Great local pub- bistro.Have taken the family to feast over the last years 10 or more times, the quality and consistency of food is always good.cost is fair adults around $35 children $15. Overall it’s a easy meal all round and dependable well worth a visit. The only constructive criticism to upper management is it’s time for a complete menu overhaul, it would if handled well fill your establishment every night with a queue right down the road and I am sure my next review will be a 6 star 🌟 keep up the great work 😊👍❤️

Had been a while since my last visit to the Middle, in other words Ferntree Gully Hotel. It was probably pre-Covid times. So I've now found out they run "Feast" a food buffet bistro with enough choices of food to please all tastes. Pizza, pasta, Asian, Roast, Seafood, Salads, and a good selection of both hot and cod desserts. It is not 5 star food but at $35 a head for adults, $15 per child, it is good decent quality. Particular favorites on the night I visited was the Sweet and sour pork, the butter chicken, the tiramisu and sticky date pudding. At that price a visit is definitely a good night out.

A nice Pub atmosphere that has good service with plenty of easy parking election. out back with easy access to the venue. Generally meals are good. A good call in for a quick light lunch. Give this place a try as you will be happy with your selection.

We had a group booking for our Lions Club to celebrate Christmas at Feast. As I have intollerances I couldnt have most of the yummy food.🤔 I would like to say a special thank you to Chef Benny. He went out of the way to make me a portion of fried rice and vegatable chop suey and sent it to my table. This is real customer service. Thank you so much Benny you are a legend. 😊

I have been going to Ferntree gully Hotel for years. The all you can eat is so delicious and such great value, especially being a senior. Staff are so friendly in gaming too. So nice to have Neesh join the team. I am so big on customer service, and watched how he dealt with so many people's request with such warmth and care. His personality is so warm and friendly. Well done.

Very neat, tidy, and clean carpark. Inside was even better. Clean open spaces well signed so you know where to go, quite helpful for someone who hadn't been there before. We walked straight upstairs and were met by a team member who was very polite and helpful. She took us to our table and explained the service area to us. We walked around and looked at all that was on offer at the smorgasbord. There was a fantastic variety of foods on display. We made our selections and returned to our seats. The same team member popped over and asked if we were fine and if we were happy with everything. We ate, and some of us went for dessert. A fantastic environment and great food make for a great evening, by all. I definitely will return and definitely recommend anyone wishing to try somewhere different as you won't be disappointed.

Great place for the family. Kids play room and buffet for food the kids loved it. For the adults the food is pretty good with something for everyone. The chefs went out of their way to accommodate food restrictriction within our group. Overall 4 stars.

Great venue for large crowds. The food was all great, especially the curries and calamari. The chef helped out by clarifying allergy content and the staff were friendly when welcoming us in. The noise was very reasonable considering the 40 kids we brought in🙂 The desserts ran out but I blame the 40 kids and not the restaurant 😝

As far as all you can eat places go, Ferntree Gully Hotel's 'Feast' was really quite good! Filled 2 plates of food and only found a couple of things that weren't great, the fried rice and the sweet and sour pork - maybe they had been sitting for a while. Other than those I enjoyed all of the food, and the desserts were surprisingly nice! I tried the creme broulee, tirsamisu, and the hot jam donuts with a bit of custard. Pricing was good at $35 per head plus drinks which were well priced. Even the cocktails only ran us $12.50 each. Would recommend.

Hope you don't get the misfortune of dealing with Kelly when trying to get a room she'll tell you to go over to the other building when trying to book a room and then give you attitude when you attempt to book a room after returning from her incorrect information... this not how you treat paying customers if you hope to have a successful business.

Staff were fantastic, my son has anaphylaxis to certain foods. The head chef came out and assisted us in identifying food that was safe for him to eat. They were wonderful, they even brought him safe food cooked separately to our table. It's always stressful taking him out to restaurants this was the perfect experience 100% recommend and would go back again.

We had a family gathering for my birthday with around 35 in our group with ages ranging from 3 to 92 years old. I did not hear a single complaint about the buffet dinner but rather continuous praise. The variety of food was great and quality was better than expected. Total value for money venue which I have no problem to recommend. Staff were fantastic as well.

Great space for parties with three different function rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was nice and they came around regularly to see if we needed anything and offer drinks. Would recommend if you were having a large party to give them I go just not sure on the price to hire a function room out. Will be going back to have a sit down dinner.

Clean the buffet is good value plenty of seating for couples and families buffet has a selection of all foods meat from carvarie is tender look overall it's good value for a reasonable feed

After having such a wonderful Christmas lunch the previous year, we decided to go again for Christmas 2021. Sadly this time, was a real disaster. We weren't told that it was a smorgasbord and was expecting the previous years sit down menu and service. They used pork belly instead of a proper roast pork, which was so full of fat, it was virtually inedible. People everywhere pushing in at the buffets, no social distancing, no mask wearing. Staff too eager to take plates, that where yet to be touched. At $100.00 a head, we didn't even get coffee included. This was a real let down from the previous year and I'm sad to say, we won't be going back again. They definitely overcharged for what would be there normal weekly service. Adding a few decorations at the table and adding a non traditional Christmas pudding to the smorgasbord, does not warrant a $100.00 per head. It's clear, they were there for the money and not the real tradition of Christmas, unlike the previous year, which was truly wonderful. Bitterly disappointed. (See following comments).......My family and I had a set menu Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day 2020 and it was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and the staff were just wonderful. Very friendly and obliging. It was the best Christmas lunch, we have had in a long time. I really hope they do it again, because we would definitely go again. Thank you for giving us a very enjoyable day.

Had a love time with my son and granddaughters had to take a star of the food as there was no pineapple and ham pizza. Lovely service very friendly atmosphere. Right next to play area so could keep an 👀 on girls. They thought it was great they could get there own and try some new tastes. Ice cream there favourite and my five year old grandaughter gives a big thumbs up for the mash potato. My son was happy and very full. And l didn't have to cook which was a bonus, will be back again. Considering the price & the fact that it's buffet food is plentiful, staff helpful. Food was hot & good variety.

I had a minor health issue just after we arrived and I informed the staff immediately. They were very prompt in offering assistance and I appreciated the effort the staff went to in educating each other in order to assist next time. I'll definitely come back, and I am very grateful for the experienced staff, thank you

Terrible service at the Function room in Ferntree Gully hotel. I had my daughter’s 20th birthday party at the venue on Saturday 3/2/2024 We arrived at 6.30pm & the staff were still setting up the function room. Obviously they started late as the party was supposed to commence at 7pm. The staff were setting up the smokers area at the back porch of the venue where one of the door was open which eventually led to a few flies in the venue. They had set up a balloon arch but had forgotten to place Happy Birthday banner on it. There were food platters served without any plates or napkins. We are spending substantial amount of money to eat food on plates & not on napkins. I even had to grab some glasses for drinks which were kept in the bar instead on guest tables. The platters were served by the staff once & not frequently which led to a lot of wastage. The service was at a minimum. I did make a formal complaint to the manager & ask for some sort of compensation but it was denied. He told me that he will review my feedback with his staff and management team for successful future functions. That’s not good enough. They have lost a customer for good.

Decent hotel. Frequent here to play pool and have some lunch. Staff are lovely. Toilets always very clean. 2 x pool tables available. Many tables for dining / lunch. Food is tasty and affordable. Can also book for the buffet upstairs. Pokies on site also

It's very ordinary....for the price. The play area needs cleaning ..the layout is good and staff friendly. I had the roast which we couldn't eat ..very cheap and chewy

Had the ‘feast’ for a ladies lunch out. Perfect. Plenty to choose from and nicely presented. Drinks reasonably priced too. Very good value lunch. Give it a go.

Been a few times, last visit was extremely down hill. Desserts were minimal, things filled slowly or overcooked. First started going it was a bit, not sure I want to go back after the last visit.

Had a nice time at Feast. Food was all very nice, plenty of variety and fresh. Staff cleared away plates quickly. Would definitely go again.

It was a great meal, friendly, helpful staff . We did find the dining room very busy and tables were pretty close to one another so negotiating your way around was challenging. We found it very noisy so that conversation was prohibitive. Lots of people enjoying lunch. We certainly did.

Great seniors lunch, all you can eat buffet. Easy access to the pub, lots of parking. Reasonably quiet so you can have a conversation. My wife paid, she said it was good.

I joined friends for a lunch and the food was far above what we expected. Great roast, an Asian, salad, seafood and dessert bar. Each element was surprisingly good.

Ahh well , staff were lovely and great atmosphere. But not much to say about the Christmas Buffet Lunch. Especially at $100 for adults & $35 kid's under 12.. so not worth it. I would imagine that the bistro has more appetising fare.. oh but the fruit & vegetables carving was out of this world. Very cool 🥰🥰🤗🤗

Cold beer and good service, typical ALH (Endeavour Group) pub. Food on 3 occasions was pretty good, a bit overpriced for what it was. Took friends to the Feast buffet one night and food choice, quality and value was excellent there.

Great meals but could be a bit cheaper. The trays get picked over very quickly, leaving only half the contents. Carvery always busy doing other things. So much waste with utensil covers and napkin for every set.

Came here on a Monday night, sports bar was very quiet (only 4 others in here). Waited half an hour before we checked where our 4 starters were - response was the chef was very busy upstairs. Ended up waiting 45 mins for a few items. Also ordered a jug of water and 3 cups which I did have to go up to the bar and remind the staff again for because they had forgot. Refunded our money in the end but not worth the wait at all. Would not recommend the ferntree gully hotel.

My daughter's 21st was held in 'the Middle ' function room last weekend. The finger food selection and quality was outstanding. Donna and Jacqui went above and beyond with the service, decorating and attention to detail, right down to finding rose gold balloons. The bar and wait staff were very professional, including making sure our guests with dietary requirements received food from the special platters we ordered. Our guests raved about the venue and indicating they would make future bookings. We had such a fabulous, stress free evening, I strongly recommend you book your next event here!

Absolutely fantastic for a short stay. The lady at reception excellent customer service, she was so helpful. The rooms have been updated including the beds . Pristine and breaky packs. Discounts for the hotel were wonderful. We will be staying again. Very impressed and the accommodation has really been stepped up from what was previously.

I visited Ferntree Gully Hotel with a group of ladies to attend 'Morning Melodies' and enjoy a buffet lunch after the entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed the total experience. The entertainment was fun and the food was plentiful, fresh, full of variety and well presented. Excellent value.

It's like a reinvention of smorgys without the theme. It's not great food, but it's good food. Nice, easy, relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, with everything else in this forsaken country, prices are about to rise as well. So my every month will now be every 3 months.

The staff are very friendly and the chefs were very knowledgeable about ingredients for people with allergies. There isn't a lot of food which suits our child with dairy and egg allergies unfortunately but everyone else thoroughly enjoyed it. Well priced for a big meal. I particularly liked the other pork sliders, the lasagna, seafood salad and fresh donuts.

I went there on Monday for dinner with my family. They were busy but still service was very good. I asked the chef for help regarding the gluten free food. Chef was very helpful and food was very nice and fresh.All the chef continuing fill the buffet and I tried the oven baked pasta it was delicious.

Have frequented Feast buffet for several years. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food options are plentiful. We usually see familiar patrons at the buffet, and have introduced family and friends to the venue. Hoping though for more changes on the menu, such as to the salad bar, or a different hot meal or two, suggest maybe a Mexican style dish?

Eat anywhere else! Waited ages to be seated, then waited ages to get a drink. How can a self serve buffet manage to be short staffed front of house?? Food was luke warm and obviously sitting under heat lamps a long time and almost entirely convenience products, carving station was empty, roast potatoes only cooked on the outside, raw inside, dessert section was mostly empty and a huge mess, the silverware was empty. The place obviously needs a manager as it seems leadership is what the place is truly lacking.

There was a great variety of food which was extremely well presented and very tasty. Our server CharlotteN was friendly, professional and had a good work ethic. She was very welcoming to patrons. The tables were cleared of crockery after each course was finished unobtrusively. A very enjoyable experience.

"Don't judge a book by its cover". The room was recently renovated, new robe, paint, bathroom, lighting, everything was very good. The linen was excellent, very comfy bed. The staff were fantastic, helpful, pleasant. I'm going to stay there again for sure.
