Live music, love the atmosphere and ambience, went during the day. Food was tasteful and fulfilling. Customer service was magnificent. Never knew this place existed...... Really a hidden "Retreat" in picturesque natural Belgrave; great place to just relax enjoy food, drinks and music. Has indoor and outdoor seating (smoking area outside!). Had the beef burger and a strawberry cocktail. Yum :)

I did not enjoy my experience here last week. Low quality food, there was a piece of container plastic in my nachos. That cut the inside of my mouth (i understand accidents happen). The wait staff were lovely and made my meal free. No apologies from the manager. For $20 cocktails each there was no excitement in the drinks we ordered, just a blue colour rushed into a glass. Anxious staff, with boss man yelling at the new waitress every 5 minutes in front of diners. As it was quiet, we were asked if we needed anything else a total of 10x. Which made my group feel uncomfortable, as i felt they wanted to rush us out before the gig started. I booked a week in advance and we were placed in such an awful busy spot by the door. I'm a local, and i won't be rushing back here.... as the manager does not even listen to constructive feedback on Google reviews. Poor form Sooki Lounge.

I had high hopes for my dining experience at Sooki Lounge. The atmosphere was lively, with a bustling crowd and a cozy outdoor seating area. However, my excitement quickly dissipated when I received my order of duck risotto. Now, I must clarify that I ordered the main dish size of duck risotto, as I simply can't resist the delicious taste of duck. Unfortunately, my anticipation turned into disappointment when I discovered that the portion of risotto was served on the same size plate as the small entrees. It was nowhere near enough food to satisfy the hunger of a lonely seagull named Eldrick. They only have 4 mains on the menu and this being one of them was entree sized. To make matters worse, the risotto was under seasoned. I longed for a hint of salt and pepper to enhance the flavors, but there was none available in the outside area, and nobody offered any when they brought the dish. It left me with a bland and lackluster taste, which was quite disheartening considering my love for well-seasoned meals. While my disappointment was mostly centered around my own order, I observed that everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. However, there was some confusion and messiness when it came to paying the bill due to the staff combining tables. It made the whole process unnecessarily complicated, and I couldn't help but feel a bit perplexed by the chaos. Despite these shortcomings, I have to acknowledge that the ambiance of Sooki Lounge was delightful, and the other patrons seemed to have a pleasant dining experience. It's possible that my situation was an exception rather than the norm, and that the bar generally offers satisfying meals and efficient service. In conclusion, while Sooki Lounge had a lively atmosphere and the potential for a great dining experience, my personal encounter left much to be desired. The insufficient portion size, under seasoned dish, and the confusion with paying the bill left me feeling unsatisfied. Perhaps I'll have to look elsewhere for my next culinary adventure and hope for a more fulfilling experience.

Really dissapointed with the way I was spoken to last Saturday evening by the manager. Only wanted to find out about a particular dish with dietary requirements. Was also rude to my partner, and put the phone down on her. Totally unnecessary.

First time having dinner here - nice ambience, great service, yummy cocktails, food is well-priced for the serving size. My friend and I shared the nachos which were a great starter, she ordered the tacos which she said were really tasty and I had the lasagna. Majority of the menu is vegetarian/vegan which made ordering a breeze. The outdoor area is spacious and welcoming. The music as we were leaving was very good and the place was filling up with the young locals. Will definitely visit again!

Great food and drink. The service can be a little slow at busy times but best to avoid the Friday and Saturday late nights anyway, unless that's your thing!

Great night at the Sooki Lounge. They hosted the legends from Hawthorn and Essendon Football clubs. Nice venue to host the event. The food was really nice. Enjoyed the Texi Burger while watching the entertainment. The beer was served nice and cold. Nice small place to host an event.

Karaoke nights on Wednesday's the best. The DJ Lachie is the most adorable person you'll ever meet... I love him....and this guy on the video I posted ha e the best voice

Went to Sooki lounge to se Qendy Matthews. Cool bar, lo Ed the attention to detail in the entries design. Cool hip staff of all ages, super friendly day and gave excellent service. Highly recommend a night our to a live music night here. Check out there up cong tours, because there is some awesome gigs upcoming. I'll be back this year for Harry manx gig

Went to Sooki to see Darlinghurst and for some food before. Venue has character, from the front restaurant area around to the band room, heading to the downstairs intimate club lounge with DJ in a corner universe the bar, and the outside Jungle room area complete with wildlife that wonders in. The food we had was tasty but with a fair bit of salt in the burgers, Mexican Snitz was good and had kick! Band area was great and easy to be close to the action.

This place is a real gem . Live music, great food and amazing cocktails. It has lots of room for all your friends and a great atmosphere.

We went for a quick dinner at the Sooki Lounge just before catching a movie at the Cameo cinema in Belgrave. Good food and great atmosphere. We instantly loved the antique decor and the nostalgic vibe. If you are visiting the hills this is a great place to chill on a cold winter day and try their interesting menu or have a cocktail at the bar and let this place take you back in time.

Don't love, don't hate. Go on the Saturday nights when it's more a club and the music is always great but improvements need to be done. Way too many people are allowed in, to a point where you cannot move and are touching people no matter, especially outside and upstairs. The toilet situation is also not it, not enough toilets and the layout for them is ridiculous. There is always a 15 min wait at least and you're waiting in a stair case blocking people from moving. Upstairs cooling also needs to be improved. Considering there is no cap for attendees, upstairs gets so busy and way too hot- it's like a hot box! Fans need to be installed or air conditioners on walls. It is the worst at the front as most want to be near the stage but you're constantly feeling like you're going to pass out and that is unsafe. Overall is a good venue and so much more potential, just a few changes need to be made.

Always loved this place! Great live music, good food with vegan options, plenty of drink variety and friendly staff who seem to handle even the busiest nights with grace. A gem of the hills. It wouldn't be Belgrave without Sookie's.

Nice lounge for chillout , often get singers host for nice evening, good food and best services, every staff work so hard to make customers happy! Some days karaoke nite that was fun! Great place

My partner & I came here on a whim after celebrating our 11 year anniversary roaming the Dandenongs and everything was perfect :) The staff were attentive, quick kind and very accomodating. The atmosphere in the courtyard was so cozy on a rainy day under the heaters, clean and cute quirky decor. We had the gnocchi, nachos, tacos and corn cobs, all of which were delicious and well presented. Came out fast too. I had one of the house created cocktails which was a fun twist on a spicy margarita called the ‘Northside Refugee’. Special thanks for fresh lime it makes such a difference. All very reasonably priced too! It was a lovely way to end the day, thank you. We’ll be back :)

We walked past this place so many times and with other cafes closing at 4pm we decided to give it a shot and we’re so glad we did. Food was simply delicious and fresh, the chicken burger was amazing, that seasoning! Yum! The drinks were fabulous, especially the mulled wine. Staff and manager were super friendly. We will be back.

I do not understand the Photo ID scanner at Sooki Lounge Belgrave , The Bouncer at the door said every pub has them which is a lie , And its seems odd No QR code upon entry and not one person had to show the bouncer a fully vaccinated proof upon entry if your so worried about Photo ID scanning why is showing fully vaccinated proof a non issue ??? Sooki Lounge you could get a Huge fine for not following the rules ... It was a Good atmosphere and good staff inside apart from one guy yelling at young girls on the dance floor making people feel real uncomfortable not one bouncer said boo to him.. Sooki Lounge Belgrave It's always a good practice to drink responsibly around strangers The guy was clearly a creep both bouncer's should be stood down

Good place to go for a night out in the locality of Belgrave Victoria. Easy access to transport both public and private, car parks is easy. It is mainly for young crowd, now and again they have local bands playing to cater for both age groups.

Awesome venue, come here often. Staff are always very friendly and helpful with drink selections. However disappointed with one instance how the manager treated staff. Was going to a gig, a girl at the front door was stamping, manager came out mad, told her to be wristbanding instead. Went out came back and SLAMMED the wrists bands in front of her. Poor girl was apologising for his behaviour. Such a shame the lovely staff have a manager like that...

Stopped by to see a live show, the place is quirky and has a warm atmosphere. Their drinks menu is extensive and their cocktails are tasty.

We really enjoyed our time at Sooki Lounge. We had the shared fiesta, the corn was something different and very enjoyable. The nachos had a unique and tasty flavour and the chips were spiced with a zesty seasoning. All very delicious! I also had a different cocktail and tried Fear and Loathing with mezcal. I really loved the flavour of this drink!

Great atmosphere, can take a min to pick up but worth it. I was there alone and felt very safe and comfortable with the security and staff (including owner) all over the floor 😀 ✌🏼. People were open and fun, lots of dancing💃🏼 and live💄👠 music 🎶 which you just don't see any more, and reasonably priced drinks and good 🍸 drinks at that. Worth the travel, will be back for sure 💋🎶💃🏼✌🏼💄

Sooki Lounge has a great atmosphere during the day, The staff are lovely l, great selection on cocktails, beers, wine & spirits. Unfortunately I wasn’t a huge fan of the food, tried their Mexican parmigiana, it was a little spicy for me, prices were a bit steep for quality of the food, I believe the venue has great potential ahead of them, they just need to find it

I hosted a party of 17 for the "Back to the 80's" night yesterday evening. Everyone enjoyed the food and had a good time on the dance floor💃💃🕺🕺 The service was prompt and helpful. A great bar and a staple part of Belgrave and the musical spirit of the Hills. A wonderful atmosphere where you can go play and get close and personal with local and international musicians.

Very busy.. went here on the 21st Dec.. this place was packed, were playing like.. jazz or something..? Not my music, but still.. the people were good, no problems with the people here, The security guard was tiny, probably knows his stuff, but my mate would have rolled on him in his sleep and suffocated him. But while we were there, no issues, was a fun night, really enjoyed ourselves, I think the owner was there, as he walked up to us personally and called shots off, so it was sort of a disappointment, mind you, at the time it was pretty late.. But all in all was a good night, there's a large outdoor smoking area which was overcrowded. No pokies, just drinks, dancefloor and smokers area.. good job to the workers with keeping up with the drinks, heading to the bar was a breeze and usually U got to order instantly or U had to wait for 1 order.. they did well.. Cheers to Sookie's for the smooth sailing 👌

Went for the live show ( RUSSEL Morris) which was fantastic, bar staff excellent however drinks seemed expensive....but I haven't been to a live show at a venue like that for over 10 years. ...the atmosphere was intimate and fun....highly recommended.

A Belgrave highlight. We had seen that there was a big crowd for dinner Saturday night and thought we should check it out in the morning. This place did not disappoint. Food was delicious, servers were very welcoming and genuine and the atmosphere of the place speaks for itself.

Stumbled across this place by chance.. wow are we glad we didn’t walk past it!. Blown away by the quality of the food here.. the dishes here are outstanding.. we had no expectations at all prior just looking for a quick eat but we got way more than that!, definitely will come back, great ambience and vibe inside also very relaxed and comfortable.. we will come back for sure. And I’ll order that chocolate brownie again also! Nice.

Clean and amazing staff!

So, we went here for my birthday dinner and drinks and stayed for karaoke. We were served by the lovely Tia (who we found out later was a trainee, but we never would have guessed!), And she served with warmth and hospitality. Food was delicious, we had pulled pork tacos, polenta chips and a chicken burger with kimchi slaw. Everyone who greeted us at our table or who bought us drinks was happy and helpful. The bar was busy and thus drinks took a smidge longer than expected, but when they arrived we were greeted with beautifully presented cocktails, and served with a smile. As the night wore on, we moved inside and set up a tab. Staff were understanding and easy to deal with (no issues with drinks being made), and we enjoyed watching karaoke. The karaoke staff were lovely and warm, asking us to join (which we declined) and they continued on their night dancing and helping build the atmosphere. All in all I can 100% recommend heading to Sooki lounge for a great meal, and if you so choose some delicious cocktails. Hats off to Tia who took every request in her stride, and made an effort to make us feel welcome and at home, she is a warm and welcoming young lady with a great pizzazz. Highly recommended the whole venue, drinks, food, staff and entertainment.

My friends and I came here after a day of hiking on our trip out of Melbourne to celebrate the end of lockdown. We didn't make it in time to try the food, but I can definitely attest for the drinks and atmosphere. All our drinks were great (beer, cocktails, & cider). They had plenty of local craft beers. cocktails that'll make you drool on the menu, and terrific service. The atmosphere was perhaps the most outstanding aspect of the place. Inside it's decked out like a modern fusion of New Orleans and the outside beer garden was a perfect place to enjoy the night air with ample lighting and seating. I can hardly wait for the live music to start up again so I can experience the wild side of this freakishly awesome spot. Thanks guys!

Dropped in for lunch on Sunday. Started with coffee which was very ordinary and unpleasant (below good standard coffee). Ordered chips which came with tomato sauce and mayo which I must admit were very tasty but the chorizo risotto for main tasted like awful muck. So over peppered, too much salt and the overall taste was one of the worst meals I've ever attempted to eat. Couldn't even finish a quarter of it as it was so revolting. The waiting staff were very nice and pleasant but the chef needs to know how to cook because my meal was really awful. Maybe I copped a bad day there but that was enough for me and too pricey for the "quality" in my opinion. First and last time unfortunately Sooki Lounge.

The worst food I’ve ever experienced anywhere. Ordered Nachos via Uber Eats. Waited 1 hour 40 min. The food that arrived was cold, dry slop. I wouldn’t feed it to my dogs. Avoid this cheap house at all costs - disgusting all round!
