Lovely French Restaurant! Wonderful staff, delicious food. Make sure you top up your back account though, very pricey. We will be back!

A delightful find in Belgrave. Gorgeous little restaurant full or atmosphere and an authentic approach. Lovely young lady looked after us with a professional but friendly approach. The food was the star, as it should be and what a delight it was. I normally could not indulge in 3 courses, yet we did and it was magnificent. A sign of great food is the next day not feeling full even after indulging. An absolute quality establishment and can’t wait to visit when in the area again.

Fantastic! Elegant! Magnifique! From the prompt kind witty service, to the "best garlic bread ever" (quote from my eldest) to the gourmet cheese to the exquisite crafted main meals and impressive specials menu going beyond the french classics, to the finely balanced desserts and then the live jazz that had us dancing at the table... I thoroughly recommend!

Expensive, but high quality food. Overall, you get what you pay for. Had the Rib-eye with wine sauce, french fries included in price.

My wife says I should share this because this isn’t her personality 😂 We had our 8th wedding anniversary dinner here last night. The food was phenomenal and our waiter for the night was attentive and kind. Not only did he handle us with care, he also provided a moment of discreetness as we had a cuddle on the bench seat (humour of course). We will be back, for more cuddling and perhaps a meal ;)

Wonderful restaurant, friendly staff, nice design and atmosphere. We have tried several dishes and enjoyed them all. Particularly with mentioning are the Terrine, Scotch Fillet, and Beef Medallions. Prices are as expected from a high end French restaurant (about $70-$100 pp).

A touch of culinary class in true French style in the heart of Belgrave. Three courses all expertly prepared and the best steak I've eaten this year. The scotch fillet was perfectly cooked and tender. The accompanying sauce was accurately matched and delicious. Also an excellent wine list. Elegant atmosphere with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Pricey but worth every dollar. Great find and a certainty for many visits.

Great food, best creme Brulee ever! The only negative is that prices are quite steep, particularly the alcohol.

I am going to judge purely based on the meal and service and that would be a well deserved 5 star. I could not fault the food nor the service. It was quite busy when we came and we were lucky to have the last table available as we were walk-in patrons. The entree (Liver parfait) was 10/10. Amazing taste, I could lick the plate if no one was around. For mains, I ordered steak frites, which was 8/10. It was great but steak is steak. I will give it a plus point as the serving of French Fries was a bowl full that I ended up sharing with my husband. The other main, Kangaroo in Blueberry and Juniper Jus however, was 10/10. The meat was tender and juicy despite how kangaroo meat can be quite tough when not cooked perfectly. The sauce was to die for. This time I did run my french fries to sweep up the plate clean. The only minus (i did not factor in to the score) was how stuffy the place was. It was very hot, I am not sure whether the aircon was working and it was quite a hot night. But with food that good and amazing friendly service from the French monsieur who I assume was the owner, this is easily forgiven.

We arrived late and there were only 2 other diners. There was live music which was nice. Entrees came quickly, the most delicious house made bread and butter, snails and baked Camembert. All delicious and beautifully presented. Next was duck and beef medallions. Unfortunately the duck was extremely tough but sauce was lovely. The beef was tender and the sauce delicious. The sides of potatoes and fresh vegetables were lovely. The profiteroles were inedible. The toffee was burned and they were filled with icy, cheap icecream, no cream. The pastry had been frozen and they were not good. Unfortunately we had to send them back. The staff were lovely and the service was good. This was not a cheap night, $210 for the meal and a bottle of wine. I would say overpriced and underwhelming.

Service was friendly and approachable. Food quality was very good and there was a nice ambiance. BUT The plate designed as a share dish only had one of each thing so to share we had to cut stuff in half not possible with an oyster! We ordered the pommes Dauphine which tasted more like deep fried bread. Finally with my beef I would have preferred the option of crispy roast potatoes instead of fries. Slightly disappointed after going all that way hence only the 3 stars.

Lovely French restaurant in Belgrave, we dined here go a romantic dinner to celebrate our Anniversary. The staff were friendly and atmosphere delightful. To start we shared the scollops they were nice but seemed lacking in some seasoning. Mains we had the steak and the lamb rack. Both meals were enjoyed, the side of vegetables cooked perfectly and the fries were simply the best we have ever had. Finished off with chocolate pudding (delicious) and crepe Suzette was nice. Our bill was big but we did have 3 alcoholic drinks each. But we really enjoyed our night so happy to award the 5 stars.

My husband and I enjoyed a date night at Le Voltaire. The food was exquisite, the atmosphere was intimate and the staff were so welcoming. We booked again for Valentine’s Day and can’t wait to try more of their delicious food and drinks.

Reliably good Asian food. Decor is suburban 1990s but so are the prices. Makes for a great value quality meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended

What a superb restaurant! The food was amazing. And the service awesome. My adult children (foodies) absolutely loved the food, atmosphere and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a French food experience. A little jewel in the crown tucked away in a beautiful part of Melbourne.

This place is absolutely amazing. Very friendly staff and warm feeling place. The food is cooked absolutely perfectly and they even share how to make it! I have seen comments about price, this is a fine dining restaurant. If you want cheap go to to hogs breath.

Really cool little place. Food was delicious and there's a good range of cocktails and wines (French and local). There was an acoustic duo in when we went.... always a dicey venture in my mind but these guys were excellent. Not overpowering and the style suited the place perfectly.

This is by far one of the best restaurants I have ever come across. Yes they are a bit expensive but it's all worth it because what you buy is what you get . The food is heaven , the staff are great. Very highly recommended..

2nd time eating there. Lovely experience. Meals were amazing, and expertly matched with wines by the staff there. Worth noting that this is not a cheap experience, but in this case you definitely get what you pay for!

Cosy, classy vibe. Helpful, knowledgeable French waiter (no snooty French folk here!) who knew his wine and recommended something that married my preferences and meal choice beautifully. Lovely food presented well. Come for a little celebration or just to catch up with friends and family. This was our second visit and we'll be back.
