Went here with about 20 people of which two were seniors.two babies and a toddler. The staff were amazing and accommodating. They made the meal a pleasure because of there attentive service and generally very good skills. To top it off the food was excellent,as was the seniors meals and the toddlers meal. This place gets a highly recommended on my experience

Horrible experience. Quite unwelcoming. In reflection to just have a few drinks I should of had chilled in the dining / bistro area. The beer was off , tasted funny and the more I had of it the more I felt sick. I suspect the KEG was a stinker or rotten. Never ever coming back nothing you can do will entice me otherwise. 0/10

I started by giving you 3 stars, but I had to drop it to 1 star, and if google allowed -ve scoring, I would have gladly done it. Steak was very badly cooked and tasted like a piece of rubber. Customer service leaves very little to be desired. A simple request such as asking for a glass of water and the waitress tells me I had to go and get it for myself. 😞 how disrespectful... I thought that simple etiquette for eating at a restaurant is to get table service.

Very nice venue. Great meals some a little expensive but very filling. Great value seniors meals and specials on offer. Lovely range of desserts. Pokies on site. Cheaper meals if you are a member. Comfortable seating, clean premises, friendly staff. Play area for kids and lovely outdoor area to sit and dine.

Great place for a meal. Service was fast. Meal was very nice. Had a seniors roast, which was beef. A good selection of vegetables. Would thoroughly recommend.

Just had Christmas lunch and I couldn't be more impressed. Food was fabulous, service lovely, atmosphere on point. Value for money and a nice day out. Thanks everyone for a great Christmas day.

Probably the least enjoyable Parma I have had, we ordered the saganaki and it was super rubbery. Definitely not cooked right. Service was prompt and quick. Staff were polite. I wouldn't eat here again

Caught up with an old friend so was expecting a little more from the overall experience. The food was good quality and pretty tasty, but the portion size was disguised with a lot of chips in comparison to the actual fish size. For a pub, I wasn't expecting such high prices for the meals. The facilities are very clean and the parking is abundant. I'm not a gambler so never love the pokies environment, but they've done a pretty good job of separating it from the bistro (I didn't go into the sports bar) and have big signs outlining kids aren't permitted. The beer garden looks pretty good too. Would I go back? If they made the meals a reasonable cost, sure..

Typical ALH venue with pokies, bistro and sports bar. Came here to check out the sports bar and happy to find a pinball so I was happy! Sports bar meals are great value. Staff behind the bar were friendly.

Everyone's was pleased with the food and service. Warm friendly atmosphere with lots of variety of menus items. Very easy to order from table and enjoy our meals 😋 very yummy happy with everything overall

Yardly one of the gaming staff is amazing. He saved my baby from a burning car and ensures the best service at all times. He even gave me his Porsche. What a legend.

Had lunch and although it is part of the ALH chain of hotels the meals were of good quality with friendly staff. Prices are in line with other hotels of the same chain. Meals menu selections are similar however this time my fries were crisp and accounts for the extra star.

Very nice place to have dinner. The food was good & service was also good. We had a large group of 30 & they coped really well.

We’re regulars at this restaurant. The food is always amazing, the staff are always lovely, and the atmosphere is always great. Has both indoor and outdoor seating, and a great indoor playground. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!

Whoever this new manager is seems to be quite switched on. I've been coming here for years and I've not seen the level of initiative. Making positive changes that we in the sports bar can see. And she's easy on the eyes too

my favourite pub by far. It is always a pleasure treating my dad to lunch here. The staff are amazing, they really look after my Dad and I. The food and menu is awesome and affordable. Please dont change xx (the seniors menu is amazing and so respectful to their sizing+pricing!)

Wow ppls, you have to try the public bar counter meals it's a must try..! What great value and for $20 I got a meal that filled me up and it was that big I couldn't finish it.. so yummy. Thank you to the bar staff and Peter the public bar manager for the best beer tap in the south East of Melbourne..!

This place used to be ok but it's now somewhere to avoid. Some of the staff are just plain rude, the main course is nice but the prices have gone through the roof and the portions of chips & salad have gotten smaller. If you previously enjoyed a complimentary bread roll, too bad. They're now gone. You even have to ask for extra serviettes! Finally, if your looking for anything remotely quiet this place isn't for you on a Friday night. The place is overrun with screaming kids running around unchecked.

Had dinner here tonight, team were very friendly and helpful. Food service was quick and meals were huge. Chips were perfect - crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Food was delicious. Will defs be back.

We had our Xmas party here with 30 people and could not be happier with the food and the service. It was out fast, hot and delicious. Thank you very much.

Went here for a catch up with friends as we have young children. Their play space is amazing. In the almost 3 hours we were there not once did we here I’m bored. Meals were great and wasn’t crazy busy.

Went to the hotel, had dinner - was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Cooked perfectly, Medium Rare. Just the way I like it. The chef is very talented - I will be back.

Love the weekly trivia! The host is hilarious and does a great job! Bar staff are always friendly and easy going. Clean and well maintained. Food is a bit basic but still good. Parma of the week never disappoints. Highly recommend 👍

A group of 8 of us had lunch here once monthly for the last three months and have enjoyed the experience. The staff have always been friendly, helpful and efficient. The menu and food and menu has been excellent and the meals have been served in good time. I would recommend the Bayswater as a good place to get together.

I have come here a couple of times, the food is always amazing and comes out quickly. The service is normally really great but tonight it wasn’t the best. We were a table of 10 and got kicked out at 8:30pm as the waitress said that they were closing. I understand that it’s a weekday and places don’t stay open late but 8:30pm is extremely early to be closing. Plus one of the people on our table had only just finished their dinner and then was asked to leave. I really like this place and perhaps it was just a bad night but I didn’t appreciate it.

I attempted to attend this venue recently, horrible experience. Myself and my husband approached the front door of the venue to be greeted by what one could only describe as a bully of a security guard. Upon entering we were asked had we had a lot to drink this evening to which I responded with I have had nothing and my husband had a couple of beers over dinner to which we were refused entry. I said to the security guard why are we being refused he responded with I believe your husband is intoxicated I was stunned I explained to the security guard that my husband has a disability which affects his legs happily offered to show him the scaring, this causes him to talk and stand with an unusual gait which can make him appear like he is staggering. We were asked to prove his disability happily offered numerous pieces of proof. Whilst I could have stood at the front door and provided the herald sun and age articles that discuss the massive fall my husband had been through and the fact he is lucky to still be here I chose not to. We had been humiliated enough. We were not a group of young males we were a middle aged couple going for an end of night drink left to feel degraded and humiliated by a disgusting security guard. As a person involved in the disability and aged care advocacy sectors I do not recommend this venue to anyone who is wanting to feel welcomed and accepted. To say I was shocked is an understatement. All venues have the right to refuse entry to anyone they chose you will never get the opportunity to refuse us again. I have in the past utilised this venue many times to take clients to due to its accessibility, never again. From my research it would appear this is not the first instance of problems with security treating patrons badly. After this horrid experience we went to another near by venue which we are known at welcomed not accused of lying about a disability or labelled intoxicated. There are so many nicer venues out there don't bother with this one. Shame on you ALH for allowing your staff to behave like this.

Such an amazing pub!! The manager Chloe truly does a great job. I was treated very well and had a delicious meal. Definitely coming back again!!

The staff were friendly and provided good service. The main meals were okay but seniors bangers (plural) and mash suggests more than one banger. It’s not as if they are a costly ingredient. The desserts were really woeful though. I had the tiramisu and my companion had the cheesecake, not the one he wanted with passion fruit but the one with an Oreo on top. He’s not inclined to make a fuss so just ate it. Both desserts were as if they had spent a few days in the fridge desiccating. Not fresh at all. I would get a new supplier if I were you. Standards have slipped a bit I’m afraid to say. I’ll be checking reviews before coming again.

I visited the gaming room tonight. It was such a pleasant experience! I think Jess was the person who served us our drinks and she was very polite and well mannered. Would highly recommend this place as it exceeded all expectations!

Great atmosphere and decent food, can recommend the flathead! The service was great, especially from one of the staff; I think her name was Ally. Friendly smile and made us feel welcome! Definitely coming back!!

Since moving to Bayswater, my partner and I have made the Baysie our go-to for a cheap and tasty meal. The sports bar has such a fun atmosphere and the staff are always super friendly. If you’re a local or simply passing through, I would absolutely recommend stopping here for a pot and Parma 🍻

Loved the pub but their ribs were served somewhat cold and tasted a bit bland. Wouldn't advise anyone to try the ribs meal. Maybe it was just a one off but I definitely would not order them again.

I recently visited the Bayswater Hotel and I was very impressed. The pork ribs were cooked to perfection and were incredibly tasty. The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The public bar and sports bar were great places to hang out with friends and watch the footy. There was even a play area for the kids to enjoy. Overall, I had a great time at the Bayswater Hotel and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to hang out with friends and family.

Food was good. Nothing overcooked (just right). Was impressed with Keira and Tim who gave solid service in the gaming area - I am not a coffee man myself but my friend said they knew how to make a good coffee. They also provided snacks without delay and kept the area nice and tidy. These things generally go unnoticed, but not by me.

The sports bar menu used to be good here. They put their prices up around 50% and the food quality got worse. Ordered a chicken burger. It looked like someone slapped it together with their eyes closed. Tiny thin bit of overcooked chicken that only filled half the bun. $21 for this rubbish. I'd rather eat a 6 day old McChicken burger out of the dumpster
