We ordered on a Sunday evening via Uber eats. Delivery was quick and on time. But the food was poor. The Mexican Parma was not cooked properly, had blood in it. The egg on the Nasi Goreng was black on the bottom and like rubber. Will not be eating there again!!

I have been here on a few work occasions for lunch and drinks, the staff is friendly and efficient. Located on Maroondah Highway Ringwood near the freeway entrance, there is plenty of parking in the back and also outdoor seating options as well. The crowd there are mainly local tradies, and business owners who are regular patrons, but also good for lunch catch ups, work functions and the meals are well sized and priced.

Upon entry I checked in using the app in front of the desk. I was then railed over where my mask was. I informed the lady we were exempt. She tried to tell me it was their policy. Sorry I am exempt, your policy is irrelevant. I told her why we were medically exempt, not something I'm required to do, even if stopped by the police. Then I told her we were sitting outside anyway, then we were "allowed" to enter. We were moved to an outside area where we were completely alone. It was good as we were in the sun and it was pleasant. Only then to be moved somewhere in the shade. Again we were the only people in the outside area, but needed to be on another table. We then had to ask for menu's as we were in no man's land without any direction and when finally after prompting service were told that we were not to enter the establishment to order etc. Sorry coach, you need to go back and read the definition of "hospitality". I'll never return and feel very strongly about what it means to have proper service. I suggest anyone considering this place to go somewhere else.

Food and variety were good. Unfortunately, I was not happy with the service. At a group function, i was second to order my meal and had to ask kitchen staff twice when it was coming out. It finally came out after everyone had well and truly finished and were looking to leave. No apologies from staff and no acknowledgement of their mistake. This is the second function I have been to at this venue where there has been issues. I am not at all keen to return.

Very pleasantly surprised with the Coach. We haven’t been there for years. It’s certainly had a “makeover” since then. Very bright open areas ( lounge/bistro Etc) Good menu, with plenty of variety on offer. We had the Atlantic Salmon and “roast of the day”. Both very enjoyable. Will definitely be returning soon.

Took photos for a party here great venue up the stairs. Beautiful big windows. Only problem was at night gets very dark when they turn the lights off for the dj dance party. Would have worked better if they kept the lights on near the entrance and only turned the lights off on the dance floor.

We had a good night, although on arrival the waitress couldn't find our booking for 20!! So that was a bit of a hold up, quite a long wait to order meals, and didn't seem to have enough staff..... the lady who took our order was quite abrupt and quite stressed. But all the younger staff who I spoke with about food etc with happy, bright and cheery young ladies. Grandchildren had a great time, and it was great that no one tried to rush us out 😊

It is so disappointing that the venue function managers are both not well trained about how to deal with their loyal/regular customers and also not being fully aware of the reason and purpose of advance booking and deposit payment, which put me in a position to be embarrassed in front of my group of people and friends!!! Foods are great but...

Food very standard. Had roast turkey. Spuds weren’t cooked properly. The turkey tasted like rolled turkey. Definitely wasn’t off the bone. Hubby had parma which he said wasnt that good and daughter had mushroom and chicken risotto and she only ate half of it. It took over an hour to get our meal and it wasn’t that busy. I wouldn’t eat there again.

This has been a staple venue for a while. Easy access from freeways, and plenty of parking. Staff are friendly, happy and efficient. We love the relaxed atmosphere in the ‘lounge’ area, where it’s not usually so noisy. Great food and service. Highly recommended 😃

Super expensive for the quality of the food. Burgers were $29! Just burgers and chips, nothing else. Roast of the day was pretty tasteless. Lamb shanks were tasty, but also expensive. Burgers could drop to $20 which would be a little more acceptable. Service was great, and staff were very polite and attentive.

Hands down best calamari in the area and that sauce is soooo goood. Food here is tasty and a reasonable price.

The Coach ( formerly the Coach & Horses) has had a big renovation and upgrade, creating a much nicer bistro atmosphere for dining. Seating was comfortable and much improved and the range of cakes is always great. My friends enjoyed their seafood lunch dishes however my breakfast Parma was only ok- the chips were the tasty highlight of the dish. Now, I just wish they would bring back Trivia nights!!

Been here twice in the last week, once for a work do, and yesterday for a first date meet up. Was nice and quiet, able to chat freely. Staff were lovely, although I think they knew it was a first date lol. I liked it here, drinks great but didn't get food. The food we had for the work do was amazing... Highly recommend the calamari. Not a bad place to go for a drink or two.

Inflated drink prices but the gaming staff are probably the best I've come across.

It’s great they’ve done the place up but perhaps spend the money on getting a great Chef in. Went for lunch on 1/11/23 and surprised how many people were there. Not enough staff members in attendance, queues for drinks and to order. The food took forever to come out and it was just ordinary. Cold overcooked chips and an average Parma. Pick up your game people. Won’t be back in a hurry

Large tasty meals, good service. No atmosphere for a sports bar at all. If you want a good feed yes but not a place to watch the footy

Atmosphere was good, the look of the bar and bistro is nice (could possibly do with some sound dreading in bistro as gets quick noisy). I ordered the Big Boy burger and didn't like it. The burger patties were not great, was like a compress chunk of beek, didn't taste like ground beef. Others in our group had pizza and parmas and advise they were good.

Having Coeliac’s Disease, I was able to have choices as they have an understanding of food prep! So, I went straight for the fish & chips! YUM! Would be nice to be paired with a gluten free beer, but wonderful experience nonetheless!

Lovely food. Nice find in Ringwood. Chicken Neptune was well cooked. Seafood was spot on. Generous serving size. Meat Lovers Bolognese Parma was also good. Veal was good. Food was good all round!

The Coach is a great place to get a parma. They have so many flavour options but can't go past the classic. They are a bit pricier than other places but it's definitely worth the money. Parma are so jucy and sauce full of flavour. Chips are perfectly seasoned and crips, slaw had a bit too much mayo but otherwise was perfect. Definitely will continue to come back as the service and food here is always immaculate. (also bonus points for not putting the Parma on top of the chips) Food 9/10 Service 10/10 Location 5/10 Price 7/10

Delicious food and massive size! I had the chicken neptune and my husband had the parma. There are many different flavours of Parma. Well worth the money. Got a play area for kids so the adults can enjoy their night. Quite busy but the food came out fast. Would go again!

Dined for dinner. We shared the halloumi sticks for entree & I had the grilled barramundi special for main. Hubby had a parma. We both enjoyed all the food. I also had a margarita cocktail which was great. Service friendly. Will return to try other menu items.

Was catered very well for a high school reunion, great food and plenty of it in the function room.

The Coach family friendly atmosphere and spacious, great service and serving size of food is generous! Grabbed duck spring rolls for entree’s, suppose to have 4 spring rolls but I wasn’t quick enough with the camera! Mains ordered pasta pescatore, chicken schnitzel, rib eye and fish of the day Barramundi. Food came out quick, all our food were great just slightly missing seasoning. The fries were crispy and very tasty. Dessert raspberry heart - great to end on a high. Red wine - Penfold Koonunga The coach is kids friendly, as they’ve a play area. Overall great place, will definitely be back.

Have had some great meals here. Pickup some meals tonight in lockdown and there was something missing. Called them to let them know not expecting heaps, but they delivered our extra item as well as some extra desserts. Was greatly appreciated, service was awesome.

We had a chicken mushroom risotto and a Chili Prawn linguine. Both dishes were very nice. We ordered online from the table which was one of their covid options. The food was a bit slow in coming out, otherwise I would've rated it 5 stars. We ended up ordering a coffee and a cake whilst waiting for dinner, the mars bar cake was delicious.

The new menu is good and doesn't have too many items on it. Yesterday I had the big boy burger. Very large meal. I couldn't quite finish the chips. Burger was cooked very well and was still a little pink. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

A surprising find. We hadnt been at this venue since it had been a hotel. The dining area was huge. Staff were friendly and food delicious. I enjoyed the chicken and mushroom risotto while my husband ordered the seniors steak which was amazing. He stated that it was the best steak that he had eaten in a long time. It was tender and full of flavour.

Nice modern feel to the restaurant, decent size menu too. Decided to try a couple of cocktails as they were very reasonably priced! The raspberry mojito was a interesting twist to a classic, but it was a bit too strong for my taste. Fruit tingle was very good though, not too sweet which they often are.

Visited to find a venue suitable for our family function. Looks great with good seating but not overcrowded. A variety of beers on tap and a good wine list. Haven't had a meal yet so 4 stars.

Only giving a 5 for 2 reasons. 1 to hopefully get a response, 2 owning a business I understand how important ratings are but seriously? In 2022 we had to get a Uber from Your pub to another for the simple fact you don’t have fox footy? What kind of pub doesn’t have fox footy It’s actually a elite establishment now. Staff were great But how in gods name don’t you have fox sports Seriously … work it out

This place has multiple function rooms, pleasant atmosphere and polite staff. Dishes were a little pricey. There were few choices with coffees but l would not hesitate to visit again following my positive experience. A good place for celebratory lunch or dinner.

We had a function upstairs, great room, the food was fantastic, platters are highly recommended. Lovely staff. Many thanks especially to Emma, Rhi and Erica for looking after us! Compliments to chefs Danny and Jack/Megan 😉

Booked a table for 6 for dinner, for there and the guy at reception didn't even ask for the booking name and just assumed we were with another group. Went to the table and it was full. Went back to the reception and said my booking name and was then given a table. Dinner came out table wasn't set, had to ask for Cutlery, napkins and glasses and water for the table, all was just dumped on the corner of the table. Food was cold but edible. Bar had 1 person serving and there was a queue. Ordered 2 Lime and mango margaritas but got just margaritas, had to get it redone, barman shook his head lije it was my fault. Customer service needs a big improvement. Management needs to be changed or know what is going on in the restaurant. Also, staff need to put a smile on their dial. Won't be going there again.

Beautiful venue and facilities, however waiting for an hour for the food. When asked was told 'it's busy'. Food arrived overcooked and cold. Temperature in the dining area fluctuated from roasting to freezing leaving me feeling quite nauseated. I understand being short staffed extending wait times but for the time hot fresh food would have been appreciated.

Booked The Coach to watch the footy on ANZAC Day, it was a great experience. They have done a great job with the renovations and the outdoor space has a great TV to watch the footy with mates. Service was super quick with QR codes to order off the phone to make things really easy. Food was decent nothing incredible but a solid pub feed! Overall I think The Coach is going under the radar as a great pub spot.

So excited when I saw the option of plant based schnitzels on the menu. So disappointed when it arrived; basically just a large, squashed veggie patty. And had to pay more even though it wasn't mentioned on the menu. How can a pile of "mashed veg" cost more than chicken? Won't bother again.

Hello, It’s about 3-4 months that am spending time with friends in function room on Sundays 12-5pm and always enjoyed being there. Last Sunday saw unprofessional behaviour and conversation from staff of there with the our group’s organisers and coordinator which truly did not like that! Specially that she did it in-front of few of us outside of building and it was not professional. I hope management of club give attention to this! With all respect

We had a 70th birthday celebration. They gave us our own space, which we weren’t expecting, but were extremely grateful for. Staff were helpful, food came out together & quickly. Thanks for helping to make this a wonderful night
