What a delicious lunch we had, authentic and rustic cuisine. Mothers day buffet.

Good restaurant for a small, out of the way, place. Atmosphere was fantastic, wine was brilliant, food was okay, service was very good. Tasting plate at $55 p/h was very filling. Schnitzel, goulash and pickled cabbage was great, rest was ok. Staff happy to talk about wine or food and regions, etc. Recommend for a unique and different experience of Australia's multicultural food scene.

Sorry this institution has gone. We were there a month ago and loved it. Took Hungarian friend on his first visit znd he raved how it reminded him of his mum's cooling, May she RIP. Pity they couldn't find a new chef willing to work.

Food is authentic and the hospitality is warm and genuine. We arrived last night late (close to 8pm) as they were getting ready to pack up the main course. The owner graciously seated us and served us soup and a plate of entree's which had already been packed away. He then kept the buffet open until we had finished, even cooking up some extra schnitzels so that we didn't miss out on anything. Had a great night, thank you!

Their bi-monthly Hungarian cooking class is well worth the cost of admission. Very friendly teachers and a boatload of yummy Hungarian food. A really one of a kind experience!

I started with the chicken soup with pogacsa....it tasted like home, exactly. Next was the beef goulash with nokedli and braised red cabbage....tasted like home, exactly. Next was the mix berry jam crepes and the zserbo....tasted like home, exactly! I cannot tell you how good this was and reminded me of how my grandmother cooked. This cooking is on the mark and genuine care has been put into the menu. Well done Korona Csarda.

Finally went to this Hungarian Restaurant. After finding out about this place from Google and reading many reviews, my family and I got a chance to check this out for ourselves. We have tried a couple of other Hungarian restaurants in Victoria, but by far this place is the best when it comes to food variety and taste. You get in the Buffet price, entré, csabai, salami, ham, soup, salads other side dishes and a whole lot more, some of the foods I myself have never tasted before, but they were very delicious. Afterwards the main meals are so filling, and the good thing is you can go back for more, but!!!... becareful you can get pretty full and you may not have enough room for deserts. The deserts were a treat😋. Considering the times we are living in, now that travel restrictions are in place and going to Hungary is not that safe nor easy to get to. It is safer and easier just to go to Korona Csarda for the real taste of Hungary. ( well at least a small sample of what Hungary has to offer. 😁). In summary my family and I recommend trying the hungarian cuisine , it is value for money👍🏿👍🏻👌🏾👌. There is plenty of dishes to eat, we will go back just to make sure we try them all.

Very friendly and helpful service. The three part all you can buffet was great. All the food was delicious. We enjoyed trying some different food and trying some of the large range of Pàlinka. We will definitly be back soon!

Loved this place and went many times and the food is great. However left disappointed cause out of a table or 10, 2 friends were sick with flu like symptoms and still had to pay for the no shows nearly at full price. Our table paid a lot for drinks as well which easily covered the no shows. I wish there was more empathy and i am sad that I won't be going again.

I was invited to Korona Csarda for a Birthday Party on Saturday evening. We got there at 7:30pm. I had a soup and some entrée. Around 8pm after I tried one stuffed cabbage (which was not too fresh) I noticed they started taking the food away, so I went and got some desserts cause I didn't want to miss out on them. I got some for my husband and my sister who were invited there too. At 9pm they started to clean and close some lights making us feel unwelcome despite the 11pm closing hour advertised for Saturday, so we put the remaining sweets from the plate in a napkin cause we didn't want to bother them asking for a plastic box, seeing them rushing to clean and close. The owner was very rude when he came to pick up the plate and noticed the napkin with the sweets.
