Pretty good "all you can eat" restaurants. Tested everything and the signatures one was Eggplant Salad, Vegetable Kakiage, Mushroom Salad and Prown Goyoza. The Edamame and, Sushi & Sashimi Plater, Teriyaki Steak were also great. At the end Vanila and Japanese green tea ice creams were also perfect.

Not all Okami are created equal, and this particular location is my personal favourite. Food is above average and the wait times for the dishes are reasonable enough. I tend to stick to the beef tataki, tempura and assorted sashimi whenever I dine here, and for desserts the taiyaki and ice cream. Value for money is definitely what you'll be getting here.

This is one of the many branches in Melbourne metropolitan. We have tried in other locations so it is fair to say we will be back again. Food is served efficiently and freshly prepared. Taste is good for a buffet style dinner. We hardly take any photos lof all the food ordered as we are too busy enjoying the food. Staff are attentive in taking orders and clearing the empty plates. Ice cream variety is great to finish it off a nice meal. The only miss for us is the miso soup, lacking tofu and seaweed. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars! Update of 2nd visit and more photos : All the orders came freshly made. Sake goes well with sushi and others.

Called in at 4:55 and got a table for two at 5:00 pm that day. The staff were friendly and attentive (better than the Williamstown one). The food was delicious, although some of them were a bit salty. Miso soup was the best. Finishing up with the matcha ice cream, and I also enjoyed it. Highly recommend it if you are with your friends or family and have no idea where to go.

Wow, what can I say. I have been coming to this restaurant since 2014 and unfortunately due to the many changes and decrease in quality, i don't believe i will be returning. First the change in ordering, now having to order everything on your phone. We did so and waited 25 MINUTES for a dish to come and when it did, so did every other dish so there was no space. Due to this, we couldn't order as much as it took too long to come. The plates were stacked on top of each other with the bottom of the plates touching the food we were served. The customer service was shocking, I had never experienced something like that at the restaurant before and don't know if its a new owner or management but everything has just gone down. The ice cream used to be delicious (specifically green tea) but now they give you packaged ice cream that tastes disgusting and old. The worst part is with all this decrease in customer service, food and experience, the one thing that keeps increasing is the price. If you loved this place and haven't come back in a while, don't expect the same experience at all. I would recommend choosing a different all you can eat restaurant.

We were waiting for 30-45 mins for our food to come. We were only two at our table. Looks like other tables were better served. Pic here is one out of 3 dishes we ordered in the last 30 mins. With how things going, we will be waiting another 30 mins for the other 2 to arrive. Edit: when I followed up with one of the servers, she begrudgingly said we don't have any pending. Like I owe her something for asking. That's it. We're done. We've been supporting Okami from Ballarat, Footscray, Caufield, and more recently Hampton. I don't think I'll be visiting this branch any time soon.

Incredible food and service. It was a busy night and staff were so attentive. Food was fresh, hot and delicious, and there was a great variety to accommodate all different dietary requirements in our group of six.

Food is great, however if you single and want to have a Japanese dinner by yourself do t come here, as you’ll be disappointed. You CANT have the all you can eat if you’re alone. Such an absurd, charge more but don’t banish customer for trying the offer. Never so that in my life! Something to improve!

though very busy the food and service was perfect. after ordering almost the whole menu i can confidently say the food is top tier, every single meal is set out to look very nice and the food tastes devine. rich in flavour and always enough for a meal. the service was by far the best i have ever seen. after ordering most of the meals on the menu we received them all within 10-20 minutes. the only slight problem was it is very busy, it is obvious why however due to the food being so perfect.

The food was subpar. It was not made well and was overcooked and underflavored. The servers were very busy and looked hassled. A number of items that I ordered did not arrive. The place itself was extremely noisy and was one of the noisiest restrarants that I have ever eaten at. Overall it was not a pleasant place to have a night out.

Visited this place for dinner on a weekend. Booking—easy and smooth. Space—first floor space looks a bit crowded. Not much space for some movement. The place was fully booked it was a bit noisy. Food—I’ve been to a 3 other Okami branches. The miso and teriyaki steak were a little bit salty but it was still okay. Parking—street parking available.

The food was good and tasty, and served quickly. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We chose the "All you can eat" menu ( $39.80/ person , minimum two people). Okami can be very busy on Friday and Saturday nights. They also have plenty of space with two service kitchens. One on the ground floor and one on the first floor.

Food was terrible & tasteless Nicely presented but poor quality, preprepared Japanese food. The staff just nodded at our response and we just paid the bill and left.. Absolutely would not reccomend unless you have a case of no taste buds, or really don't care about what you eat.

The food is good, and service is excellent. The food was fast, the wait staff were attentive, and the place was so busy! They also handled food intolerances well, including onions and garlic. We had an early booking, and people just kept coming in. We were looking for somewhere quiet, but enjoyed it regardless. So this is definitely the place to go if you want fast, all -you-can-eat Japanese with a lively atmosphere!

Friday afternoon, 5.45pm, booked for a group of 7 all you can eat. It was basically full upon arrival. Waiter barely spoke English but guided us to order via QR. The website worked fine so we ordered entrees. Waited. Ordered drinks, Waited. Prompted a waiter who seemed disinterested. Food came. Ordered more and from then it was a total mess of wrong dishes, very late. The quality was average compared to some rather better options in surrounding suburbs. Overall the experience was disappointing and I doubt I will return.

Update: I was approached by the restaurant and they offered complimentary meals to give Okami another chance. We dined there on Valentine’s Day. The service was great, food quality was good and staff were attentive. I couldn’t see the previous waiters so I hope the new staff will stay around for a while. I changed my review to 5 stars as we had a good experience. Used to be a decent place but not anymore. We visited few nights ago and the service was terrible. Their QR codes were not working and the staff were not keen to help. Foods were cold and it was a struggle to grab one of the waiters. You could tell other tables were frustrated too. I sent an email to Okami the next day. All they did was a generic apology response. We won’t be dining there anymore.

Used to be great but since they got their QR codes, service went terrible. Clueless waiters, can’t get their attention, food/ drinks wait times are extremely long. We were a table of two surrounded by big tables of 10+ and we were unnoticeable to waiters, they would walk straight past red “service please”sign. We weren’t the last ones to arrive but definitely were the last ones to get our meals. Seemed like they couldn’t cope with amount of tables, but with all due respect, that shouldn’t be customers problem. Will be visiting different franchise hoping for a better service

Great value all you can eat, food is prepared fresh for each order and the quality is great for the price. Customer service is fantastic and plates were cleared quickly. Servers checked on us regularly and provided ample opportunity to order more dishes. Highly recommend as a great way to try a variety of food at a great price!

All you can eat option is a must, very friendly staff and a relaxing vibe atmosphere. Highly recommend this place so if you're planning on doing the all you can eat menu, be sure to prepare yourself by skipping lunch to have a big dinner here.

This place is fantatsic. Not only is the all-you-can-eat great value, the quality of the food and the speed of the service is superb. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. We felt like we got great value for money and left feeling full but not too full. I can't believe it's taken us so long to go but now we have, we'll be back very soon.

Very busy place- so maybe not for you if you want a quiet dining experience. Had the all you Can eat for ~ $38. Couldn't fault the food or the service. We were not left wondering when we can order next. Ended up ordering about four serves of the beef carpaccio- 10/10 recommend this!

Great food quality. Very reasonable price. Service is fine. But a few times they missed our order and we had to order again to get the food.

They people not only make the nicest tasting food, they are also smart! They have an all-you-can-eat menu, where by you can eat all you want, however you have to keep your wastage down to a minimum as they charge for the wastage. This is the first time I have heard of such a business idea and it works perfectly! No one wants to waste good food! Given the amount of waste we humans produce. This company is also promoting less food wastage which leads to an environmentally friendly service. When you know your going to be charged for the wasted food (in an all-you-can-eat) setting, you more conscious on how much you can eat.

This place is awful, they don’t have any sushi variety ( on the menu: California, ebi,…) in the restaurant only cooked tuna. Fish taste like it was frozen, staff was super friendly but wouldn’t bring us what we order, we won’t be back.

We have been to this Okami restaurant already 3 times in the last 6 months. Although today was Mother's Day and the extremely busy, the service was excellent. The food, as always was very tasty, and the portions adequate. Today we loved the fried rice, the prawn gyoza, the beef carpaccio among other things, as well as the sesame seed ice cream. Definitely worth coming and an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere!!!
