This place has really gone downhill, it used to be good but the Manager is not likeable at all and since he has been there it has changed for the worse, I think his name is Wayne. I thought we would give it another try after a 2 year break but, with the exception of Margaret, who is lovely, it was awful. I was with 3 others but I was the only one to order a Seniors meal which was Lambs Fry and everyone at the table could not believe how bad it was. I got two small pieces no bigger than about 4 cm x 4cm and it was just mush. Give this place a wide berth

We have been twice in the past week and our experience was excellent. The food was served promptly and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The grandkids and the adults loved the Halloween theme and the effort put into this display is to be commended. Great family friendly bistro with a good selection of dishes at a reasonable price.

Came for steak night. Was pleasantly surprised, medium was cooked well, not over or under but was a bit charred. Brilliant value with the chips and salad and sauce. The seniors menu is light on- a few fish fillets, and the garlic and cheese bread was small. Priciest things on the menu are drinks. My jaw dropped for the jug prices of softdrink and beer. I've been to a few RSL's. And would say this one is one of the best yet. The memorabilia cabinets had some fantastic treasures. Reminding us of the reason for the place.

I visited the Ringwood RSL for my birthday. It was quite a mixed feeling during the visit as one of machine wasn't working, lady in reception attempt her best to serve all customers by herself. I managed to get the membership, it took sometime for me to take a seat and ordering food experience wasn't really great as staff in the bar/order taker wasn't friendly but rather bit of way state what do you want. Food we ordered alright but a small hair found while we slice the parma. we managed to receive a replacement but it was after manager denied that they had no staff with short hair and perhaps it's hair from chicken we were told. I tried to keep in a positive mood as possible with kids so I haven't thought to put review but I would like to pass the message to management to improve service for the future.

Went to play drag bingo. What a fantastic night we had and the hosts were incredible. So much fun. Next time though I won't bother ordering food, I'll eat somewhere else before hand.

Great takeaway service and the garlic prawns are divine. The saffron rice was packed separately to the prawns, so it wasn't a sloppy mess when collected. The saffron rice is perfect and light and fluffy, and the garlic prawns are yummy and very generous with 10 prawns. The chef clearly takes pride in their work. Beautiful dish and friendly service. Thanks to Cheryl for taking the phone order with a smile and great service.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place, a friendly and warm environment with some wonderful staff. The tapas style entrees are varied and very tasty. The calamari was A1. I had the hot burger and they were happy to change out the chips to sweet potato. This burger blew my mind and I would definitely come back just for this. My girlfriend had the steak sandwich and also was super happy. I can't wait for my next visit.

Staff were friendly & accommodating but that couldn't make up for the underwhelming food. The chicken parma's were overcooked & dried out. The calamari was rubbery in some parts & under cooked in others. One of our kids meals came with a piece of plastic inside it, that my child found mid mouthful. We were refunded for that meal. It's a shame that the kitchen let the bistro down because the Halloween atmosphere was awesome.

Dined for dinner. I had the Thai beef salad which was good & hubby had the pork parma & said that was good too. I love enjoying some cocktails when I go out but they didn't do them here so that's definitely the one recommendation I have, add a few classic cocktails to your bar/drinks menu. Service friendly.

Went for a 60th birthday thoroughly enjoyed it staff was wonderful food was great couldn't fault it highly recommended

Staff were super friendly, venue was tidy. Group of 10, and they managed to serve all food at the same time, fresh & hot. I had an "OK" steak slapped on a plate, with a TINY amount of chips & salad, $40-45! Zero presentation (like older photos show).

We tried the $10 burger special on Monday and it was really nice, there a a range to choose from. Very friendly staff and the food comes out very quick. Good play area for the kids

Fantastic Burrito Bowl Today for lunch I ordered the Barramundi Buritto Bowl - A good serve of grilled barramundi on top of a lovely serve of rice, tomato salsa, charred corn, black beans with avocado and sour cream ($26). Highly recommend this burrito bowl - delicious.

This is a great place to have family lunches and dinners. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food quality is very good, the variety is very good, the sizes of the meals are "large", and the ambience quite nice. Prices are very reasonable. Have a playground to the kids. Love the effort they go with on decorating for special occasions like Halloween and Christmas

We had dinner for 6 and it was a great night. Food was all good and the staff were so lovely. We missed ordering 2 dishes (our mistake) but the staff were on to it and had them to us quickly so the 2 were not eating after others finished. It's such a comfortable, friendly atmosphere there and with plenty of space around. One of our group is in a wheelchair and there was enough space to move around easily. Steaks were huge & the desserts were so yummy with lots of choice. We live in Central Vic but will be back again next time we visit Ringwood area.

Poor service, waitress was rude and said complain to management, had 2 80+ seniors who could not purchase a seniors meals on a Sunday so meals went to waste, main people there were seniors so why no seniors meals on weekends? Verges were raw, table service was slow and rude! Will not be back. Very disappointed!!! Waste of money after driving 2 hours

Went to watch an afternoon of jazz at this venue. Everyone is so cheerful and caring. Despite my coming after the kitchen closed they did me a lunch of fish and chips. Says it all. And yes the jazz band and the singer Hans Dezilwa were brilliant

Went to the Wednesday steak night. Had a 400 gram rump steak with chips and salad for only $20. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare and was pleasantly surprised when it was cooked perfectly to my liking without any gristle. First time I've been there, certainly won't be the last.

First time here and I won’t be back, decided to take my 4 yr old son out for dinner as a treat and chose here for the playground. I had the honey mustard chicken it was bland, watery and cold, my son had the fish and chips which he refused to eat. After trying his fish I almost threw up Worst food I’ve ever eaten and not a welcoming venue. Meals and drinks (an apple juice and a jack n coke) costed $60 for me and my 4 yr old definitely not worth it I don’t recommend

Ringwood RSL is one of the big 3 RSL's in Melbourne. There is plenty of parking and easy access for disabled patrons. Inside it is modern with an excellent restaurant and private function areas. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. There is an excellent variety of on tap beer, wine and spirits. Overall it in s great place to visit for a meal or a drink. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed lunch at Ringwood RSL. We were there for an afternoon jazz concert and had lunch before the show. The menu is well structured to suit everyone's tastes, and the staff and service are first class. Our meal portions were large and they have takeaway containers available for uneaten portions. Well recommended.

The food was really good. Medium steak was cooked to perfection. The Dean’s burger also should be tried. The spicy sauce was really good. The middle eastern Shawarma was a good choice. Thanks chef.

Great place to catch up with friends. Unfortunately the meals were all mixed up between 3 tables despite table no. The Wirk experience boys did a great job.

Well cooked food. Wednesday $20 steak night is great value. Can't beat it. Big 400g size better than other places offering for +$30 Has a couple of beers on tap, and a good can of Guinness from the fridge always a favourite. Playroom keeps the kids entertained

went to the rsl for dinner, to celebrate a family birthday, food prices are very reasonable, wait times where really good. ordered a parma, the chicken crumbing was very moist, like it had been dipped in water, the chicken was dry though, and cold. chips on the other hand where really good!

Food is delicious. The chicken schnitzel is HUGE!!!!!!!! I couldn't finish it. I was very impressed. Had the calamari last time and that was delicious too. Very well priced as well, especially if you're a member. The $20 a year you pay for the membership is far less than the amount of money you get off a meal or drinks if you're a regular. Great atmosphere, never any trouble with patrons. All friendly staff too.

Not sure if there has been a change in chefs but the food quality has improved drastically over the last couple of months. Incredible food, worth the price. The perfect service is just the added bonus. 100% would recommend to everyone.

We went for Anzac day & will not return. The meals were precooked & heated up. The food tasted very bland, was not hot & had a poor presentation. The service was friendly & efficient. It had a small but informative collection of war memorabilia.

We, as a group of Local Whitehorse District Retired Scout Leaders, meet up every second month for dinner at the Ringwood RSL. We enjoy getting together and enjoy our meal. The good ladies in the Bistro who look after us are very pleasant; this adds to our enjoyment each evening. A group of us also meet for lunch as well.

By far the best club in the area !! Easy car park to navigate with the entrance notion a main road . Upon entering we were greeted with friendly staff who it seemed couldn't do enough for us. Friendly bar staff with snacks on the bar ... Awesome!! Pokie's were fun and even they played unusually fairly. Did not have enough time for a meal but they looked good ! We will be back

Dated interior but food was good and a reasonable price but still using members and seniors discount cheapest main was $16 with a $4 coffee so 20. Good service and happy staff. For a filling meal good value. Had a good crowd of older locals who clearly meet here regularly. Hope it stays.

Friendly staff, value for money.

We both had seniors 200 gm rump steak (despite it being Tuesday Parma night). Some of the best steak we have had for ages. No fat at all and beautifully cooked. Staff were very friendly and we could not have been happier with food and service.

Disappointing. Not very welcoming or friendly staff at entrance. Ordered rump steak (no steak knife?) and "calamari & tempura prawns" which was just calamari with overdressed salad, both overpriced. Unable to locate baby change facility. Lady running the bistro was lovely though.
