My son and I stopped in here for a quick bite as we noticed the $10 burger Thursday offer and we left satisfied and happy. The venue is huge with good dining options inside and out and all heated and undercover. The service was super friendly and attentive 10/10 here. The burgers were perfect and especially for $10. The cheeseburger you would not change a thing, nailed it! The rest of the menu looks great too and we'll try more now after a great experience

The Bavarian Knox O-Zone Visited on 4/8/2021 I am going to improve the ranking from 4 stars to 5 stars, and I want compliment the young lady Emily who provides first class customer service to my friends and I during our latest visit. Today, we order the Ultimate Pork Platter. It is a plateful of crackling pork belly, Nurnberger bratwurst, pork schnitzel, crispy pork belly bao buns, sauerkraut, red cabbage, creamy mash potato, apple compote, German mustard and bier jus. I think a bigger size plate will do more justice to the presentation of such a great collection of meat. The crackling pork belly is cut into two very chunky pieces. The meat portion is very tender. However, the rind still sticks to the fatty portion, which needs to be scrapped off so that the crackling can be enjoyed. For pork fat eater, it is too good to waste.. Nurnberger bratwurst is lean, and goes well with the sauce. In my previous visit, I had chicken schnitzel, which was juicier, tastier and more tender. I believe a little pounding with a meat mallet to tenderise the pork can do miracles. The crispy pork belly bao buns is an east-meets-west concoction. "bao" is a Chinese term for bun, which implies redundancy. The bun is like a steamed pikelete. Unfortunately, the rind is a bit chewy rather than crispy. I hope I can write a more glowing review after my next visit. ______________________________________ The Bavarian Knox O-Zone Visited on 16/6/2021 I contemplate scoring this restaurant with 5 stars, but I am definitely not happy with the incorrect charging and poor resolution of the matter. My friend and I ordered the same menu item, and beverages. He was undercharged but I was just the opposite. After being informed of the discrepancy, the staff notified with her manager, and minutes later she told my wife that in our next visit, she would credit us a drink. Is this a case of numeracy problem, lack of customer service training, orsmart Alec tactic? Wouldn't it easier to reverse the bills and reprocess them through the register again? "I am not happy Jane!" ______________________________________ The Bavarian is running a promotion on the platter menu called Winter Platters for every Wednesday. The special seems like a good discount, but there is a string attached. Each platter is catered for 2, and each has to buy at least a drink. Although the bright midday sun is high in the sky, the temperature was in the mid ten. The Covid restriction has still not lifted fully, and the restaurant and the surrounding competitors are still empty. There is outside seating, but the weather is too cold for our group of 10 to enjoy the sunshine and the special lunch special. Out of 10 people, several of us were in Munich celebrating Oktoberfest in 2019, and we had pork knuckle and a litre of beer at the famous Hofbrau Munchen. Today, one of our main objective is to check out the pork knuckle. The restaurant is German inspired, family friendly modern style pub. The varnished timber furniture can sit 10, and arrange bed in rows. The ambience has a natural and rustic feel. At one end of the restaurant, no entry by patrons, is shelves of beer barrels, stacked to to ceiling high. The meal is nicely presented in an oven plate. There is no unnecessary jazzing up to make it looks more like a piece of artwork, instead of something more enticing to the palate. I I normally do not like schnitzel, but this has been fried well, with golden brown crumb and juicy meat. The pork belly has very crispy crackling, with the right thickness of fat layer baked to melt in the mouth. The pork knuckle is what we come for. However, the meat is overcooked, and the fat and liquid have been rendered out, leaving the toughened muscle fibers. There are four sausages, which are very average tastewise. The Lowenbrau beer contains 5.5% alcohol is crystal clear light yellow colour, easy to drink with no bitter taste. There is no toilet facility within the restaurant. All the traders share the public toilets just round the corner of the premises.

Yay to the Bavarian team. A good place to spend Sunday lunch with quite interesting menu that can gives you a good variety of options. My friends and I ordered a different meals and we all were sutisfaied with. Especially, the apple strudel of the end was just amazing. Honestly, congrats to the Chef for the delusion taste of that dessert as I got free because I found object in. The management react very unprofessional when didn't talk to me about it, but the the waiter was good to apologise of behalf of the kitchen department too and discount one of the 3 desserts that we ordered. The atmosphere is typical German style and I love the spacious room that they have with the garden set up outside too. Well done, team Bavarian!

Great place for a bite and pint. They have a really good happy hour and a small bites menu too. Daily specials are pretty attractive ( like 10 cent wings on Mondays). Will definitely come back.

Love this place! I'm not a local so it takes an extra effort to come over for the yummy food and services. The all you can eat meat platters are fantastic, especially the sticky chicken wings and sausages! Friendly staff especially the young waiter with glasses on 31/5/2023, who greeted us at the door, paying attention to details when I was trying to reorder a particular sausage! (and he got it right when I don't know the name of it). Lovely atmosphere! Parking was a little painful and remember to park near the cinema!

Honestly the food looks good but the taste is bad. Nowhere close to German Pork Knuckle. Pork crackle is not crackling but hard and sticky. The sausages are better at ALDI. I have been to Germany and the food is so much better there. Here it is more like it was taken from a can, especially the sauerkraut - horrible. The chicken wings were ok but 1kg of chicken wings came out tiny like it was wings from a pidgeon. All in all a 2/10. Was an experience but not one i want to experience again. Korean BBQ here i come. Oh btw pricing is really expensive for junk food. Also look at the receipt. They simply charged me for 2kg of wings when i had one. And also the waitress said kids eat free but charged me for that as well. Had to complain to get it fixed.

This place deserves a higher rating, and our visit was proof. There are QR code menus for ordering if you prefer, but the staff were cheerful and came around asking if we had any queries too. Portions are generous but not absurdly large. Lots of beer options, including an alcohol free one (500ml, delicious). Heaps of seating so youโ€™ll never have to wait for a table even at peak times.

Had the all you can eat. Food was so so but abundant. German beers was great. Hannah (waiter) was amazing. Not the other waiter who told us to eat our sauerkraut if we want another plate lol. Price was worth it. Overall I give it a 5 star.

Covid-19 protocols required ordering and paying for our meal on the phone via a web portal. It's the strange new (covid) normal here. They also don't do sharing platters due to health considerations. But the fare is mostly still as good as before. Let's hope we can get back to the full experience soon.

We haven't been back to the Bavarian since before COVID. We popped in this afternoon and had the crispy pork knuckle and the sausage selection, with a few beers. The meals came with a generous serve of sauerkraut, mash and gravy. Our server, Jasper, was helpful, friendly and had a great sense of humour. We thoroughly enjoyed and our meal and look for to coming back a lot sooner next time.

We ordered take away for Christmas Eve Meal. The fried pickles and croquettes were cooked well. Mashed potatoes were great! RIbs were tasty and chips with ribs were crispy and good. Chips by themselves were cold and soggy, barely golden. Sausages were not cooked through, received a frankfurter and two mystery sausages that were not what was on the menu. The cheese kransky was not a cheese kransky. They were super cheap plain sausages that were not good at all, and super undercooked. They were not edible at all. Pretzels were okay, good, but dry. It was a super expensive meal for something I could have bought for under $30 at Coles, my family was very disappointed in their Christmas Eve meal and had to order from somewhere else, because 50% had to go in trash.

Very friendly staff, which was the highlight of the experience! However most other stuff are on the more salty side for my taste bud, maybe because i'm more used to cooking with less salt. And the mash potatoes, wish it could have been more smooth, a bit dry that day.

We had our wedding reception at the Bavarian Knox on 4th May 2022. Star Wars and Star Trek themed. We frequent the Bavarian and couldnโ€™t think of a better place to celebrate our day.Tina and the staff were amazing. They dressed up and provided not only their standard high quality meals but amazing and friendly service. Tina was incredible, she kept in regular contact and took the time to not only do a lovely sign but put on Star Wars music! We are very very impressed.Iโ€™d like to give a special thanks to Hannah who went above and beyond with not only dressing up amazingly but making sure the wedding party and our guests were cared for at all times. She was constantly checking in with everyone and really went above and beyond with her service. We had an amazing day and look forward to visiting again!Ben and Jo Algar

Had one of the most enjoyable experiences for my wife and my 12th anniversary. One staff member (can't recall his name) brought such energy and enthusiasm to his job and that made the evening even better. Thank you to the kitchen staff for an amazing meal (we had the share platter - highly recommend it). And the atmosphere was great. Not too loud and tables were spaced well enough apart so you could enjoy a meal and conversation without holding hands with the next table. Thanks again to all the staff. You all made our night special.

Food was lovely especially the sausages. Service was great. Pricing for juice was surprisingly well priced, happy with that. Otherwise pricing for the mains are on the high side. We ordered Frankfurter from kids menu, $12 for 1x sausage, chips and a small ketchup, feels a bit steep. A bit disappointed that a 10% surcharge was applied for Sunday- will be a deterrent for repeat customers.

The service here is lovely, but our schnitzel's were a bit overcooked. We didn't end up ordering drinks so the lunch menu turned out to be pretty reasonable for us ($22pp).

Food generally quite good, although beware of hidden โ€œserviceโ€ fees that you will be charged at the end. Our group of 6 paid and additional $20 on a Saturday. Personally, I think it would be a better idea to just slightly raise the cost of the meals or at the very least warn diners prior to seating. Service was average at most, honestly didnโ€™t think it warranted a โ€œforced tipโ€. I hope the staff are being paid properlyโ€ฆ

Tried this place for dinner. Good ambience. The heater helped to warm up the outdoor seating which was great. Pork belly was so crunchy but quite salty. My partner enjoyed the pork knuckle. The staff were attentive despite the busy weekend service. Overall it was good, itโ€™s just the extra piece of cheese kransky for 7$ that we think is a bit pricey though.

An absolutely marvellous experience!!! Went with my two kids and staff were friendly, fast and accommodating. I ordered the crackling pork belly. All I can say is absolutely amazing!!!!! Iโ€™ve been to Germany and eaten pork belly and pork knuckles there, but this place equals them!!! Cooked to perfection. Super bonus is I no longer have to travel to the city for a bloody great feed!!! And an added bonus - prices were good and portion sizes excellent!!! Well done!

  • 1/5 Simone Almeida S. 3 years ago on Google
Went with a group of 7 friends - the food was great, drinks were watered down which was annoying but not a deal breaker - the main reason for my poor review is the staff on duty. Joseph was our waiter and he was ace, he was lovely, prompt and honestly I felt horrible for him because his shift manager was Steven. Steven was rude, spoke to staff so poorly, kept ringing the bell as a joke to โ€œannoyโ€ the chefs which turned out to just annoy the customers instead. Wonโ€™t be returning unfortunately and thatโ€™s solely based on the management.

After coming to Knox to celebrate my son getting into University today we walked around trying to decide what restaurant to try, and decided on yours. We sat down ordered, we then were informed of the Happy Hour and decided to put our drink order through after at least 4 attempts at this with a waiter using our scanner it was decided that the scanner on the table was not working and we needed to use another, by this time we had finished our meals and still had no drinks, finally it processed and the waiter bought us an additional drink as compensation for the massive delay. We also asked for water, and my son had to go inside and ask for a jug which he was given and he was told someone would bring glasses we waited another 30 minutes for glasses. The meals 5 hamburgers Cheese Deluxe were dry and overcooked, but to to top the night off as we were finishing another patron came out and vomited right beside our table and then asked us for water. When the staff realized it had occurred after the patron was pouring beer on his vomit there was an argument from the gentleman (manager???) to the waitress about who it was that did this not the inconvenience to us as customers, in the end the patron that vomited was allowed back in and we scurried to leave our table trying to avoid the vomit. What was supposed to be a celebratory dinner was an absolute nightmare with exceptionally poor service.

The food was all simply DELICIOUS and the staff were INCREDIBLY NICE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL!!! Went with some friends for a catch up and we were struggling to decide what to order as it all looked sensational!! The super friendly and helpful waitress recommended the "Best of Bavaria" which is a set menu option, affording the opportunity to taste a variety of their delectable meats, some sauerkraut and included a starter of pretzels (pictured) and a dessert of apple strudel. Needless to say, it was all simply delicious and we all enjoyed every moment of if. The pretzels were just mouthwatering after we added some fresh butter to them. The meats were all absolutely sensational and all had their own unique flavour - these included 3 different sausages, a pork knuckle, some pork belly and schnitzel too! I'm not a sweet tooth, so I left the apple strudel to my friends, but the looks of satisfaction and delight on their faces as they got stuck in more than confirmed how enjoyable the experience was. Highly recommended, come and check them out!

Came in with a couple of my mates on the 10/01 at night. We had a lovely meal! Burger was on point. Love how juicy the patty was and it was way better than the ones I had in USA. We shared the Barvarian platter amongst us boys and we couldn't agree more that it was definitely worth the money. There was a succulent pork belly and the knuckle was great. Also came with apple strudels!! To top it all off, we had a delicious mango beer. The boys and I will be having our Sunday ritual in your place so be ready!
