The
Firehouse
Ringwood
is
a
laidback
restaurant
specialising
in
BBQ,
smoked
meats
and
cocktails.
It
is
uniquely
housed
in
an
old,
heritage
listed,
ex-metro
fire
station
(hence
the
name)
and
features
a
large
open
air
deck.
🧯
The
venue
is
charming
and
boasts
multiple
dining
areas
with
memorabilia
scattered
throughout.
We
were
seated
at
a
beautiful
spot
by
the
fireplace
which
if
you
do
visit,
I
recommend
requesting.
The
menu
is
viewed
via
QR
code
which
personally
unless
I’m
at
a
bar,
I
don’t
like
and
feel
it
takes
from
the
experience.
The
cocktail
menu
is
actually
quite
impressive
with
a
lot
of
original
creations
however
I
did
find
the
Fairy
Floss
and
Coconut
Margarita
cocktails
too
sweet
and
could
not
sense
the
alcohol.

The
Mac
and
Cheese
Croquettes
were
our
favourite
dish
of
the
night!
Sometimes
they
can
be
too
creamy
and
bland
but
these
definitely
highlighted
the
cheese!
The
Pork
Belly
Burnt
Ends
were
nice
although
the
sauce
overpowered
the
meat
and
could
be
better
served
on
the
side.
The
Pitmaster
Tray
is
recommended
for
1
but
we
shared
it
between
2,
for
$39
I
think
it’s
great
value.
The
Chicken
Drumstick
had
an
incredible
crumb
and
was
cooked
perfectly.
The
Pulled
Pork
and
the
Brisket
were
too
dry.
It
was
meant
to
come
with
Damper
but
instead
it
was
just
a
small
burger
bun.
Slaw
was
nice
and
creamy.
🍗
For
dessert
we
enjoyed
the
Top
Deck,
which
was
rich
and
mousse-like.
We
didn’t
think
it
needed
the
tart
raspberry
sauce.
The
Eton
mess
was
okay.
Service
needs
improvement
especially
in
product
knowledge
and
being
more
delicate
in
serving.
On
the
first
Wednesday
of
every
month
they
host
a
Trivia
Night
with
great
prizes
to
be
won.
Saturdays
and
Sundays
they
run
Bottomless
Brunch
for
$65pp
which
includes
1.5
hours
of
unlimited
cocktails
and
a
brunch
menu
item.
