Absolutely
appalling
customer
service.
My
husband
and
I
purchased
our
wedding
bands
from
SH
Jewellery
last
year,
mine
platinum
and
my
husband's
was
white
gold.
Within
3-4
months,
my
husband's
ring
had
become
very
yellow
and
tarnished.
It
was
also
quite
scratched.
I
contacted
SH
and
was
advised
to
send
the
ring
back
for
inspection.
I
was
subsequently
called
and
told
that
the
ring
had
sustained
a
lot
of
damage,
and
that
my
husband
must
have
been
some
sort
of
a
tradie
who
used
his
hands
a
lot.
Definitely
not
-
he
is
an
engineer
who
sits
at
a
desk
all
day
long
(check
out
the
photo
of
his
hands).
But
the
guy
on
the
phone
kept
saying
that
the
ring
wouldn't
have
been
so
scratched
if
that
was
the
case
(essentially
implying
that
I
was
being
untruthful).
But
that
was
exactly
my
point!
This
shouldn't
have
happened,
and
the
fact
it
had
clearly
showed
that
the
ring
was
defective
and
not
fit
for
purpose.
Anyway,
I
was
told
I'd
be
contacted
again
a
couple
of
days
later
-
never
happened,
so
I
rung
back.
This
time
I
was
advised
that
the
supplier
had
said
that
it
shouldn't
have
happened,
but
that
this
was
somehow
our
fault?!
Again
statements
were
made
about
how
much
wear
and
tear
the
ring
must
have
sustained,
before
the
guy
on
the
phone
started
comparing
the
ring
to
a
pair
of
shoes,
saying
that
if
you
wore
a
pair
of
shoes
then
eventually
the
heel
would
wear
down...
sure,
but
you
wouldn't
expect
a
WEDDING
BAND
to
be
looking
as
terrible
as
this
one
was
within
3-4
months.
Also
isn't
the
idea
behind
a
wedding
band
that
you
wear
it
every
day?
He
then
told
me
that
given
it
had
been
12
months
since
we
ordered
they
could
polish
the
ring
back
up
and
send
it
back,
but
that
they
wouldn't
provide
a
refund
(despite
the
fact
we
got
married
at
the
end
of
2020).
Given
the
plating
wore
off
stupid
quick
last
time,
I
don't
have
any
faith
in
the
product
withstanding
absolutely
reasonable
use
any
better.
Extremely
disappointed
by
this
whole
process.
We're
now
looking
at
other
avenues
of
recourse,
because
as
far
as
we
are
concerned
SH
Jewellery
are
in
breach
of
their
consumer
law
obligations.
Do
yourself
a
favour,
and
if
you're
considering
white
gold
look
elsewhere.
