Great fish n chips

Fancy take on fish and chips. Big portions. Licensed. WARNING: Eating here will give you expectations you never knew were possible of the humble “fish and chips”. After eating here, be prepared to be disappointed when eating fish and chips anywhere else.

Date/time of visit: 27 Jan 2020, 6:30pm (approx) Good mix of food options. Expect a little wait due to its popularity, we waited about 20minutes but that was fine (we didn't phone our order through, just walk ins). The burger with the lot was an honest burger - tastey, filling. I would suggest including an option for adding beetroot and then the burger would be perfect. Fish burger was also good. Fish n chips were a little too salty for me but tasted great when hot and fresh (when cold the chips had a bit of an after taste - don't let them get cold, eat them early). I would go back. A nice decent fish n chip shop.

Yum potato cakes

It's so easy to underestimate a local fish and chip shop but the fish burger here was tasty and well cooked! Great place for a quick bite.

The old owners were great, these guys are even better. Burgers are huge, chicken is cooked perfectly and the chips couldn’t be better. Even the salad was amazing and that’s hard to say about a salad!

This fish and chip shop was very quick, the chips were cooked well, the flake was nice, not big but not small, the grilled was nice. We had the usual things, but everything just seemed fake and pre packaged frozen... Not fresh and home made. I won't eat there again.

Today was our first time to try the place after new owners took over, and will never go back again. We bought $7 chips which looked like minimum $4 ones. The quality wasnt there anymore, and say goodbye to the good portion sizes. The old owners used to have them really fresh and crispy, with long cuts of potatoes. Now it tastes and looks like a bunch of old low cut, cheap variety. So dissapointed. Will never go back.

The food here was absolutely amazing. Fish and chips was cooked perfectly... As a typical Greek I was raised in a fish and chip shop and this place reminded me of when I was a child... Awesome atmosphere and great staff too!

Used to love this place but unfortunately new owners have taken over just recently and its gone down hill. New owner said I owed $7 as he did not count it properly. He got angry because he could not count the order correctly. My partner also witnessed a staff member using the same gloves between cooked and uncooked food. Such a shame as it used to be so good.

:( took about 40 mins when I was told 15. Does not contain all the ingredients advertised. (It’s just lamb and lettuce in bread). So soggy and oily. One of them is burnt. In store a souvlaki is $11. On menulog it’s $17. Considering the menulog fee is 13% it should be $12.43. A bit of a crazy price hike! Not really fair or justified. I’m pretty disappointed with this experience and won’t be back.

Always good food, decent prices

The shop is run by some lovely people, very clean and lots of space (yay for social distancing). Unfortunately though we were really let down by the HSP we purchased (2 of the regular sized, mixed HSP with garlic sauce). The "lamb" was dry and sparse, for a mix you would expect equal of each, but there was an overabundance of chicken and barely any lamb. The chips were hot and crisp, thick cut ones. The chicken was moist and tender, but unfortunately the "garlic sauce" over powered both the taste and texture of almost everything else. Thick, gooey and not overly pleasant, the garlic sauce put us off completely and we ended up throwing out the packs. Disappointing as we really wanted to support the locals and enjoy some delicious meat.

Best it the area always adds extra

This fish and chip shop is one of the Eastern suburbs best kept secret. The faded shop front hides the friendliest staff and the yummiset food. The batter on the fried food is light and crispy. The burgers are great and the value for money is as good as it gets. I can't rave about this place enough. Its worth a drive our of your way.

Gross. I ordered based on reviews and it was a big mistake. Absolutely everything (the flake, the dim sims, the potato cakes and the chips) was extremely dry and overcooked, and the flake had its skin on under the batter. Really unpleasant and a waste of $60. Will not order again.

Great service and friendly staff.

Literally THE best fish and chips, never oily, always cooked and salted perfectly. Bubbly and friendly customer service always. Fish is bought raw frozen fresh and filleted and battered on-site! Great prices and deals.

Best fish n chips I've ever had, will definitely go back! Always good customer service, food is always hot and well seasoned. Best deals I've seen, F n C pack and burger upgrade deal are by far the best!
