I had the pleasure of visiting Quarry Bakehouse over the weekend, and I was instantly charmed by this lovely small cafe. Though the seating inside and outside is somewhat limited, the cozy ambiance more than makes up for it, making it a perfect spot to take a break and indulge. The café offers a variety of both hot and cold food options, ensuring there's something for everyone. But what truly caught my eye was their beautiful selection of desserts. Each pastry seemed like a piece of art, almost too pretty to eat—almost. The staff were lovely too. Whether you're in need of a satisfying bite or just craving something sweet to reward you from your 1000 steps challenge (not too far down the road), Quarry Bakehouse has you covered for sure. I can't wait for my next visit to try the sausage roll (the customer in front of us ordered all of them - just missed out)

The worst bakery I have ever been. Ham and cheese croissant was completely burnt underneath and just oily. The sausage roll again burnt, oily and the meat looked uncooked with pink sections in middle. Chicken pesto - this was not burnt but just very very oily. We were looking forward to it as its look good on the display shelves but never come back here again..see images below.

Really cute little spot, the croissants were to die for and the chicken burger/breakfast burger was really nice also. It was super busy which is usually a good sign, coffee was perfectly roasted and had really delicious cream on top. Highly reccomend :)

Great for coffee and pastries. Go early if it's the weekend as they get really busy. The bread is also unreal. I can easily eat half a loaf just with butter. Everything else I've tried is scary good. Danishes, donuts, croissants. You can't go wrong. Vanilla slice! Oh man. I want some right now.

Came here for lunch, friendly staff service was very quick. The burger and toastie were delicious. Long black was fabulous (5/5) - full bodied, great crema, exactly the right temperature. Chai latte was very nice too. Highly recommended!

The service is impeccable, the Blaat perhaps the best I've had in my life, and unique rich baked goods to try! If you're around the corner from the 1000 Steps do yourself a favour and check this place out!

A charming little cafe. Inside interior is nice and has tropical/beachy feel. Outside there are a few tables. Coffee was nice and tried balsamic fig cheesecake. Couldn’t taste the balsamic but in general, nice cheesecake. Very filling so good for sharing. I like fig so it was nice to have a bit of figs on top and inside the cake. There are other amazing looking pastries and cakes too here.

Tiny, unassuming and yet hidden little gem. Came here on a whim to kill some time and decided to try the croissant. Being disappointed by various mass made baked products, I wasn’t expecting much - but i was very pleasantly surprised. The croissants here are super buttery and melt in your mouth. The ham and Swiss cheese within tasted very delicious. My only regret is that I wasn’t hungry enough to order more. I did get the créme brûlée donut which was similarly decadent. Service was quick, smiley and courteous. If you are in the area definitely search out this place for a quick bite - you’ll be glad you did.

We ordered a bunch of vegan pastries and slices which Quarry especially made up for us, and they were really great food enjoyed by all! Sourdough bread also was the best we have had.

Cozy cafe in Ferntree Gully. Their pastries are great. We also ordered the almond croissant but forgot to take a picture .

One of the best bakeries in this part of the town. So glad they survived covid.

Good customer service. They noticed we shared a pie and offered to cut it in half for us. Good air conditioning. Beef and pepper beef pie is nice. Most importantly, the pastry is crispy. :p

Staff are so so lovely! The chicken pesto roll was delicious, affordable and a great size. That crème brûlée donut though 🤤 Will definitely be coming back!

Popped in for lunch and their pies are delicious. Chunky beef and black pepper was 5/5. Great flaky pastry and good ratio of chunks of steak.

Small cafe but huge on authentic and amazing pastries. Coffee not bad either.. My favourite go to place if I'm wanting something special. Great food, staff are efficient and welcoming. Have some great bread for purchase too.

Nice little cafe. Delicious desserts. But we went there for lunch and we ordered one burger and one BLAAT. We waited over half an hour and our food still hadn't come. So we asked for our food and they said they forgot to give the order to the kitchen. Put a bit of a damper on our day out.
