The Boronia “Hotel” has a really lovely look to it Nicely decorated and huge play area indoor for kids and friendly staff but that’s where it stops The food reads good in the menu but was genuinely appalling. The meals were cold, slow to arrive and lack lustre Very unappealing and not pleasant at all The menu is extensive but in my opinion over priced You order meals at one spot and drinks and dessert at another Restaurant is large but adjoining through main dining to pokies Really disappointing

Meals ok, decent bar/TAB area. For families - the kids playground has a huge climbing maze thing which little ones love. The video games used to be a good variety too, but on my last visit with family I was disappointed to see that pinball etc has been replaced with lots of those money sucking chocolate bar grabbing machines etc.

Has all the facilities and good service, the place is well run, fast and friendly. The meal itself which was pork belly was nice and cooked as it should be with an authentic sauce however a huge pile of rice and not enough sauce to go around. Playground had some maintenance issues so attention to detail is lacking a bit however they were busy as heck so don’t think they’re to bothered about it.

Absolutely amazing food and service. The play park for the kids is great but unfortunately had a few teens using foul language and mistreating the equipment. Otherwise, a fantastic place for a lovely bistro meal.

Nice selection and great new vegan options. Kids play area and a. Sports bar. I was told Bistro doesn't open till 11.30am, but it says 'all day classic bistro'.

First time here for family get together, 3 small children, 2 pre teens and 4 adults. Came on a Sunday for lunch. Had to book, the place, including the rear carpark was full. Service and staff were very good, smiles and pleasant. Food came out very quickly. Meals were good, not great. Steak was a bit overcooked, for the medium l asked for. The fish was tasteless, other meals were ok. Considering the prices, the meals weren't a decent size, except for the chicken parma, which was huge. Play ground is fantastic for smaller kids, a number of the electronic games were not working. Not sure if we will come back. I would have given 3.5 stars, if l could.

Been here a lot, lately they seem to have stepped it up a notch. The Pork belly was delicious. It was a monday, so the pizzas were on special for $14. Great playground for the kids.

Great place for a relaxing lunch while the kids have a play in such a spacious indoor playground. Service was good and food came out fast. Great tasting pub food and good kids menu too. Kids didn't want to leave which is a great success. Plenty of tables near the playground so you can sit back and relax knowing where the kids are. They have something for toddlers up to older kids so suits all ages. We will be back again with the kids.

Seniors Parma was nice. Seniors Fish n Chips was nice. Good Pub food, service was a bit slow, but I'd go back.

I don't know what I enjoyed more tonight- the needlessly rude waitress at the door (Bella) who refused to offer our table of five anything other than a table for four, despite the entire pub being basically deserted at 5pm on a weeknight- were still plenty of free tables when we left- or the bugs in the play area. We also ordered the Napoli pasta for our vegetarian son, who was served a meaty Bolognese despite the fact I confirmed my order twice at the counter. We used to come here weekly with our friends and their kids but yeah, if we can't get a table large enough to accommodate our booking, the staff are going to be rude for no reason whatsoever, our orders will be incorrect and our kids are going to be surrounded by roaches... Probably gonna drive a few minutes up the road to an alternative option.

I held my daughters 4th birthday party at The Boronia Hotel. I was a little hesitant at first because it was a pub like environment. Alas I was worried for nothing. This place is fantastic. You pay per child with a minimum number of kids. You get the works!!! Someone to host it, a heap of hot food, the whole party room(which I decorated) face painting, musical statues, and their awesome playground. They even supply an ice cream cake. I 100% got value for the money I spent. The lady that hosted my party was Alley and she was so professional and just super happy and friendly, nothing was too much for her. And we had a party with a tonne of kids. The parents all loved it too because they were able to relax and have a great meal while the kiddies were entertained. I would highly recommend The Boronia Hotel to all parents out there looking for a party place. Great venue, amazing value for money.

This place is rapidly going downhill! The food is getting worse every time. How hard is it it to cook fish and chips?? Chips under cooked, fish over cooked, slimy salad from one or two days ago. Very hard to find hand sanitizer too which is pretty poor considering today’s times!! They still haven’t learn here. The previous time we were here early for dinner with the kids and the only ones here plus a large group in which they sat us all together. They have no idea how to run a business here. The sports bar is they only good thing about it.

Not impressed at all. A once loved pub that has gone downhill from our experience tonight. Ordered via the QR code. It took 15 minutes to receive some drinks, then a trip to the bar and another 15 minutes to receive the remainder. Food took quite a while to arrive, and only 2 our of 4 meals arrived initially. One meal was finished by the time the last one arrived at the table. I love eating dinner while someone else is still waiting for their meal, don't you? Asked to speak to the manager, was told she will come out in 5 minutes. Asked again to see the manager who had still not appeared, who then apparently had to deal with an issue in the gaming area so who knows how long we would have to wait to talk to her. Writing this review as we are still waiting to enjoy her presence. Lucky the food was tasty, the chefs and kitchen staff deserve the stars I am providing you. Once a family favourite, we will spend our money elsewhere from now on. Perhaps you need another manager on your busier nights?

Amazing! Dinner was truely amazing. Service from staff over and beyond all smiling and working hard. The place was very busy and the meals still came out on time. Compliments to Manager and staff.

Staff were lovely and polite, advertised children's meal for $5 with an adult meal, when I question why the kids meal cost $19 was told that it wasn't $5 for that particular meal. The battered fish was under cooked. Will not be going back the there.

Absolutely love the pizza and pasta from Boronia Hotel! It's my go-to place, and the waiters are incredibly friendly. The service is top-notch, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. From the delicious dishes to the welcoming staff, it's always a delightful meal at Boronia Hotel.

The kids loved the playground, and we appreciated them being entertained here, but that’s where the positive points end unfortunately. It was a very busy Sunday and we booked 2 tables as we had 25 people attending a birthday celebration. Each family ordered separately at the counter. We had 3 kids meals that came to the table by mistake on top of the meals we ordered. They also forgot one kids meal. When I explained to one of the wait staff that I think they had made a kids schnitzel & chips instead of the kids steak & chips, I was told they would sort this out. Unfortunately 20 minutes later we had to go up and ask for the meal to be made which took a further 15 minutes to come out - long after the rest of the kids had finished. I got the poke bowl and I asked for grilled chicken. I was very disappointed with costing $26 as this was mainly just a bowl of coleslaw, with a piece of fried chicken schnitzel on top. Because the meals toke up to 50 minutes to come out, I couldn’t be bothered asking for this to be fixed. Again great play ground, but poor quality food esp for the price. Maybe some further support/training needed for the staff to be able to cope with the large numbers.

Even though my meal somehow was forgotten I couldn't rate it any higher. The second I asked a staff member about my meal the kitchen made it up and the Twice Cooked Pork belly tasted as good as the first time I had it. My friends meals looked great as well. I love that the menu caters for Gluten free and Vegan too.

Great pub. Has a fantastic big indoor play centre for the children. Keeps them very happy while you eat. Food was delicious. Went for a 2yr old birth day party. Was 12 adults at party everyone loved the meals. Chicken Parma, big serving and delicious .

Playground is awesome for kids. Probably the best play area in a hotel I've ever seen. We went with a booking for a table of 20. Was a little disappointed as we booked over a week in advance but was given two separate tables. So kind of felt very seperate to one another. The food was reasonably priced and served fairly quickly. But I have to say the vegetables on the kids meals were ROCK HARD. They we're barely cooked and it was disappointing. And the kids nuggets and chips weren't the best. And you only get a sauce squeeze thing. Witch isn't enough tomato sauce for anyone especially a 3yr old haha But the serving sizes were all good. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. And I would go back on the how awesome the playground is alone.

First person ordered her meal, the rest were served before her. Had to ask for her meal 3 times. Stuff up with one of the orders, we had all finished and birthday girl still hadn't got her meal, they hadn't started cooking it so she got a refund. Bit disappointing for her. Quality and size of meals were good. Free drink with Seniors meal great.

Went their for kids birthday! It's way better than When it was Zagame's, food is better, I can't justify getting a stake for $42, so I got the chicken pama with chips, for $26 ish, it was a good serving tasted nice, we also got garlic cheese bread, that was better than I thought, The kids play ground area is massive Way better than I expected as you can sit close to the area and eat and watch them. It's not a 5star restaurant but it's nota bad venue if you are wanting to.take kids and have some food and relax a little with friends

Apart from the black hairs in my chips I guess the food was fine. I have long brown hair and the people on either side of me had blond hair, so no it wasn't our hairs that fell in accidentally. Good kids play area.

Went with a bunch of people. Everyone was pretty happy with meals. My rib eye steak wasn’t the best cut, but someone else’s looked better cut. Also the menu is different to most options in the recommendations

The food was really nice, l enjoyed it. There are never enough bar staff on trying to do multiple tasks. Busy atmosphere, always crowded. Good place to take children.

Table fully of adults and they sit us on the table right next to the play ground? Paid $48 for the most fattiest “rib eye” that looked like a porter house, never coming back, the food was disappointing and the service was disgusting

Spaghetti was too small and wasn't any good, honestly. I can make way better spaghetti. Other dishes were good. Free ice cream and drinks with the kids meal is good value. Staff were okay. It's a decent pub bistro. I prefer the pub part. Gets a bit rough on weekends, but that's to be expected with Boronia.

Vegetarian and gluten-free friendly. Kids friendly. But Margaret pizza and chips are very average. I can get a premium quality pizza for the same price I paid from a 4-star hotel. U didn't need to taste all the food but only by trying the chips then u will know the restaurant's food quality level.

I recently visited the Boronia Hotel and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, creating a relaxed ambiance. The staff was attentive and friendly, providing excellent service. The drink selection was extensive, catering to various preferences. The food menu had many options. The pub offers space for small or large groups of people adding to the enjoyable experience. Large playground for little kids that is safe and very easy to get to and see. Prices were reasonable overall. I highly recommend this establishment for a pleasant and relaxing evening.

Food is amazing! Love the weekday specials (cheap pizza on Monday is the best). Service could be better. We stand at the counter waiting to be seated for around 5 minutes. Most times i resort to calling the venue to get someone to come and seat us. If you’re over near the playground it’s a bit chaotic. We choose to sit away from the playground to get some peace. All in all, this venue has some great food, is fairly priced. drinks are great especially Lemon, lime and Bitters! Service could be a bit better but we still go regularly for the great food.

We had a table for 10 people ,roomy , the Bar staff were excellent , we had a few sips on our drinks ,then ordered our meals a big variety ,the girl at the Bistro was pleasent and helpfull our meals were delivered within about 15 minutes and all cooked superbly myself and my wife had the Seniors and there was plenty on the plates ,a great experience and all the prices both drinks and food were value for money ,we can highly recommend the Boronia Hotel . The food was very tasty and restaurant quality. The wait staff were most helpful and friendly. It was extremely busy but meals came promptly. Will definitely return.
