😠 I have never walked out of a cafe before, until yesterday. After being seated, we watched 4 empty tables around us be seated and then have their orders taken while we patiently waited. When it looked like noone at all was coming to serve us we just picked up our things and walked out, and we wont be... I have never walked out of a cafe before, until yesterday. After being seated, we watched 4 empty tables around us be seated and then have their orders taken while we patiently waited. When it looked like noone at all was coming to serve us we just picked up our things and walked out, and we wont be going back. The food may be good, but the service needs some work. So many good cafes in the area, ill spend my money on one that looks after its customers.

Excellent staff... Fast service.. Amazing place for brunch.. Cakes and rest of the desserts are delicious too... Veggie Brekkie and Lemon Pepper Calamari highly recommended... My kids loved Belgian Waffles.. looked very tempting as well.. Strawberry Choco Mousse looked great and added more fun to my kids' wonder-world.. 😄 I love their Tiramisu cake which my wife always orders on my birthday 🎂 Coffee was a bit too strong for me and honestly I didn't expect latté without art, but that's okay.. not all the baristas can do the coffee art..

Great coffee, food, and desserts. This place never fails to amaze me with the quality of the desserts they offer. My friends are always shocked something so good is hidden away in Bayswater. The coffee is always great and add a jam donut to that and wow. My friends have on more than once occasion said the donut was the best they have EVERY HAD. Bit statement but when its said more than once.... They do sit in service with some tables outside also, as well as a great online ordering system. During lockdowns it was the perfect thing to send family for special days, or pick up. I would recommend this cafe over any other in Bayswater!

Food was good, and reasonable prices. Coffee wasn't that great, the male staff with blonde hair wasn't very pleasant, table service was poor with clearing dishes away. They didn't clear any empty plates/ coffee cups left on our table, we had to clear it ourselves and move it to an empty table as had no space.

Came here for lunch on Saturday. We sat outside because we brought my dog. It was raining a bit and unfortunately it came in on a bit of an angle so we had to move the table over. The man who took our order wasn't very friendly. He looked like he had better places to be. The main downside is this waiters attitude and also having to wait 45 minutes for our food to come. But it was almost worth the wait because when it did come, it was fantastic. I ordered the veggie big breakfast which was absolutely delicious. Perfectly crispy hashbrown, a generous serving of avo and egg, delicious mushrooms, and lots of haloumi. The granola panna cotta was really nice too. I wished I could eat both! The eggs benedict had a really nice hollandaise sauce, and my brother was happy with his food. We went inside to pay and got a few cakes to take home. I got the mousse (i forgot to take a picture but it looked fantastic), and it was so delicious. The baklava and vanilla slice was also fantastic. The prices are also really good here. I will definitely come here again because of the food!

Gorgeous Bakery/Cafe in Bayswater. Have been there several times and the high standard of the food is impressive. Their cakes and pastries are sublime and their sit down meals are beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommended.

Decent choice for a brunch location in the area. Nicely plated food, and the seats in the courtyard have a nice atmosphere (make sure you walk all the way in to the back). The service is quite slow though, and as some other reviews have mentioned, the male barista out the back doesn’t have the best attitude or make the best coffee. Overall this place is one of the better ones in the area, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much.

We are waiting for more then half hour, for food and when the food is arrived it's wrong, my son order the burger, first they miss the bacon in it, when we asked them the change it and missed the egg in it, they took it away and bring back with half cooked bacon, then we wait for coffee for another 15 min when we ask for coffee the staff first said they serve it. & then they said oh you never order the coffee, and then we charged for the coffee. When we call the manager for complaints she come and said oh don't worry am not charging you for this, i use to come to this cafe on regular basis but i think i need to move to the other cafe, I wish i could give them less then one star

I have popped in by accident, great news they have expanded. What traditionally had been a great cake shop in the Euro style is now a modern clean cafe. And they have updated again again with a wonderful beer garden. Well worth popping to get the best coffee in the area, an awesome breakfast. They now sell a wide variety of beautiful cakes and coffee with a expanded menu of wraps, savoury's, smoothie and more substantial meals. As they are now licensed I will come one night for meal and extend the review then. Though the menu looks promising with meat sampling boards and lemon calamari.

We often go here on our weekly shop. Breakfast first. Great selection of breads and all day breakie. Food is usually quite good. I gave this score because my friend and I didn't feel that good after having breakfast we had the zucchini fritters. They were too big and oil they were cooked in wasn't too good I don't think. We didn't even finish it. We did tell them. But we had to cut our shopping and go home. Both of us felt ordinary. Other than an oil issue on the day we do recommend the Cafe.

Always a wow. Starting with a tasty full bodied coffee that just finds a way straight to your soul. Then the breakfast was to die for. As always. Staff were so engaging and friendly. We really enjoyed our meal.

I want to start this review with a positive as the food is very good for the quality of food to receive. The male with the colored hair was absolutely rude on two separate occasions. My family and I walked to this restaurant for breakfast one morning and when my daughter asked for the menus the way he spoke to my daughter was completely unacceptable . On the other occasion, I am an uber driver with over 2000 deliveries and when asked can the customer have the drink packed separately because the customer lives 15 mins away and the cold drink will have to sit next to the hot food. When I raised my concern in the most polite way possible all he could do was laugh. Hopefully there was no food poisoning on this day.

Had a tandoori wrap and a roll, both were decent but not worth the price. To charge 15-16$ I'd expect something pretty nice. Atmosphere is great and staff were also lovely.

I’ve been coming here for years, since before the renovations. The coffee is usually good, the cakes look great and the ones I’ve tried taste great too. My only complaint is that the prices have gone up significantly in the past few months and I can no longer justify getting a cake with my coffee. And as much as I love the spanakopita the price is outrageous. Also as a very regular customer I’m perplexed by the attitude of the tall guy who is usually working there, he acts like he’s never seen me before (every time) and is not particularly friendly.

I had a simple but delicious egg/bacon focaccia roll with a chocolate milkshake. The milkshake was thick and the chocolate was like choc topping which I love. The service was quick even though there was three of us . It was constantly busy with people getting coffee but everyone is friendly and it has a great atmosphere...The prices were average. They have great desserts.

This prodigious little café breathes life into the Bayswater centre. It's your most reliable go-to for coffee, breakfast takeaways, or a sit-down. They have an impressive assortment of pastries and baked goods, with what I can infer as a slight Greek slant. They're also on top of their game for the holidays, often doing holiday-themed specials and putting up decorations, not to mention being open during most holidays. Because of everything it brings to the table, people and regulars do flock here, so expect a wait even for takeaways.

I love the food and have been ordering their cakes for workplace birthdays, at least twice a month. The cakes are amazing, but the service is dreadful. I have continually been made to feel like I am putting them out by placing my order and my colleagues have had the same experience. The final straw came when I went in this week. The male serving could not have made me feel any smaller and I just can’t understand why he does it. It is such a shame, because the cakes are a hit but the experience is taking its toll.

Beautiful food, friendly staff. My only gripe is the prices have gone up quite a bit but I suppose everywhere has. The brekky omelette and the short rib Sanger are both superb. Would like to see tomato in the sandwich too. The fruit tarts are lovely. The best cafe in this area.

Great food, good people, a little more expensive than other places but it's quite honestly justified for the quality and variety, been loving coming here for lunch

We celebrated a work colleague's birthday here, all eight of us enjoyed our meals which arrived quickly despite being quite busy. We had to book for a Thursday lunch. I have been here before a while ago and I'm glad I came back.

Really impressive! The food is amazing, the bread divine and fresh and the multitude of desserts are to die for! A large selection, all created on the premises (I believe) with mostly a Greek influence. Such a pleasure, will most definitely return soon!

Such a great atmosphere to the cafe. I’ve just moved to the area and without a doubt, this is my favourite cafe. Staff are always flat out and working hard, but will take their time serving customers and are very friendly. Coffee is excellent and according to other’s I’ve been with, pastries are delicious! (I’m coeliac so appreciate the gf options immensely! Definitely a must visit as a local and if you’re passing through!

Love Montano's. So much variety. Hard to choose which cake to have for a lunch with friends. Great lunch menu for eating in as well. Have been several times with friends/family.

Nice layout and friendly staff. Food was great. The zucchini fritters appeared to be salty , sadly we could not finish it. Overall, the experience was great.
