Just wrapped our 5th visit. Rooms are always clean and accommodating, staff is warm and approachable throughout all the hotel sectors. Parking is extremely affordable Restaurant cooks up delicious options and affordable pricing too Our bookings usually vary from $150 to $220 per night, and no other place manages to provide a similar value, and we tried many locations :) If you need a quick getaway, this location is HIGHLY recommended. Gym is a bit disappointing and could be invested in a bit more :/

Great place to meet up with friends for a drink. Pleasant atmosphere, nice decor. We were just a little disappointed with the barman who made our drinks. We ordered Margherita which on the menu said Cointreau however we noticed him using Triple Sec and he said they were both the same thing......not impressed because they are definitely not.

First time staying in a hotel attached to a shopping centre. I like the concept of it if it's over the weekend, but during the week I'm not sure since the centre closes at 530 most days and there's not much to do otherwise. I luckily stayed a week before Christmas so there was late night shopping every day. The hotel itself was really good, I personally wasn't a fan of the pillows and I tried a few.

Attended a function sat was great food and great service Don't get fooled into buying the $10 car park ticket from reception like our family of 7 did as you don't need one Bit of a scam conning people to pay for parking when we were only there for 4 hrs. And there was no need to.

The room is very nice, large screen TV at the end of the bed. Free nearly new movies!! Clean and warm. Sadly they only supply small towels and the only other issue was an unfriendly check in.

We weren't impressed by Sage Ringwood. The staff members weren't friendly or welcoming. We would walk past them and they wouldn't even bother to acknowledge us or smile. The bar also closed quite abruptly at just before 930pm on a Saturday night. As we were ordering our first round of drinks at about 925pm, he said these would be the last drinks. We asked if we could purchase more drinks now seeing as that was the case and he said no. Why advertise that the bar is open until 11pm on Google and close before 930pm on a Saturday night? What hotel does this? In addition, we were not given an upgraded room even though we booked a package which said we would get the upgraded room subject to availability. Well there were at least 5 rooms showing available online so this really disappointed us. In addition, I also had a bad sleep and woke up in pain due to the super high pillows. The rooms also had no windows that could open so if you went fresh air, I would avoid.

We had dinner at Sage Hotel and the service was excellent. Our waiter Daniel went far & beyond. Made our night easy with our dietary requirements. All 5 of us will be back

Clean and modern, we had a comfortable stay. Staff were efficient and knew their work. Good tariff and upgrades available if you book through the hotel. We would happily stay again.

The stay was fine BUT a work colleague came away with food poisoning and I contracted tinea from the shower! Cleaning - leaves a lot to be desired! I’ve been trying to get an invoice from my stay for the last three weeks. This has gone back and forth between myself and the hotel with them promising and not delivering. I tried to call three times today and on all occasions and have got cut off!

Great place to stay Conveniant, transport options and a large mall. Only down side is slow free wifi.

Starting from the beginning. Booking a room was a disorganised nightmare. We were suppose to book on a wedding block with a set price. The price changed multiple times. Half the team had no idea where to find or apply a reservation to the room block and when we finally got through via email, the checkout day and guest names were wrong. Despite having it spelt out in the email. Thankfully that was fixed in person. The stay was decent once that was sorted, although the rooms are small they are laid out well. However like most hotels, the king bed is 2 singles pushed together, which is fine if the hotel has the appropriate topper. This one did not. There was a cliff down the middle of the bed that could not be ignored. But wait, there's more. After declining having the room turned over the first two nights, we went out and it was done while we weren't there. Which at first was a nice feeling. Until I realised that my very new and expensive eyeliner that was left on the bathroom sink got stolen. Not wanting to believe this was the case, my partner and I went through everything but it was hard to ignore that it was obviously taken from the line of makeup I'd placed out. But don't worry, management "spoke to them". You'd get better service from a motor-inn on the side of the road. I strongly recommend saving the headache.

A fairly stark room obviously aimed at the business traveler. Food was disappointing. Smokers not accommodated for. The venue for our conference needs some serious acoustic treatment.

Great location, shopping centre below makes longer stays easy. Excellent co working facilities in the hotel but no lunch service??? Not even the bar menu. Very odd. Rooms spacious and new as it would appear are the staff: they're attentive but just don't have the polish and experience. Will stay again.

I have stayed here about 4 or 5 times over the past several months. Modern, clean, access to Public Transport and the Mall. The service has consistently been great. Adrian really looks after his patrons, and goes above and beyond. Even helped me find nearby restaurants for a special occasion. The girl who consistently checks me in around 8pm-10pm at night is friendly and quick to check me in and makes me feel looked after. There is also a hardworking guy who manages the late night shift constantly maintaining the surrounds. Only feedback is some customers leave markings on the wall or tiles (skid type marks). It would just be nice if these were cleaned up. Only seen this issue on this particular occasion. Room 924. Look forward to coming back in a few months.

We love staying at Sage Ringwood. We would like to especially commend Adrian at the front desk who caters to our needs with detail and is always very welcoming; Merrill in the restaurant who is a friendly and very capable manager and Hayley in the restaurant who serves us so well. Staff like this help to make this a wonderful home away from home.

Very convenient and comfortable stay! Modern hotel, beautiful view from the room. Excellent customer service, all staff are friendly and helpful. Chrome cast TV is amazing! Love it! Easy access to Eastland shopping centre, plenty of food options, and cinema and play centre. Breakfast and dinner at Partake restaurant are delicious. Daniel and Merril from the restaurant provided exceptional service. And thanks to Sonia, Oscar and Adrian from reception who are very helpful and welcoming. Recommended place to stay if you’re visiting Ringwood or planning to go to Yarra Valley.

Room was good, neat & clean Regular cleaning is done If you opt out for room cleaning for one day, you will get 10 AUD credit which you can use in restaurant & bar No dental kit provided, also no complementary water in room, although you can have water (still, sparkled) as much you want from restaurant and carry to your room Eastland shopping mall is in same building which is good

Absolutely beautiful. the service was incredibly nice and polite. Duty Manager Adrian was amazing and helped us with everything. It was also my daughters birthday and the hotel provided us with a wonderful voucher. The staff was lovely, the food was nice, bar atmosphere was beautiful and set out wonderfully. Overall had a wonderful stay and will definitely be staying again.

It's not common knowledge that Sage has a bar and restaurant. Because of that it's mostly quiet, a decent selection of beers, ciders, wines and cocktails. A great view over Ringwood and lovely atmosphere. A great place to catch up with a friend for a drink and some nibbles.

Amazing decor in the lobby and common areas. Rooms are also quiet, comfortable and spacious. Restaurant service was somewhat slow and had a limited menu selection. Staff appeared rushed and stressed. If not for this would have given 5 stars.

Clean, modern close to shopping complex. If you don't have a car perfect. Close to all transport as in right outside door. Great sound proofing. Friendly staff

Wanted a mini-getaway being 38 weeks pregnant & travel limited with covid thought a night in a hotel to enjoy some luxuries would be nice. So I booked the Exec King room, made the booking over the ph. At time of booking I enquired about valet parking (for obvious difficulty walking reasons) & was told valet information would be included in my booking confirmation email. Confirmation email arrived & yes, it had info on where to go for valet. Fast forward to arrival, pull into valet, no one around. Park the car and walk to valet desk to be told no valet service due to covid. A bit miffed, but oh well, head on up to reception & check in. Lovely room, though for an Exec room more than one chair so both my husband & I could sit down would have been nice. Notice there is no mini bar/snacks, but also notice a note that mentions this is due to covid. Ok, no problems. Settle in for an evening of relaxation, browse the in-room dining menu (lots of yummy options), make our selections and call to place the order. (6.30pm on a Sat btw) only to be told, no in-room dining until breakfast at 7am. Pretty damn annoyed at this stage. So in my uncomfortable state, the only option for dinner was to walk to the (albeit nearby) restaurants, in the rain. I completely understand having limited services and limited staffing due to covid. But I find it unacceptable to not mention this to customers prior to booking, or at a minimum upon arrival. On the plus side, bed was comfortable, and soundproofing was excellent.

Sage Hotel Ringwood was clean and comfortable however rather underwhelming. The rooms look great and bed was comfy but pillows were like rocks with no others to choose from. One chair was low and uncomfortable and the other an office chair. Nowhere to eat except at desk. Lighting was way to bright for night time with no lamps at bedside. Air con was set and could not be adjusted so if it's turned on 18° was the only option. Breakfast menu was limited and no basic options. Parking was great , easy and clean. Having said that we would stay again as the staff were lovely and cleanliness was excellent.

A reasonable hotel for a stopover. It's recently built so the facilities are new and clean; it's very catered to the business traveller and rooms have the expected amenities - you are on top of Eastland Shopping Centre, so for expect much in terms of picturesque views. There is no lunch option here, so avoid needing to eat from 11am - 4pm, as both the bar, restaurant and room service are all closed. Staff could benefit from some further training in hotel management and operations, as the experience with staff was a bit clunky.

Love this hotel, rooms are so clean and modern, beds are dreamy comfortable. So many facilities, bar, dining and lounge area as well as library and work stations are all in a lovely area of the hotel. Very cute Christmas vibe

Very comfortable, clean rooms and friendly staff, restaurant in house was great too. Highly recommended

Poor experience, lost our booking, lied to us at front desk regarding room, the nice cleaners and housekeepers are worked to the bone, rooms not clean as no time to do the job properly, lack of vacuuming, spillage in lift for days, grubby foyers from outside, very poor internet, restauraunt is ok, some good chefs and nice to chat to, this is a management issue, staff seemed undertrained and understaffed. There is rarely anyone at front desk. On a Saturday afternoon, bar is closed and nothing to eat or snack on. This was a long stay for business, I told them I needed to return to area again and they have forced us to look for other local hotel.

DISGUSTING service! Management in charge of cleaning and their staff have a terrible attitude! Not sure how you are running when your employees are rushing to clean rooms and not do an efficient job

Stayed at Sage Melbourne Ringwood whilst in town for walk. This is a brilliant place to stay if you need to stay in the area. The hotel is honestly nice as. Very modern and classy. Parking underneath the shopping centre for $10 and night and if you read the signs unlike me it’s actually really easy to get too. Room was massive with plenty of space and a great view of the area. Clean and comfortable bed along with the rest of the room. All you could ask for in a hotel and well priced given the level of hotel. All in all would highly recommend.

Courteous staff. The food in the restaurant was superb. We could not fault our dinner. The best fish and chips my husband has ever had-and he's fussy!!Good range of local wines, including local whiskey too. Absolutely one of the best meals in the area.

Really nice hotel with lots of quality shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Good in hotel restaurant. Train station across the road and on a main bus route. 2 lift rides to access rooms.

The room was nice however the bathroom wasn't cleaned when we got there. Also the layout of the bathroom is odd and small. But overall had an ok experience at the hotel.

  • 2/5 Glenn W. 1 year ago on Google
There were some major negatives but some great positives about this hotel. Negative for me is the tv in the rooms is locked to only their purchase based system. They have a custom rom on them locking out the HDMI ports to make sure you use their pay for view systems. This means you can't use your own devices which are not great for family or business travellers. The key cards only one of the two given worked so was locked out of the room. Positives is the staff are great, they were friendly and attempted to be helpful. The rooms are comfortable and modern and fresh. If they can solve the technical issues the rating would be much higher.
