $4 to $5. I remember to days when this was included in your meal. I know prices are going up, however the days are gone for a decent reasonable meal for everyone.
